HHarvest day! I decided to chop both ladies down after 10 (70) days of flowering. I know you should add 2 weeks to breeder stated flowering time, but in week 9 I figured the UH#1 lady was damaged badly, and I didn’t want to risk going 11 weeks in case the conditions worsened. Near the end of week 10, trichomes were 90% cloudy, 5% clear, and 5% amber on both the SLH and UH#1. As I want the effects to be ‘head high’ (hence growing sativas), I figured this is perfect trichome ratios. I intended to water + feed at the beginning of week 10, but it seems the girls had enough water still to go without further watering and feeding. This, again, is perfect as it meant the ladies ate up everything remaining in the medium, and even started to go a bit hungry. After 70 days, I put them into darkness for 24 hours (so the ladies kept their sugars in their roots, as well as give them one last ditch effort at squeezing out some resin) and kept temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius. They were harvested straight afterwards. The trim was turned into some live BHO resin, and let me tell you . . . Delicious! These ladies smell fire👌, and I can’t wait for the drying to be done! One of the SLH donkey dicks weighed in at 232 g wet . . . so I have a good feeling I should get over 200g dry. I will post the dry results next week in the harvest section, as well as a conclusion to the grow.
Note: it took 2 people over 4 hours to trim, and it still wasn't finished, hence the poor trim job on some of the buds. Don't hate👽 You get tired of it afte a while haha.
How is this your first grow lmao - your set up and technique is mad pro! I'm learning! looking forward to seeing those esthetics once your ladies really start to bloom!
@Dabout,
Ayyy she is 👌👻
While I was extremely displeased with the germination rate (1/4 seeds 😠), this lady turned out magnificently! She is stunning, and it's a pity she is stealing the limelight from the UH 😂 But, she is in the front and only having 3 main colas means she is focusing everything into them.
@MUDBUG,
I just bought them from the hardware store. I made the light from scratch; took me 12 hours but worth it for costing US$ 70 👽👌 I cut away the plastic covering these lights had to expose the LED chips.
@LeeTHaze, I have to say you've done well! You've entered a hobby at full force but like you said you planned it out! Glad to see you creating a feed and it paying off too! I'll keep following! Good luck!
@CAMOGROWN,
So I may have got a lot of things right (due to my prior preparation + research), but I still got a number of things incorrect 👻but I am a first time cannabis grower so I'm not too fazed, I will simply learn from my mistakes.
PS; I am a keen gardener. I have had many a successful harvest of herbs and vegetables 💪 so that does help a lot as well haha.
