I ordered some stuff with RQS and I got a free seed (AK420 Autoflower). I already harvested an outdoor grow (Auto Duck en Northern Light Auto) last week, but I'll try my luck and start a new outdoor grow.
Starting a new outdoor grow in august in Belgium is rather risky. The odds are against me but till now it has been an amazing summer so maybe we'll get an indian summer too.
I used a wet coffee filter to germinate and succeeded in less than 24 hour. I planted the seed in a pot with 'normal' outdoor pot plan soil, and mixed this with RQS Easy Boost. I used the same combo for my Autoduck and Northern Light and got very healthy plants.
Picture of the seedling is taken on august 3th in less than 72hours after putting the seed in a wet coffee filter. We"ll have very nice weather (27°C and sunny) and it will stay that way during the next two weeks so I expect a fast vegative growth.
I've been abroud last week and Belgium suffered from a heat waves with temperatures around 35°C. I'm glad my AK420 survived. She'll get more love from now on.
No problems so far.
Weather is still nice, a bit cloudy sometimes, but still 23 a 25°C and little to no rain in the upcoming week. I don't give exra nutrients, just the RQS Easy Boost tablets I started this grow with. Maybe I'll add PK13/14 during flowering in a couple of weeks.
Nice grow so far.
A few spots on the lowest leaves, but it's an outdoor grow so noting to worry about. Still very nice weather here in Belgium between 25 and 28°C.
Really bad weather these last days. Had to put my plant under a shed. Luckily, next week will be less rainy and more sunshine. I defoliated and removed the lowest buds.
Cold and rainy last week, had to put her under the shed a lot.
She's strong though.
Next week will be rather sunny. Still a race against the clock to get her finished before it get's too cold. I gave her two doses of Terra Bloom last week.
Mild temperatures with sunny days, sometimes also rainy days.
Buds are small but starting to get frosty. She won't be a big yielder, but for a late outdoor grow in Belgium, she's doing better than expected. For an optimal harrvesr, she needs at least 3 more weeks. I don't think that's possible but as long as temperarures remain mild, I hope to get 15 a 20 grams.
She's still going steady. AK420 is a strong plant. Buds are rather small but smell very nice and look more and more frosty. Last three weeks I gave her 2,5ml/l Plagron Terra Bloom once in 4 or 5 days. I defoliated a little so the autumn sun can penetrate into the plant. Weather is still nice, a little Belgian Indian summer next week with temperatures between 17 and 20°C and little to no rain. A bit of a rarety for the end of october..
I noticed some starting budrot this morning so decided to took her down.
I cut away 3 or 4 little budrot spots , the rest of the buds seem unaffected. I estimate I'll have around 15-20gr of dried flower. For a late outdoor grow in Belgium that's pretty amazing. I was lucky october was sunny. I will definetly grow AK420 next year but than in full summer. She's a strong lady. I had a least 10 days with night temperatures aound 5°C and she didn't budge. In 3 or 4 weeks I'll post pictures of the cured buds. Cya later!
