Seeds arrived today from Weedseedsexpress.com in a groovy thick postcard, cool and discreet. A bit of a delay, but excellent customer service, will use again. We'd decided to try growing these in the corner of the living room with a grow light hanging over them. I was quite anxious, and after about 4 days nudged the soil around to see if the seeds were doing anything. They were!

So happy to see little leaves! Now adding a little Bio Grow, and trying to soften the water with a bit of citric acid - I mean.... I have it in the cupboard to descale the kettle, so fingers crossed. I also put some root enzymes in when potting them. See the pic!

Concern that they are really stretching to the light, lowered it, and went shopping for a grow tent that would fit a small flat. Started some grow nutrients.

The babies are fairly healthy, but we did get a fan to help them strengthen the main stem, they are quite delicate at present. I've also put up a pic of the usb microscope we bought, after going through a few apps, I found MScopes app is working pretty well.

Added the ventilation and carbon filter. We bought a RAM Mixed-Flow Extraction Kit, which had: 1 x RAM Mixed-Flow Inline Fan 1 x BAY6 Carbon Filter 1 x 5m Combi Ducting 3 x Duct Clip with 4" (100mm) spigot/vent size. We used gaffer tape instead of the duct clip, and since it's outside the tent, left the fuzzy outside filter off.

We've put a scrog in the tent, and have been low stress training since they got into the tent. Lots of thoughts for the next grow, They stretched too much at the very beginning, so both are a bit lopsided.

The plants are filling the tent very quickly. There is a real limit to the height, so I'm still LST a bit and hoping to avoid burns. The light can't go any higher, so fingers crossed!

We were worried about the humidity levels this week, and had to find a tiny dehumidifier. Where it would never go below 55 before, now it sits regularly in the 30-40 range, except just after watering. My ventilation has been 15 minutes pre hour, but I'm going to up that to 1/2 hour intervals to try to bring the temperature down. Lots of people helping with my question about when to harvest, consensus says likely about 4 weeks, maybe more. So continuing with the Bio-Bloom for the next couple weeks, and decide then. Also increasing nutrient from 1ml/l to 2ml/l, and watering 1.5 litres every other day.

Grow Questions

Mytheastarted grow question 3 years ago
Looking at people's Auto AK 47, they have harvested by now or in the next 2 weeks. The flowering parts are very plentiful (20 per plant!) but also very sparse, not close to dense bud. Are my flowers developing ok? Should I expect to harvest in 2 weeks and stop nutrients now?

Your plants don't look like they are going to be ready in two weeks to me. closer to 4. maybe longer. there is lots of great advice listed here. I'd also like to add in that the lighting density is really what gives you super dense nugs. Not everyone uses the same lights. so comparing your grow to another is apples n orange on some aspects. Take your time and you'll get there Happy Growing!

The one on the lefts cola's seem to be getting denser, but the one on the right still has small separated buds. Maybe it's just genetics? They are supposed to be the same, but I hear they rarely are. Just started noticing a stronger smell, not super strong though, hopefully it's not just my wishful thinking. I gave them extra water today in order to ensure run off. I also removed the scrog so that I could turn them and reach in better. As for the denser buds, they look denser, but still feel quite light and airy. Will they increase in weight/heft?

Started flushing the plant on the left on Thursday, I'll be looking at more pictures of when to harvest for satvia (sp) dominant plants, but the buds are very opaque with a few scattered ambers, and they look pretty good to me.

Fun week! My high achiever (pun intended) went for harvesting yesterday, but her sister is struggling a bit more. I understand that the auto plants will start to die on their own, but I don't know if that is what is happening or if I have over applied nutrients. The leaves are turning a very yellow green, but the buds have still not fattened up very much.

We found it easy to grow and delish! The two plants seemed to have different genetics, one was ready a couple weeks earlier - the other I harvested, but mostly because it was struggling - turning yellow and curling leaves.
