High Djs62,
The first thing you will notice are white hairs (pistils) growing where the buds will grow.
If you want to see pictures from the first signs of cannabis I do have a great article from the growweedeasy website. This article will show you every step from the first stages of flowering with pictures and explanations about everything you need to know.
Here is the link:

Happy Growing! 😋
YESSS!!! 😋
If you want to know how long they take to flower then look up the strain information and flowering time on the breeders website. And usually need to add around 2 weeks extra. Probably around 8 weeks in total from now! 😋
Happy Flowering! 😋
Get some sort of magnifying tool and focus on only trichome heads. They look like a drop of water on top of a spike.
If all of them are at least cloudy/milky, the plant is ready to harvest. But! That doesn't necessarily mean the buds will give you the desired effect that you're looking for.
If you like the couch-lock side of smoking, let around 40%-50% of the cloudy trichome heads turn amber before you harvest.
If you like the cerebral side of smoking, you want to let your trichome ratio to be more on the cloudy side with about 80%-90% being cloudy and the rest amber.
I hope this helps.
Ah! Another non-weed-smoker! Happy to make your acquaintance! I grow only because I like growing things and weed is particularly challenging!
What you are seeing are little kind of bubbles called trichomes.. they are the thing that gives the smokers their high... in them reside all the THC and they are literally the GOLD of weed. They're also very important too watch as the plant matures. First of all, you'll need to see the pistils (the little white hairs) start to turn brown... Then, you'll need to get a jeweler's loupe to get a real close look at the "trichs" - or failing that, just take as close a picture of them as you can and then zoom in on that photo... you'll be able to see their structure. They'll look a little bit like mushrooms and the color of the round part on top is the key thing to look at. At first, they won't have any color and will essentially be clear. Later on, they'll start turning a milky white - and then a little while later, some of those milky white ones will start turning amber... THIS is the time you want to harvest your plant...
You've got a ways to go yet but you're doing a magnificent job!
Good luck!!
They're not there yet. It's common to take a bit longer outdoors especially if you don't have a lot of sun and good weather. Could still take anywhere from 2-5 weeks. You shouldn't have white pistils and the trichomes in the bud, not the leaves should be mostly milky with some amber.
Zero days/no flush...........some peolpe don't believe in it and never do it anyhow.
I am a fan though,,,,,,,,,,,3 days would be an absolute minimum, - a week better.......but in an emergency.......chop and save your harvest rather than leaving it in the rain and risking losing some to mould/rot.
By the way I don’t smoke cigarettes or weed . But I like growing stuff . I also grow grapes which I make rose wine with 30 bottles each year and a miniature pear tree a satsuma bush which has flowers for first time in 2 years . I have black grapes green grapes and have planted a yellow grape . Oh and an apple tree but the pigeons scoff them .
