Day 2 ok we are well beyond day 2 but I like starting my journals on Sundays and when I decide to start these diaries. They will start as my day 1 or whatever. Anyways everyone is outside with the tent going 12/12 and my nieces were kind enough to help plant them and give each plant a name. So I’m happy to introduce “BLUEY”
Day 11 so half are looking amazing and the other half a little burnt. Hoping things will clear up, much like my indoor Obi-Wan went through. So for those wondering, they are red clovers growing in the containers. Been said to be a natural pest repellent for certain bugs. I’m also probably heading out this afternoon for another garbage can and will be adding my Northern Lights clone to the gang outside. Gotta get her out soon cause she is in the tent at 12/12 and looks close to flowering.
Day 19 and damn the squirrels who are digging into my soil of my plant. Thankfully my 2 giant “squirrels” have kept their faces out since they were planted. So good stretch on all but especially Zombie, Cindy, and G. Zkittlez. So hopefully next week I will have 6-8 good nodes on everyone and then off with their heads. Give it some times and I can hopefully start training out them limbs
Day 27 boy was it windy today but the stocks are gonna be stronger because of it. Big stretch on some of them in 2 days and I think it’s because my neighbours trees takes away 2-3 of late hour light for everyone. Still I’m happy with everyone’s size, only 3 more need to be topped and Northern Lights is really taking off. Hopefully in 7-10 days, those limbs will be big enough to pull back for training. They’re coming along and growing much healthier then last years outdoor attempts.
Day 31 and we got some heat heading our way today and tomorrow, but no oppressive heat wave like down south right now. So the plants got a real good watering today and probably get another drink tomorrow. Everyone but Blue Cheese has been topped and I think that will be topped probably in another 2 days. N. Lights, C9l, and S. Zombie are my star pupils right now. Hopefully with the weather and watering today, the side limbs will start explode ing growth wise. Then I can bring out the old trusty green foam wiring and really get some training done soon.
Day 39 and training is going well. As usual the standout are SZ and C99 with continuous consistent growth. Some are long enough for more green wiring training to the pot rims and possibly topped one more time. N. Lights did sadly go into a reveg mode and I guess didn’t get her out of the tent in time to avoid. Also snapped a limb mid way up on my G. Zkittlez but staying healthy looking and was bandaged up yesterday. Lots of a Indica plants means lots of big ass fan leaves. So I’ve removed a few from almost everyone now for better light penetration for newer limb growth, and probably not done for the week. Besides that, all seems to be going well enough that I’m not panicking over anything, even after that snapped limb because my Mango Sapphire last year did the same thing and still lived.
Day 45 and I’m going full out on training. Gave NL a good trim and might not be done, as her reveg was more then I thought. I also ripped off the top of a good limb on Blue Cheese as she had 4-5 leaves all webbed up with spider inside. Thought I only had the leaf but that proved to be wrong. SZ and C99 are just growing like crazy. Most main limbs were topped this week and I expect upward growth from here on. The other 3 also got some good defoliation/training but some hoppers are really chewing up BDxAK. So might try to treat them with something soon to keep them at bay. So far I’m still happier then how last year’s grow went. Happy Fucking BDay Me! (The Big 4-Oh I hurt)
Day 54 and still going well outside. Starting to trim up the limbs by removing the little inner growths on the really low limbs, and trimming up the top main new growths of any new growth. Cinderella 99 and especially Sweet Zombie are the stars with their tops stretching real good daily. Some Japanese Beetles have been seen on Blue Cheese and G. Zkittlez and will need to be searched for everyday. They are terrible on our raspberry plants outside.
Day 57 WOWZERS! Last night the family went out and watered the garden and I decided to do a cap full of my liquid seaweed/fish shit for everyone outside and they responded nicely. My limbs even seem thicker/stronger and the stretch some put on from yesterday is pretty stunning in person. Think I’m gonna try to give them the same stuff once a week or two. Already feel the lose of light happening already at night, but that can only mean flowering soon.
Day 67 oh folks, pray for my grow. I have a pretty fucking bad case of spider mites attacking mostly Blue Cheese, Cinderella 99, Northern Lights and Sweet Zombie. So yesterday I did a soap and water treatment on the 4 plants, some burnt tips but overall ok. Still look like they were being eating and so I dosed everyone in 1/9 alcohol/water treatment tonight before sundown. Then I went ahead and played safe then sorry and did the other 3 gals as well. Also have no doubt by the end of next week, they’ll be throwing out some pistils
Day 71 after a few days of water/dish soap and water/garlic treatment for treating my spider mite issue. I decided to once again dust them with DE from top to bottom. Doing my Lebrun with my hands and powder tossing upwards. I removed a tons of fan leaves from almost everyone but mostly bare now on Sweet Zombie and C99, but they have it the worse. (Blue Cheese not far behind) They seem to be looking a little healthier and will maybe try another spray treatment of some sort in a couple of days. Also seems like flowering will be starting real soon with the way they’re stacking now, and a couple white pistils here and there on Blue Cheese.
Day 73 Some sad news to share, I have sadly lost my furry friend Buddy to cancer after almost 11 years of memories. I was able to say my goodbyes and see him off to that rainbow bridge. He was a very good boy 😢
Day 86 I’m back after taking some me time after losing Buddy. Hard to believe it’s been 2 weeks, but I do have some good news as Fozzie Bear will be getting a baby brother in November. He’s a little lost without his friend, and so a friend he/we shall get.
As for the grow, it has transitioned over to flowering mode now. Still dealing with spider mites on everyone and so I bought a spray last week and did everyone. It seem to help, and will try to give them a 2nd spraying I think tomorrow if the rain holds off. Blue cheese, C99, N. Lights and Sweet Zombie seem to have it the worse. At least they are stacking nicely, but so far not much stretching is happening on anyone. Let’s see how the next couple weeks changes that.
