Gotta watch out for insects and mildew. I got these preventive sprays that are good until flowering. But after that it might prove a challenge.
Last week the plants really came through. Makes me confident they will get through this summer.
The week is supposed to be very hot. I'll move them to the shadow on especially heavy days. So far they seem to love it though.
Saturday:
I thought the preflowers would be just that. As it turns out it is flowering fully now, both of them are ready for it and I will change the nutrition.
I'll keep giving some bio-grow, seen as the plants stretch and I hope they'll stretch a lot.
Going alright. Been keeping them out of the rain.
Plants look clean, saw some insect markings. I live on a boat so I've been expecting this kind of trouble. But nonetheless these plants keep going strong.
Tuesday.
Leaf discoloration setting in. Brown spots here and there. Will try some pH balancing.
Friday.
Discoloration has been brought to a halt when I upped the nutrition. These autos work fast and I expect they will need 2-4 more weeks of time to fatten and ripen.
I'm happy the plants are doing so well. They don't require a lot of attention. The weather is doing them good.
The solomatic is foxtailing quite a bit though. I'm confident it's the genetics. I read she can be tough to grow. You're welcome to comment if you have thoughts on this.
Even more sunny days coming this week. Looking forward to it. Plants seem to love it here.
Checking the thickness of the buds, browning of the stems and the development of the trichomes I'd say I'm just about two weeks away from harvest.
Monday
Gorilla auto is doing very well except for some insects on the plants. I did anticipate this, living on a houseboat and all, lot's of bugs. I'm happy to say there's no mildew or rot anywhere. The pistils are all brown now and the trichomes are becoming less see-through by the day.
Solomatic is doing a little less swell. Apart from the heavy foxtailing, the insect infestation is heavier on her, removed all I could find, but you know there's more. It'll be fine after the budwashing in the end I'm confident.
Friday
This week I've stopped adding nutrients to the water. They're getting close now, especially the gorilla one. Can't say she became a big girl but is looking very dank. The garden has become a nice peppered cheese palace.
Thinking to harvest the Gorilla this very week.
Solomatic, however, is still growing seedsack on seedsack and pushing out pistils by the dozen in the sidebranches and lower mainstem. The trichomes are still clear in a lot of places. Gonna practice patience on that one some longer.
Preparing the drying room for residency today.
Fun and easy but foxtailing heavily. Factors aplenty but who am I kidding what do I know.
Lovely plant. Will try indoors next. Curious about the difference.
