My very first Grow Diaries!
For my first crop, I planted 3 seeds from Sensi Seed -> Skunk Dream CBD.
I'm using automatic watering, the autopot system, with a 40/40/10 mix (Coco coir/Perlite/Worm casting).
I didn't document the first 2 weeks of vegetative growth, but there was nothing special apart from daily watering (500mL with 1mL/L Hesi Root Complex) under an 18/6 light cycle.
Germination was very rapid, with a 100% success rate.
A test of a variety donated by a friend is underway in the DWC system, but it does not interest us.
Fast forward to the middle of week 2. The growth in coco is incredibly impressive and fast!
Transplanting of two plants into their final 8.5L pots of the autopot system.
The clay pebbles were soaked at pH 5.5 for 24 hours.
The root filter at the bottom, followed by a layer of pebbles (2.5cm).
One of the plants will have the airdome -> CBD3.
The other will not have it -> CBD4.
The last one is waiting for the order to arrive and will be -> CBD5.
During the transplanting, added mycorrhizal fungi from RootMax.
Watering with 2L of the same mix as usual.
This time I'm using 1000mL for each watering. CBD 5 was transplanted into its final 8.5L container using the airdome and airplate.
I topped CBD 3 and CBD 4.
First day of the 4th week.
The autopot system was initiated for CBD3 and CBD4, as their roots reached the bottom of the pot.
The reservoir was prepared and adjusted to a pH of 5.8.
Now, the plants take control of their water needs.
CBD5 will be submerged in water the following day, C22.
The air pump operates on the light cycle (18 hours on, 6 hours off).
A magnesium deficiency was detected. Several sprays with Epsom salt were applied.
3.5 grams per 1 liter.
First day of the 12/12. A new reservoir was prepared on the first day. The pH started at 5.53 (20.9°C).
After 2 hours of agitation and oxygenation, it settled at 5.68 (21.1°C), which is perfect for coco. So, I didn't make any adjustments.
I pruned and defoliated the plants at F4. They bounced back without any stress. They grow vigorously and they are beautiful.
A brief update on the 2nd week of flowering.
Change of lamp to Hellion 250W VS3 LED. Set to 100% Veg, 30% Bloom and 100% UV.
Monday, new tank in preparation, 20L of osmosis water and still following the HESI program.
Set to 0.45EC with Canna's Cal Mag and then added fertilizers. 100mL Coco, 4 drops supervit and 40mL enzyme.
I let it bubble for 24 hours, and the pH afterwards was 5.55, so I didn't adjust it, knowing that it's sufficient for coco.
The pH rose during the week to 6.30 and was corrected to 5.8.
Apart from that, I did some defoliation, removing all the leaves below the canopy and all the lateral branches that were too low.
The girls are doing superbly and the stretch is going wonderfully well, being well controlled.
What a week!
A strectch that never ends!
A major foliation was carried out at the end of the week, but unfortunately I didn't have much time to look after the girls.
Fortunately, the Autopot system was there to take care of the watering.
The strectch is so strong that the plants have come dangerously close to the lamp.
I had to increase the height to the maximum with zipties.
As usual, I prepared the tank on Monday and changed the solution on Tuesday.
What can I say, these plants are monsters, even though I defoliated them at the beginning of the 4th week. I still have so many leaves coming back.
The girls are super healthy, nothing more to say.
The lamp is now mounted on the ceiling of the tent, I hope they won't keep growing towards it.
The buds are forming well, and I've got a double bud growing on CBD4.
The program changes a little this week for the tank.
BOOST from HESI and PK added, still following the COCO program.
