Seedling -
Once the seeds popped out of the soil they grew at an alarming rate went from 0.5mm to 2 cm in a matter of 12 hours. It was decided to transplant them at that point (root stuck out a bit from the plastic pots but did not touch the bottom of the propagator). They were then planted into their final pot. (The hole they were added to was covered in a thin layer of Great White mycorrhizae powder).
Pots - I took it upon myself to create my own 10L Sub-Irrigated planter, which contains Biobizz Light mix, perlite and vermiculite.
So in the second week the grow is moving forward, I was away for two days in the first week so there are photos missing from the last week. Sadly I have noticed some slight orange circles that have appeared on the leaves and the cotyledon leaves have curled inwards. I may have made a mistake of misting the leaves with leaf protect and that may have cause the water droplets to act as a magnifying glass and may have slightly burned the leaves. I’ll give it a couple of days to see if anything changes.
So once again I have missing photos from the first 2 days of the third week. By the looks of it though, the girls are growing strong… though they seem to be a little short, hopefully they grow a little taller before flowering begins. I’ve begun feeding the girls with Fish Mix Fertilizer ( started off with a 1/4 dose, and will gradually increase that dose so
in the fourth week they start getting the full recommended dose.
— the night before V- Day 19, was fed with a stronger dose of Nutes.
It’s the 4th week for my Wedding Cake, and although she isn’t growing so quickly like the other girls, she is definitely not showing any signs of deficiencies. On Day 19 of the vegging, I introduced the girls to the amount of nutes that are recommended in the nute schedule chart and some days have past since then and she seems to like it.
So Wedding cake isn’t really showing too much progress, neither is she showing any weakness. Of all the plants, her progress is on the boring side, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. In the last day of week 4, I defoliated her and she seems to have accepted it quite nicely, no stunt or negatives have shown, but as of writing this, it’s still quite early. Looking forward to when she decides to transition :)
