Planted one seed into a 3” pot with soil mix and another seed into a spun glass cube. Both sprouted but the glass cube seed died shortly after transplanting into the EarthBox soil. The larger stronger seedling in the 3” plastic pot transplanted well and I tried to not disturb the pot soil any when transplanting. As soon as the EarthBox soil got wet again the fungus gnat eggs must have sensed the moisture, hatched and stated multiplying fast. I bought sticky traps and then purchased a 16 ounce bag of “Mosquito Bits” to apply to the soil surface when watering for three weeks.
Getting bigger and now some top nodes showing bracts for branches. Still battling fungus gnats. One more application of Mosquito Bits should get rid of them. Plant is becoming more stocky. I am still using my lower power FRGrow LED500 light. This week it was in the single digits outside and the furnace running all the time has dried out the house.
Made 4 th application of Mosquito Bits yesterday (1/23/24) and added two new sticky traps and very few fungus gnats are noticeable now. Hopefully they will be eradicated by the end of this week.
This plant is very bushy and stocky. It has very broad fan leaves. Nice dark green color. Starting branches at all its nodes. Early signs of flowering.

Second week of flowering. Many side buds forming now. Plant looks very healthy, stocky stem, nice uniform dark green leaves. I fertilized with Gaia Power bloom last week once first sign of flowering appeared. I top watered twice since and just today at week 7 set up my auto watering feed pump to discharge the hose directly into the EarthBox bottom reservoir watering tube.
It has been 12 weeks now and harvest time looks close. Started to flush the soil today and top watered with 3 gallons of ph adjusted water ( between (6.3 and 7.0) running overflow down drain.
Thinking of flushing another week before harvesting top half of plant?
