Germination

Started germinating the seeds, originally I was planning to do some autoflowers (Royal Gorilla auto) for this grow, but after some consideration, ive concluded it would probably be more beneficial to me if I run the photoperiods id like to grow now given the season and environment. Will be back updating once they have popped up. Looking forward to this grow. Hope everybody is doing well out there, happy growing! :)

A bit late update coming in, ive been pretty busy so havent been able to until now. Sadly the germination rate this time around wasnt the greatest, initially only white widow came up after about 5 days, I let it sit in the window while I waited another 5 days to see if the others would come up but no result, around 10th day I decided to break open the soil plugs and have a look at the situation, critical hadnt germinated so I moved onto trying with the paper towel method, just as a last resort but no luck. O.G kush had to my surprise actually sprouted, but for whatever reason it just never came up, after breaking open the soil plug however growth went pretty fast and its been going since. So what im left with is White widow and Og kush, overall im alright with it as those were the most important to me, not sure what went wrong, whether something on my part or just because its older seeds, nonetheless the plants are doing fine and slowly coming along. Hope everybody is doing well, happy growing out there!

Week 2 of vegging, just transplanted white widow as of today, her roots were looking healthy and good, hopefully the transplant isnt too big a shock and she'll resume growing fairly quick now that she's gotten the root space for it. Im planning to top her so og kush can catch a bit up, but I think it would probably make most sense to do that in a few days to not cause too much stress not sure tho but ill figure it out. Other then that I added 25g of RQS easy boost nutes, which generally should last it throughout its growth in terms of vegging, it has served me decent in my other grows minimizing the amount of veg nutrients I actually have to feed during watering, allowing me to just give them mostly plain water until flowering, so im continuing to use it. Not much more to add, theyre coming along. Hope everybody out there is doing well! Happy growing :) - Using bio bizz light mix for this grow in case anybody wondered.

Week 3 of vegging, everything is going fine. Transplanted OG kush about 3 days ago, I was quite tough to it during transplanting, but seems like it didnt bother too much, love its small cute leaves haha. White widow has been growing well, I went ahead and topped her, which she took well to and can tell the side nodes are getting more growth, need to start doing some lst of some sort to help widening the canopy to use more of the grow area, but ill get there. Hope everybody out there is doing well! Happy growing :) Transplanted with: - Biobizz light mix - RQS easy boost nutrients (20g to 5l ratio) White widow is in a 8L fabric container O.G Kush is in a 5.7L plastic container

Week 4 of vegging. Ill switch to flowering around next week so this will be last veg update. Ive done some minor lst this week, besides that just clearing out the canopy letting lower buds get sunlight. Im using these bendy plastic things from RQS to do some of the LST, honestly im not really a fan of them, they dont do much and in a lot of cases just dont fit my plants, like the length between nodes, but for some scenarios I can apply them. Overall everything is going fine, love these first weeks where the growth really gets going. White widow looks a bit hanging on the after pic, its due to being thirsty which has been handled. Hope everybody is doing well. Happy growing! :) Medium: - Biobizz light mix - RQS easy boost nutrients (20g to 5l ratio) White widow is in a 8L fabric container O.G Kush is in a 5.7L plastic container

Week 1 of flowering, no nutes this week cause I was noticing they were getting too much nitrogen, mistake on my part, its sorted now and ill start feeding counting from next week, mostly flowering nutes going forward. Overall things are going well, OG Kush although more robust and compact is catching up a bit, it is of course somewhat limited by its pot size and will be at an disadvantage compared to White Widow in that sense, its coming along tho. Overall they're both doing good and im happy, I could definitely handle the canopy better, but I kinda need a better way to anchor the attachment points for where to tie it down, im trying to think of the best solution and will hopefully have something for next grow to try out. Also as can be seen on the undergrowth picture, I need to do some cleaning of dying leaves, which ill get done this coming week. Hope everybody is doing well, happy growing out there! :) Medium: - Biobizz light mix - RQS easy boost nutrients (20g to 5l ratio) White widow is in a 8L fabric container in the back O.G Kush is in a 5.7L plastic container in the front

Week 2 of flowering. Overall things are going well, still not fully recovered from the excess nitrogen but they're getting there. Started feeding a bit flowering nutes this week. I'm just letting them do their thing mostly, every day im adjusting the light a bit height wise, the white widow is definitely in its stretch. OG Kush is smaller but the bud development is about at same stage as White Widow so all good. Once every week I go in and remove any big leaves that take up real estate from other potential bud sites from the top, as well as spread out the branches more and then also clean out the dying leaves below, nothing too crazy. Hope everybody is doing well, happy growing out there! :) Medium: - Biobizz light mix - RQS easy boost nutrients (20g to 5l ratio) White widow is in a 8L fabric container in the back O.G Kush is in a 5.7L plastic container in the front

Week 3 flower, all good, theyre coming along still stretching but I get a feeling theyre starting to slow down and probably gonna turn more towards bud development. Just been feeding them, minimal removal of leaves to handle canopy. I first noticed this week, but the main stem of OG Kush simply hasnt grown up, at some point it just has halted and stopped bothering with the main stem, kinda interesting given I havent done any topping or anything to it besides some light lst. The OG Kush has surprised me tho with how big its gotten, its about same size as white widow now canopy wise and height, and being in a smaller container id consider that a healthy sign. Hope everybody is doing well out there. Happy growing! :) Medium: - Biobizz light mix - RQS easy boost nutrients (20g to 5l ratio) White widow is in a 8L fabric container in the back O.G Kush is in a 5.7L plastic container in the front

