I germinated these with the paper towel method. It's easier to keep track of which seed is which when germinating multiple seeds.
I misted the towel with Canna Rhizotonic 4ml/l @ph5.8 and covered with cellophane and put it in airing cupboard where it's warm and dark.
Within 24hrs the seed casing had popped. I planted the seed in 5 gallon smart pots with a Canna Coco Pro Plus with Perlite mix that had be pre-soaked with Canna Coco a&b and Rhizotonic.
After another 24hrs the Blackberry seedling had sprouted. I began feeding once the first true leaves had formed.
Watering every other day or as needed. Small amount around the plant in ever increasing circles. I'll water to run off once the plants are around 2-3 weeks.
The plants seems to be hungry so I've increased the amount in feeding by a fraction. They were looking too lime green for my liking.
Started the LST best the end of the 3rd week now that she's growing vigorously. All 3 Fast Buds strains are growing at similar rates.
The Afghan Kush may have the edge slightly with a very thick main stem that was very hard to manipulate.
Started LST at the beginning of the week and trained branches each day as they grew. I also defoliated a little bit didn't want to stress them to much as they were recovering from the mishap with the feeding.
Towards the mid week pre-flowers were showing.
At the beginning of the week she was showing more signs of flowering and starting to stretch.
I moved her along with the others into the flowering room. The main cola shot up so much I supercropped her and some side branches. This barely slowed her down! She's started to take on more water now I've noticed.
Starting to form flowering sites all over and even started frosting up already.
Pruned a couple of leaves every few days to expose flowering sites. Also proceeded with a bit of LST to try and open the canopy up.
Increased feed and light intensity. She also benefited from CO2 for about 4-5 days but unfortunately I had to send the regulator back as it leaked.
I've never used CO2 before but it certainly impressed me. So much so that I'm going to get a replacement reg and controller and deal with the hassle of bottles. I'll only use it for the first few weeks of flower to set the flowers.
Flowers have set and now are starting to increase in length. Lots of frost is present and purple hues are becoming apparent at all the bud sites. She's going to be very pretty girl! 😍
She's smelling strong with an aroma of berries. The buds are beautiful, lovely structure and colour. They certainly look like blackberries, definetly a worthy name.
Not excessively frosty but may frost up some more in the last days with a bit of hydric stress.
She won't be a great yielders as she's such a small plant. Next time I'll plant up to x4 density to compensate.
Buds are fattening up and appear to be becoming frostier. The colas seem to grown a little taller too.
She can't be far off harvest, although the trichomes are saying different with very few amber, mainly cloudy and clear.
