Glass of water for 24hrs then paper towel method for another 24hrs until taproot is about a quarter inch. Started in solo cup then transferred into 5 gal mesh pot when a few inches tall.

no.. leaves power growth. Ripening is growth, too. Light hitting plant mass with 1/100th to 1/1000th the aerial density of chlorophyl is not as good as light hitting leaves. ATP powers the plant.. ATP is the prodcut of photosynthesis.
What you mention is a parallel to the characters in "Idiocracy" trying to explain why they water with Brawndo... "it's got electrolytes..." lol. People that don't know any better but incredibly confident about their baseless conclusion and circular logic pulled from the ether.

So I know people defoliate the fan leafβs 20 days in flower and about 40 days. I have found just removing the fans blocking light from bud colas works Iβm still not sold that the buds need light to grow, tons of non pot plants grow and flower or fruits on lower parts of plants