Week 4 flowering, all is going smooth. Trichomes are starting to appear, a little bit of odor increase but not much, generally im just letting them do their thing atm, barely even touching them, just letting the leaves fall off by itself. Its been quite hot here and is continuing to be for a couple days, I feel it was the right decision to go with the photoperiods with the 12/12 time schedule instead of autoflowers for this grow, as it works in my favor since I can have lights off during the worst of the heat and then during nighttime have it running. Hope everybody is doing well out there, happy growing! :) Medium: - Biobizz light mix - RQS easy boost nutrients (20g to 5l ratio) White widow is in a 8L fabric container in the back O.G Kush is in a 5.7L plastic container in the front

Week 5 flowering, all going well overall but I did have one day where humidity peaked after watering, it reached above 70%, like 72%, I was unable to lower it for a while during the night cycle but it had plenty of ventilation as I turned it up, so im hoping that with the fact that they arent really fattened yet and it only was for like some hours that it isnt gonna cause any issues. Last thing I want is fungus cause of humidity. Since then it has remained at ~60% at night/~55% at day, which is fine. Other than that nothing to really note of, they are doing their thing, im just watering and removing leaves as they fall off, White Widow slightly is ahead of OG Kush it seems. Hope everybody is doing well, happy growing out there! :) Medium: - Biobizz light mix - RQS easy boost nutrients (20g to 5l ratio) White widow is in a 8L fabric container in the back O.G Kush is in a 5.7L plastic container in the front

Week 6 flowering. The aroma in the room is increasing, so far its not too intense and im able avoid having to use a carbon filter this far, but I think this upcoming week will be when its gonna be required, id characterize it as a pleaseant earthy/fruity smell. Unlike last week things have calmed down in terms of humidity and im now able to reliably control it again using my fan smart controller. Keeping it at 55% at day time, during night it does increase slightly, but minimal. Other then that the story goes as usual, just doing feeding, watering, and occasionally clean out dead leaves, last time I found a spider setting up shop inside the tent haha. Hope everybody and their plants are doing well, happy growing! :) Medium: - Biobizz light mix - RQS easy boost nutrients (20g to 5l ratio) White widow is in a 8L fabric container in the back O.G Kush is in a 5.7L plastic container in the front

Week 7 flower. All is generally going well and im overall happy with how they are looking. Certainly a treat to grow when things goes smoothly and they look healthy and happy. I have made some mistakes this grow, feeding them too much early on, but its a learning experience always and I want to try different ratios every grow to sort of get a sense of where the sweet spot is, ill take those mistakes and build on them for my next grow. The aroma in the tent has definitely increased last weeks time. White widow buds are starting to take on some size, also seeing some signs of foxtailing, but its fine I suppose, working with a limited space so I'm doing what I can with removing the heat but yeah. Thinking one or two more weeks till flushing, we'll see tho. Week 8 flower, update coming in a day early cause my schedule but yeah flushing has begun. Im running into some issues with the weather and heat waves, but ultimately glad I choose photoperiod over autoflower cause damn the temperatures, its been hitting up to 33c inside the tent room and thats when the sun is gone! lol, im having issues removing the heat properly so foxtails are definitely showing. Besides that I came in today to find one of the white widow budsites tipping over from its own weight, a good sign nonetheless. I strapped it up to one of the corners and hopefully itll be fine for a couple days. I would like to wait 1-1.5 weeks more to harvest, but I am thinking about cutting it a bit short just cause of the current weather and the stress its putting on the plants. But ill see how it goes. Hope everybody is doing well, happy growing! :) Medium: - Biobizz light mix - RQS easy boost nutrients (20g to 5l ratio) White widow is in a 8L fabric container in the back O.G Kush is in a 5.7L plastic container in the front

Ive gone ahead and put the plants up for drying, I wouldve liked to keep them going for a bit longer, but the weather situation as well as every bud site on White Widow started to fall over from their weight, I didnt really want to bother tying every single one up and generally didnt really feel comfortable with the humidity situation and big buds so yeah. They look amazing and im super stoked to see how itll turn out. Ill be back in a couple weeks with a final update as well as the weight. Its been nice to grow some photoperiods and seeing how they are in the tent, manageable but id say autoflowers are to be preferred with the setup. Nonetheless, I plan to grow some photoperiods next summer again. On another note Ive started a new diary for my next grow 3xRoyal Gorilla Automatic 1xGreat White Shark Automatic, ive started germinating them and they should be up in a little weeks time. Hope everybody out there is doing well, happy growing! :)

Overall the OG Kush stayed a bit smaller than the white widow but it surprised me how much it managed to catch up. Its an easy strain to grow, and smells amazing, the buds have an intense sweet flavor. It gets me high, wish the yield was a bit bigger but overall cant really complain.

The white widow grew like a dream, it took well to the topping and the lst I did. I did do some mistakes on the feeding of it, giving too much nutrients early on but it took well to it and around a week later it was going strong again. The buds grew surprisingly large, every budsite was falling over by the time I harvested, quite a pain during the harvest really haha, but it was rewarding, definitely a strain id consider for another time. Like the OG Kush the white widow is also largely covered in trichomes, really happy with the outcome, it be glistening.
