Another (hopefully) quick grow until I can use love_to_grow's living soil again. Using my last Green Buzz Nutrients and some light organic herb soil mixed with pumice as a base.
Germination took 8 days - I was already giving up, to be honest. Now glad I didn't.
Thank you C. for gifting me the seed!
I prepared the usual automatic watering via wick, added some microbes and stimulators and transfered it into my grow box.
For the seedling I used herb soil without much nutrients and, beneath that, Terra Preta for the first time. I should have used rubber gloves. My hands were black afterwards.
The two journals I'm currently keeping show quite clearly how important good lights are. This plant here is a week younger, but has grown considerably more. Whilst the height is about the same, more leaves have developed here and they are also larger.
The outsides of the leaves have been slightly curved upwards for a few days now. I've never had this with my plants before and I'm not sure what it means. Colour and growth look good.
This plant ist different from all my other grows. It does not grow in hight, but developed a bunch of nodes, twigs and leaves. It's looks as dense as a broccoli.
Also, the edges of the leaves are curling up a little bit.
I asked about it here on Growdiaries and got many different answers. I think that it might be because of too intense lights or is a result of ill-fitted soil. Any help is appreciated.
This plant really puzzles me. The leaves no longer bend upwards and it looks healthier overall.
I have turned the light down a little and set up continuous watering with a clay cone from Blumat. The temperatures are fluctuating extremely here at the moment, so it can take water when it needs it.
An attempt to implement low stress training ended in the immediate breakage of a branch. Everything on the plant is crowded, bushy and massive.
I really hope that it will continue to grow in hight!
I'm not sure if this is already the fade or some serious malnutrition. The buds aren't ripe yet, I'm guessing another week here.
I have to be honest, I have given up a bit on this plant. I have had too many personal things going on in the last few weeks and have not had time to look after the ladies. But more importantly, they have stayed so small that I can only hope for a speedy completion. As I can rule out other factors and two different seeds are affected, I think the problem must be inferior soil.
I harvested the plant in two batches - mainly because I have another plant in the grow box and it still needed light, so I was able to use it for the slightly smaller buds at the same time. The odour is intense and my fingers were very sticky afterwards.
