Well they just popped their pretty little head's. Got my Bloom Plus at about 3/4 strength and hanging at 20 inches. They seem healthy so far. They popped tap roots in less than 24 hours using the glass if water method.
Going well, starting to show some vigor now that 3 fingered leaves have developed. I'm not going to give any nutrients until transplant in about 3 to 4 weeks. I have already prepped the medium with Happy Frog amendment 6-5-4 and Nature's Living Soil.
I was going to mainline these but I think I'll be using a trellis net and top at the 4 node and fill in the trellis with tops.
Doing great although I may have mixed their soil a little hot. I'm not to worried though because I'm transplanting in about 2 and a half weeks or when they reach the trellis net whatever comes first. Looking forward to these dos si dos 33 and by the looks I may have 2 different phenotypes and that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Cheers!!!
Well I decided to transplant these two finiky gals. I'm hoping after the initial shock of the transfer their growth rate will pick up some vigor. I believe that I may have added a bit to much happy Frog all purpose in their original pots. I'm going for a water only organic grow so I will not be using any bottled nutes. I want to bring out the beauty of the Dosi 33 to it's potential. I prefere a main-line style training technique but decided to top at the 3rd node and use LST to train the plants. I will also use a trellis net to spread them out as much as possible.
As far as feeding schedule there isn't one. I pre amended two 3.5 gallon plastic pots with Nature's living soil original amendment. I also brewed a nice compost tea and used that to pre soak the medium to activate all those amazing microbes and good stuff. I did this process 12 days before transplanting my gals into the said pots. This helps to make sure the soil isn't too hot. Also it has a very strong and not too pleasent odor and pre wetting helps to keep your house or whatever from smelling like poo 💩.
Transplanted both Dosi gals about a week ago and they have responded well to their new Nature's living soil mix. I also switched from 18-6 to 12-12 three days ago. I haven't grown Dosi 33 yet so therefore I'm not accustomed to it's growth or flower stretch. I'm going to start counting flower weeks next update.
Now to the ladies , there doing super and take quite well to let training. I know for sure that I have two different phenotypes due to the smell. One has a very amazing smell that reminds me of lambsbreath. The other one has a more traditional smell with something else I can't put my finger on. Keep in mind that these stinkers haven't followed yet.
So for here on out its very important to keep em happy 😁.
Well one of the 33's is suffering from ph issues. I checked the run off last week and it was very low. 4.3. So I flushed with gallons of water and checked the run off today and it was back in range @ 5.8ish. Her sister is rocking it, haven't missed a beat. The stinker is not really stretching all that much wile sister stretchy is reaching for the sky. So with the ph issue under control I do believe that the stinker will start showing some vigor.
You know fellow growmies? It seems to me that when I pop multiple beans of the same strain, the special and unique phenotypes that stand out are the most difficult to keep happy.
Case in point" the stinker". She's got a very unique smell, she's already super sticky, and all this in during the veg cycle. Now that she's showing sex and shooting hair's the smell and stickyness is even more noticeable. If I have to stand on my head for the rest of the grow just to keep her happy, then that's what I'll do.
CHEERS!!!
Sister stinky is finally showing some good color and healthy new growth. She's way behind ass far as flowering and just now showing hairs.
Sister stretchy is rocking it. Doing great and not missing a beat. All I'm doing is giving water with excellent results thus far.
I've noticed she's producing tricomes and developing a nice peppery smell.
Doing super especially#2. The sucky gal had finally come out of her stunted hybernation and begun producing green new growth and some really nice " frosty " pre flowers . I've also got some cuttings that will hopefully take so I can keep #1's genetics around. #2 is starting to frost up and fatten nicely. The buds are forming nice flowerets that are already super dense and covered in trichomes.
Anywho I'm halfway there and the end results are going to be top shelf thanks to Barnies Farm.
