Beans planted 2/1/23, sprouted 2/5/23. First grow in coco to attempt to avoid overwatering and try something different.

Nothin crazy. First set of true leaves. Seem to be getting along nicely. I'm starting to get adjusted to watering coco as opposed to soil. I find the difference pretty interesting. Looking forward to see how this grow goes with a new medium but utilizing organic dry amendments. Planning to do a couple of teas throughout the grow to boost microbial life from the worm castings I pre-amended the coco with. I did forget the mycorrhizae though. Although I don't think it will make a huge difference if enough N is present.

It amazes me how slow and how fast growth can be at the same time 😅. Girls are looking fine. Two in the back seem to be unhappy with the current air flow situation so I moved one of my circulation fans so that hopefully they won't be getting nearly as much wind as they were. On to another week!

Well.... Finally some quick growth! Happy to see em sprout up a bit. Did some light LST to help expose a few lower sites. Got some light burn on a couple of them so I ratcheted the light up quite a bit (around 30 inches). They seem fine with it. Moving the fans paid off, girls in back seem happier. Unfortunately found some fungus gnats upon watering one morning...So currently combatting the insectoid menace. After first dose of BTI, haven't seen anymore. Just hoping it got the eggs too!

Wow. Super impressed. Hit pre-flower stretch and man did they STRETCH! And they're still goin! I'm hoping my LST keeps them in check a bit because otherwise I may run out of room here. Gonna try my best to keep them low and even. LOTS of top-sites exposed. Super happy with my LST this time around. Starting to smell a bit as the wife has constantly reminded me the last couple days because I had the exhaust fan off to keep humidity up a bit. Some light defoliation to expose budsite but more leaf tucking than anything. Had some damage from the fungus gnats I believe. Given some molasses and epsom salt in a watering to be sure it's not calcium/magnesium/iron deficiency and some hydrogen peroxide to ensure gnat eggs stay down as I've not seen them since initial treatments. Will update next week. Thanks for stopping by!

LST continued but these girls outgrew my ability to control their height. May employ trellis netting. Very impressed with the vigorous growth. Bud structure looks different on all 4 but that's what you get with most autos even of the same strain, it's a mix bag, no complaints. They are continually drinking more and more. 1.5 liter per plant WAS enough for 2 days roughly before pot was light. Now it does not seem to be (hence drooping leaves as this is second day). So going to adjust to daily waterings from here on out. One seems to be a bit further than the others judging by pistils and already starting buds. Hoping to be able to prolong all of them to same harvest time. Top dressed for first and last time until harvest. Thanks for stopping by!

Whelp it's getting tight in there. Hoping I can limp it across the finish line with some grace. Plants seem happy. Well, maybe not being messed with this early in the morning after waking up but they'll get over it 😅. Bud structure looks good. Got some nute burn goin on but not too worried atm because these girls look like they're getting ready to pack on some weight. Thinkin they'll need those nutes that are causing them some damage atm here in the coming weeks.

Whelp I wombo combo'd these ladies. Dropped the lights a bit as they seemed like they wanted more. I also realize least I top dressed I top dressed according to gaia greens old schedule (4 tbsp/gallon) and should have don 3 tbsp per gallon. So they're a little toasted. Nothing unsavable I don't think. Got 3 different phenos in here. One is super lanky and tall, lots of side colas. One is super lanky and tall slightly better bud structure. Not sold on these two yet but they resemble a more indica structure. The other 2 are a little shorter and already packing on mass. They look much further than the others but all the same age. Hoping they all finish at the same time. Definately noticing some good smells now. Very fruity tones. Aptly named.

Still roasty! 😂 I figured out that because my humidity was so low (28-35%) the girls have been constantly drawing up water and....nutrients! Hence the burn. Still gonna produce but they do look rough. One of the indica dominant phenos has been getting SUPER frosty. The other not so much but has been packing on more weight. The other 2 with a more balanced bud structure seem like they will give a good yield. Solid, dense buds and large to boot. Still just kinda on cruise control, I'm thinking another 25 days or so but time will tell. Thanks for swinging by!

Little more than a week, got pretty busy with the nice weather we had. Germinated 2 chocolate mint OG's from humboldt. One failed to launch. Germed another but it'll be about a week behind the first, if it sprouts. Despite the high VPD and nute burn from it, these girls are pulling through with some dignity. Some nice purples coming in. Had a lot of fan leaves drained of nutes so I made a tea for em. I think they sucked a lot of the nutes up early because of the VPD issue. Hoping to harvest on the 25th. But that oddball doesn't seem like it'll be even close. It vegged/stretched for an extra 2-3 weeks in comparison to the others. So I suspect that is how much longer it will take to finish. Think I'm done with F1 autos for a while. The different phenos and grow/flower times are a tad infuriating. Will probably be rocking meph for a while from here on out.

They smell great. Not a hard grow, but not stabilized genetics. 4 different phenos all with differing flowering times. Make it tough when you use your grow tent as a dry tent to contain smell. Had to buy another tent just to dry the ones that were finished instead of risking them herming. 5.8 oz dried and trimmed bud. Didn't weigh larf/trimmings but will be dry sifting it for the press.
