Classic method of wet paper towel. Heating mat and greenhouse propagador. Starting this plants indoors to move them out early may. Also running a third seed as a backup
Started vegging. Plants growing healthy. Backup seed started a week later and did not come out of soil. Next post will probably appear. At the moment everything is running smoothly
I placed 6 more seeds to germinate. It is my first year starting my outdoor run indoors and I decided to be on the safe side. Will end up picking 2 out of the 4 Gelato and 1 out of the 4 Biscotti. The decision will be mainly health driven.
Nothing much going on. Just plain water. Soil is a blend of coco, peat and worm castings. Keeping it light the first weeks. 4 first plants transplanted into a 1.5L pot
At this point i was a bit worries because despite trying to match indoor hours to outdoors gradually, and not going below 14, plants started to show signs of flowering. After some conversations i dicided to wait for it to reverse. First time this happened to me. If somebody has a protocol please let me know.
Plants started vegetative growth again. After gowing was stunted and only weird shaped leafs were developed for a while, they started growing normal leafs again.
Finally i transplanted the plants to its final pot. Other plants are going to be given away. Eventually i will put some autos but they won't be included in the diary.
Biscotti will be always in the left and Gelatos in the right.
I chose the smallest biscotti to see how it would perform a smaller plant in a 30Gal pot and i chose the biggest gelato to compare transplanting them in a 30 and 15gal pot
From now on automatic watering will be installed.
I toped the biscotti mintz once and the gelato twice. From now on only LST will be done
Big pots are 30gal 110L and small one 15gal 50L
Plant are under the structure i build. It will he used to provide shade, protection against moths and shelter from heavy late summer rains. Every now and then plants were trained through LST. I watered twice a day about 2% of total volume.
Rains came. Plants protected as flowering was about to start. Mesh to prevent moths from laying eggs. They are a big problem were I live and I amb not a big fan of foliar spray during flowering as we live in a very humid area. Some defoliation was done.