Just because they are white, doesn't mean they are mature. Over time they will grow in size until the head becomes too heavy and they will start to bend under their own weight. Slowly turning amber when over ripe. They may be white, but not right! Good luck
Just kicking back and allowing the flowers to fatten up, and are they getting fat. I've only watered from seed with tap water adjusted to a range of 6.3-6.7 ph and I can see and smell the results. #2 is absolutely beautiful#1 is starting to develop some interesting flowers. It may be that I'm not accustomed to #1's bud structure. I'm not saying there bad they are dense and covered is sugar. #1 is about 3 weeks behind because of a very low soil ph. Since a few flushes she has regained her color and vigor. So now I know I can bring a plant back from the brink of death. And have a good harvest of sticky 33 for me.
CHEERS!!!
Hey all my Dos si Dos 33 tricomes are all milky oversized and starting to lean over. The thing is I still have about 2 weeks left. I can't for some reason load picks do please check out the latest picks in diary.
Wow I'm in bud heaven. Both plants are doing good especially#2. # 2 is absolutely stunning, covered in frost and getting very chunky buds. Her growth has been spot on since germination. She has displayed good hybrid vigor and in honest opinion Barney's farm has nailed it on this genetic masterpiece.
#1 is now stacking very nice flowers as well being that all her troubles are gone thanks to a couple of good flushes and some fresh organic amendment. Her flower structure is very different from her sister, more polyploid than than the traditional structure. I have to admit that she is becoming a very beautiful specimen of a cannabis plant.
CHEERS!!!
😲😳 wow!!! Is this strain something to behold, absolutely gorgeous to look at, such a exotic smell it's like a sweet cream cake with lemon frosting topped with fresh cracked pepper all while surrounded by fresh cut pine aroma.
I have 2 phenotypes I have dubbed the Stinker and Sister Stretchy. The stinker suffered a severe lock out at the beginning of flower so she's at least 2 weeks behind. Sister stretchy is begging to be harvested. I still have almost another week of flowering according to the breeder but :(, after my routine inspection of her trichomes on the caylx' and buds not the sugar leaves I found myself looking at a forest of tricomes that went from 80%cloudy with remaining amber. Today's inspection with a 60× jewelers loop revealed a surprising half of the trichomes cloudy with the rest amber. So it is any day now 😃. Can't wait because it's gonna be some fire ass bud.
This week involves the stinker taking center stage as her sister is cut and curing.
All I can say and think is hum??? this plant is stacking some flowers I have never grown before. I seem to have a phenotype that has genetic fountaining. About 90% of the buds are flat with multiple fox tails erupting from so points on the buds.
Luckily for me I took some cutting's when she was in about week 4 of flower and re vegged them, time Will tell.
I'm really excited for this plant because she is getting very very chunky and covered in sugar with a very tantalizing aroma.
What do I have? I've searched all grow forums and have not come across a phenotype such as mine, a Dos si Dos 33 that is stacking some rater interesting fox tail flowers"not the bad kind". I'm not complaining at all,the buds are beautiful and frosty.
Thats typical in barney bro, i have had that same style of grow with barney in their blue gelato 41, in a glookies and in a runtz muffin, they are getting bud above bud and really fat up, its all good, that's barney bro
I grew two plants and they couldn't have been and more different from each other. One plant grew quite well in my organic amended soil, the other suffered from pH issues and did not like any kind of stress. The plants leaves grew quite different some were webbed especially the ones on the larger flowers. The structure of the flowers on this plant are very chunky fox tail with absolutely gigantic caylex', almost had me thinking seeds. This plant also took almost 3 more weeks in flower than her sister. This plant also had a nice fade with some pink, red, violet, gold colors coming through. Both plant have similar smell with one being a little more pungent and gassy.
Now for the normal plant, she grew like a rock star. Hey flowers are covered in sugar and are top shelf dense. She was too down about two weeks ago and is in jars and curing, let me say this though"when Barney's Farm says to use caution they mean it". This plant produced some very strong medicine so much so that I may have found a strain I would grow continually for a year or so. It's that good IMO. The plant did not give me a single bit of fuss 🤗, unlike her sister.
Now I have the remaining plant hung up to dry and trim. Can't wait
Cheers!!!
