Well, this is not my first grow, as always I use homemade organic soil made of:
-2/3 of Compost soil from kitchen and garden wastes
(2 years old now, well decomposed with leaves, grass, small branches etc... )
1/3
-Wastes of Coffee machines collected in restaurants
-woodchips
-horse manure
-goat manure
-grinded eggshells
-wood ash
The only extra nutrients come from diluated urine at 5%, then 10% and later 15% during the last stage of veg.
Waterring about 1.5l per week.
Also added a mixture of compost, coffee waste and eggshells to compense lower soil level and fill the top of the pot. Roots are starting to reach the bottom of the pot.
This is a true living soil, I have a lot of worms in the soil and it seems to be very healthy. And still 100% organic. No nutrients exept diluated urine. Between 5 to 10%
Starting LST on this plant.
A bit too late I think.
Branches are still very easy to bend, so i use strings to improve the light exposition, secondary buds are starting to grow well.
Still usine 1.5L of waterring, 1 or 2 times a week , based on pot wheight
The plant appreciate the LST method, for sure.
I'm still wattering with 10% diluated urine as fertilizer, it works well. The main branche of the plant is really, really large compared to the size of the whole plant.
The plant is still very healthy.
Another lightbulb is added, total power 72 watts. I'm still using diluated urine at 10/15% for wattering, and I also prepared a bottle of banana peel tea to provide potassium during the flowering stage. Two grinded banana peels for 1.5 L of water, with a few teaspoon of ginger yeast , made earlier in a jar with sugar, water and ginger.
I'm not sure about what is happening in this bottle but it seems to accelerate the process of peels turning into liquid
fertilizer.
Beyond that, I also started and Orion F1 and a Haze Berry auto, as I plan to cut the Creamatic about 40 days later, and I want Kind of a production cycle of harvesting every 30 to 40 days.
The growbox is like...euh... randomly found components. Cardboard, duct tape, aluminium style insulation sheets, and the fan was found close to garbage boxes in my village, for free.
As a "pour man" method, it works really well, i'm quite impressed.
For those who read this diary, please understand that english is not my mothertong. Be gentle 😉
Now i can clearly see the flowers starting to form. The plant drinks a lot of water compared to the beginning, I still let the soil almos dry between each watterring.
No problem at all with pests, except of a tiny snail that was eating a leaf at the top of the plant. It might come from the soil, as I found snail eggs in my compost. But no worries, it ate about 0.001% of the total amount of leaves. 😉
I removed some leaves from the bottom of the plant, as it is very dark under the canopee, and light couldnt penetrate.
I still train the branches a little bit and now I have a very uniform plant, like a little bush. Secondary branches from the bottom of the plant are now at the same level than the main one, and I think the harvest is gonna be very uniform, instead of having only a big main top cola with little buds at the bottom.
This is by far the nicest plant I've ever had. I love the shape and strength the LST technique gives.
I just hope that 72 watts will be enought ...
Nothing special to say, we're on day 60 now.
Last wattering was done with 10%urine solution with banana peel tea, total 3 L.
Still very healthy, leaves have a nice color.
No signs of nutrients deficiency, this girl is going well. The flowers are still small, but from a global point of view this plant is much bigger than expected using only 72 watts leds.
I had no problem at all since the
beginning. I think I'll use LST technique also on my next grow, with a Haze Berry auto and Orion F1. It will be published on my next diary.
Last days , I started to find some yellow leaves at the bottom of the plant.
The main branch is now bigger than my (large) thumb. I think the plant is swallowing every nutrients left, so I still use urine and banana peel tea to water it.
In general, the plant is very healthy and only leaves that were in the shadow are yellowing, so I removed them.
Buds are a thumb size approximatly, I ordered more lightbulbs to increase the total power at 150watts, at least the plant will have some benefits of it during it's last flowering weeks.
RQS says that harvest is done 12 to 13 weeks after sprouting, but honestly I think it is more realistic to plan 14-15 weeks, maybe 16.
The temperature in my growroom is a bit low, the soil is organic and the light is not so powerfull, not the best conditions to get fast yelds.
But, i'm really happy as I didn't plan the plant to be that wide. (It is actually wider than tall.)
See you next week 😉
