We removed the Holy Grail Kush that did not root.
We moved the plants to a drain to waste table.
We did one topping per plant.
We began the LST by tying the plants down and adding string to support the stock.
Dry week in CO, added water trys to increase the humidity in the room.
We took 3 toppings from each plant.
We continued the LST. Each plant has been tied down in 4-5 places.
We had heavy rain all week in CO, We did not need additional humidity.
We increased the feeding.
We did not do anymore topping.
We continued the LST.
Main focus of this week was our first harvest. We got 7.3 oz from 2 Tahoes and 2 Holy Grails!
This week we transplanted into 10 gallon smart pots.
We used Great White Granular during the Transplant.
We used the same medium ration for our soiless mix. 60% Coco 20% perlite 20% Expanded Clay Pebbles.
The plats were moved into the flower room. They are under 475w Hid MH lights.
We added a scrog and weaved the plant into them.
We turned the light up to 600w.
We did two watering's this week. This first watering had full nutrients at 1000 ppm and 5.6 ph. The second water we only used ph balanced tap water. it was at 5.5 ph and 171 ppm.
We are realizing the stretch is getting out of control and are looking for solutions. We think getting a larger hood might help the issues. The distance between the light and plant canopy is to far but we need the light distribution.
We did not give nutrients this week.
Only one watering this week.
Towards the end of the week the holy grail started coming up through the top scrog.
The Stretch on these plants has us worried. We only have about 10 in left in space we can raise the lights. They have already surpassed the size of our last harvest by a decent margin.
We have had a lot of rain this week and have had the humidifier turned off.
The plants have taken a liking to to the new hood.
The bud sites are just starting to crown.
First signs of aroma coming from the plant. (slight skunk smell)
The buds are starting to bulk up fast.
We are noticing the tricomes starting to form on the TAOG.
We lollipopped up to the bottom scrog, we removed about 18 in of plant material.
The buds have harden and are firming up nice. It looks like we will have our first Kola.
We had two branches break off due to clumsy dog .
Another hot dry week. we have had the humidifier running 100% and can't get the room above 53%.
All plants are showing yellowing.
We defoliated about 90% of the fan leaves. We left the fan leaves that were cover in tricomes on the plant.
By day 63 the Tricomes are 50/50% clear to cloudy.
We have had to tie up 27 branches to the ceiling to keep them from falling over. (We need to get bamboo branches)
Day 65 90/10% cloudy to clear. Last water
Day 66 15/85% Amber to cloudy
Day 67 25/75% Amber to cloudy
Day 68 40/60% Amber to cloudy
Day 69 24 hrs dark
Day 70 Harvest
The Tahoe Alien OG was the better genetics of the two. It was easy to control the height of the plant. it required more trimming than the HGK. The Holy Grail Kush was a more difficult plant due to the stretch. It almost doubled in size over the course of 20 days. It has a complicated flavor pallet but the citrus stands out
