The end has come! These are the last pictures taken right before I chopped her down. She really had an extreme fruity-ish type smell once I started moving her around to chop. I noticed some amber showing on slot of the buds so I followed advice n chopped her. It was a great experience growing for the first time. I'll be honest, it was simpler than I thought it would be. I didn't really have any major issues at any point. I would say in the beginning figuring out what distance from the light was the toughest obstacle. I dobt really use nutrients, mostly just plain ole rain water seemed to work. I used strings n tied down the outer limbs to the pot with clothes pins. This gave it the flatter more surfaced shape in order to give as much light as possible to the plant. Also, when I induced the flowering it barely stretched at all. I was surprised bc I've read they can double in size but it definitely did nothing of the sort in this case. I'll definitely use the pin trick to shape any future projects. Now time to dry and start the next process.

Hey man looks like a cracking grow. Those buds should fly you to the moon I reckon. You should get yourself a jewellers loupe and have a look at the trichomes. When you see the orange trichomes, it’s pretty close to harvest time. I’d say this lady has another week to two weeks to go.

@Heresay, thanks man I really appreciate it. I am not exactly sure what a trichome is or what I'm looking for. Is it the white crystals I'm seeing? Also it has alot of white hairs especially towards the bottom. Does that mean anything? Also I noticed there are a few gaps between the buds where it's just stems. Does that fill in complete or is that normal to not be one solid bud through the whole stem? Are there any other ways to identify without buying the jewelers loupe? I read all the hairs fold back it is ready but I have a nice amount still sticking out, is that bad or good or even matter? Thanks for any info!

The trichomes are the crystals, yes. The white hairs means the buds are still growing. Another way to check is to see from other sources how long this strain is meant to flower for.

@Heresay, I Googled the flower time n it's between 7-9 weeks. I honestly am not entirely positive how old she is. I didn't find this site until I had already started my grow ( so few pictures or info) so I don't really have an exact answer for that. I would however be curious if the lower areas have pure just white hairs can I cut the stem in half n harvest the top or should I wait completely until all white hairs are red/orange color? I don't really use nutrients much at all but I'be been trying the "flush" thing. Should I hold off on that till a day or 2 before harvest or how exactly should I go about a preharvest ritual?

Hi bro, unfortunately you didn't let them dry at all, it's a mistake you learn from, you'll be even better! The problem is that you have to dry them at least for 7 days in around 55% humidity, I hang them for 6 to 15 days depending on the humidity, 2 days is no way near dry. Only when the outside of your buds is Crunchy and the small branches snap without completely breaking in half you put them in jars. And first 4 days you open your jars for 15 minutes, 2 times a days, then 4 days you open them once a day for 10 minutes, and then just once every two days for few minutes. Good luck bro!

Your plants look very sticky indeed! You're doing a good job. The best thing is to just keep it as simple as possible. Your photos give me the impression that you are maybe 2 weeks from harvest... However, I agree with everything Heresay has been saying about your grow. Get a jeweler's loupe, and start looking up pictures of trichomes as varying stages of maturity (clear, milky, amber). You will want mostly milky trichomes on the buds themselves. That is the only accurate means of determining harvest time. You can't use the pistils as an accurate measure because different strains have different characteristics. They won't always lay down flat to the buds. You also can't use leaf fade for the same reason. Some strains don't show fade at all. If you aren't using nutes then you don't really have to flush.

I’d say leave it until at least 9 weeks and wait until white hairs stop grow Ng. I’ve always found it best to leave the plant to be havrvested all at once. White hairs means the buds are still putting on weight. Flush about a week before harvest and you should be fine. I’d recommend getting a jewellers loupe tho so that you can have a good look at the trichs.
