This is my 2nd run. I wanted to start growing earlier this year, as the results of last year were good, but not impressive. Last year I started growing at the very end of May, which might be a bit too late to start growing in Netherlands. If the weather conditions stay optimal and sunny I will be doing 2 runs this year. 1 run (this run) starting from 23 april till the start of July, and one run from the start of July till mid. september. Last year we had a lot of bad weather conditions for optimal growth, even during the summer. 2/7 days a week were rainy and dark. I hope this year (specifficaly during this Auto run) the weather will be better. I have learned a lot from growing last year. This time I invested in fabric pots to see if growing in this will make a difference in plant size. The pots do have good drainage, which might help the soil not get too wet. I will keep track of this diary every week.

After the germination process finished, we started by planting the seeds in a home made mix of medium. We used 60% soil, 30% coco coir and 10% perlite to make a nice, airy grow medium for our plants. The first few day's we kept the plants inside because the temperatures outside were to low (11 - 14 degrees Celsius) and we were afraid that these low temps might damage the plants. Currently the plants are outside as the temps are higher (16 - 18 degrees Celsius.) The plants get about 6 -8 hours of sunlight, as the temps drop down too low in the evening and are still too cold in the morning. I might expiriment with giving the plants 10 hours of sunlight by putting the plants outside a bit earlier in the morning (around 10:00am), as the weather seems to get better every passing day. I hope this won't stunt their growth. Only 2 of the 4 plants are showing signs of life as only 2 seedlings are starting to come out. The 2 seedlings are about 0.8 cm tall. We hope the other 2 plants will follow soon.

Is it a good practice to put my plants outside when its around 8:00 am and keep them outside for 12 hour (10 degrees celcius) or will this damage the plants because it is too cold of a temperature? I do not have enough time to properly put them outside when they should be outside

Hi GREEN_GOD, 10ºC is quite cold for the plants. Anything lower than 15ºC will stun the roots. Bellow 20ºC thy don't work that fast either. There's some tricks to keep temps stable. If you can get some covering greenhouse like, you can use inside it something called heat cables that would heat up the vases and keep the greenhouse warmer. Heat cables have like 50W, the big ones so it's kind of cheap in the long term and cheaper than any heater in the short term. Don't know how well they work as I've never tried on your conditions. Hope this helps. Good luck with your ladies! 👊
