Second time growing. Last time did organic soil + Flora series nutrients.
Coco/perilite/vermiculite pre-mix.
3 gal pot with 5 gal recirculating flood-drain system. For now, manually watering until plant is larger.
Also 2mL/gal of Ca/Mg
Topped after the 6th main node and removed the bottom two branches. Going with 8 tops.
Also did some light defol.
Going to start LST as soon as branches are long enough.
Started noticing a possible deficiency, over-corrected with some higher ppm water (700ish ppm) that ended up causing a little burn.
Hope it's evened out now.
Thanks for following :)
Still just veg-ing along happily. Starting to stretch and put out some monster leaves.
Trimmed a few lower leaves, waiting another week or two to start tying down.
I'm going to try being a bit more aggressive with it than my last grow, so we'll see how that turns out.
Thanks for following along!
😽
So I did my tie-downs this morning. Also trimmed quite a bit a few days ago.
Some of the new leaves were showing some tip curling so I thought a tox, but then when I backed off the nutrients I started to notice some yellowing. I think it was possibly too much N or P followed by too little Mg. So still working out the kinks there.
Any advice/tips are welcome!
Thinking about switching to flower soon. Probably within a couple weeks.
A Happy Weed-mas to All 😽
Coming along. Last week of veg. just switched to 12/12 flower.
Just adjusting my tie-downs and doing mild trimming.
Set up my flood-to-drain system with a pump and 5-gal reservoir. Watering pretty much daily. Coco definitely dries much faster than I had anticipated (oops).
Had a bit of a N tox but I think we've recovered now.
Let the stretch begin.
First full week of flower. Going smoothly.
Watering daily, flood-drain system is working pretty well now with all the kinks worked out.
She is officially a girl! I was pretty confident it would be female since it is a bag seed from some dispensary weed, but I still had my fingers crossed.
Did a big defol a few days ago, she was getting a little bushy. I'm trying to be a bit more aggressive with my trimming/training this time, both to try to up my yield from my last grow, and to not have such a painfully laborious harvest. We'll see how it turns out.
Thanks for following along! 😽
Still coming along. Starting to see some trichome growth which always excites me!
Having some pesky N-tox problems. I have recently switched to using an Non-organic Ca/Mg meant for hydroponic growing instead of my old stuff that is actually meant for organic soil growing. Since I have switched, all of my previous pH problems ceased to exist. I was having to adjust my pH after as little as 12 hours to get it to the 5.8-6 range, and it was taking WAY more pH up/down that I have previously used. Now, I haven't adjusted the pH of my reservoir in four days! I still flush it every so often to prevent growth, but this is a huge improvement. But the point was that I think I was having pH issues that were affecting N motility in the plants. I think I was noticing a pseudo-deficiency caused by pH issues, and then overfeeding and causing a tox. Hopefully we are now, finally, adjusted.
This is also good because we have some trips coming up, so we will see if my autonomous watering apparatus lives up to its description.
Also just purchased a new RO setup. Should be interesting, definitely saving $$$.
This is the part where I get impatient...
Thanks for following along 😽
