I started 2 seeds about 4 days apart. The first germinated on 12/12/2023 on paper towel. Then into coco coir. My second seed was germinated in a cup of water, then planted directly into my rapid-rooter. Then into 6 inch net cup

After 7 days in DWC, my reservoir nutrient water is going up 15-20 PPM daily. Any ideas as to what may cause this?

If your not topping up the reservoir with more water to keep it at the same level then it will get concentrated. Thus ppm will go up Eg, in a very basic unrealistic easy to understand scenario, you start with 10% feed in 10L, over the course of 5 days the plants eat 2% of the feed and water evaporates/gets used up by plants at a rate of 50% Now the feed left in the solution is at 18% 10%-2%=8% But the water is half the volume from original 10L, 5L goes into 10L twice 8%*2=16% In short, add in water as its getting used. Or change the amount of feed your adding in for the needs of the plants. Good Luck!

Please pull down the lamp, 30cm above the seedlings. They need more light! Happy growing!
FraFra__frankenstoner_Two_days_in_a_day
@ankh5,No problem my friend. Since the the plants and the light belong to you, it is up to you to decide. In my opinion, a (LED) lamp with 150 watts must be near the seedlings, to have proper light on the leafs, because the leafs are very tiny. Happy growing!

@@FraFra__frankenstoner_Two_days_in_a_day, Hope you're having a great holiday! I realize I am wasting light/photons on the walls and elsewhere, but I assure you. My plants are getting more than enough light at this moment. Especially since they are on a 19 hour schedule. I also have other house plants in the room that soak up some of those stray photons that splash out of the tent. I'm kind of a light nerd. I built the main light about 5-4 years ago using an HLG Quantum QB324 V2. It has a 150 watt meanwell driver attached. I am also supplementing with a garbage 100 watt Lefreshensoft kit that includes some IR spectrum and Samsung LM301B diodes. I appreciate your concern. For now I'm going to follow the science as I have researched it and believe it. I'm literarily counting the photons touching the top of my plant daily. If I see issues, I will adjust.

@ankh5,it is still not enough light. Maybe your mesurement is a bit off. Then shoot for 400 ppfd on your phone. Either the lamp goes down, or the plants have to go up. It is totally up to you. ( If your lights are dimmed down, let it dimmed for a while. ) FraFra Your light might be intense to your eyes, but i see you light the wall, a box, and everything else but the leafs, which need the light.😲
