I soaked seven seeds in regular tap water for eight hours. After soaking, I planted the seeds in coco coir pellets, placing them 1.5 cm deep. I then placed the seven coco coir pellets in a small propagator, which is now in my tent, covered to keep it warm and dark, until the seedlings show up.

Out of the 7 beans I started with, 6 popped, but 1 of them didn‘t make it to the top. Also #5 popped a day later, but it is already planed to be placed outside when it is big enough. The other plants on the first day are also outside now. I planted 4 of them in 12L fabric pots and #5 had to go in a 20L pot, because it was the only left. I used BioBizz All Mix, which I mixed with about 10% Water and just left a hole for the coco pellets. Befor placing them, I carefully removed the layer around the pellets, so the roots could spread better. For the first week I only gave tap water and I’m going to start with BioBizz Grow in the next week.

This week, the 4 Sticky Orange XXL plants are continuing to settle in their 12L fabric pots, while #5 is still in its 20L pot, waiting for the right moment to be placed outside. After a week of just tap water, I’ve introduced them to their first dose of BioBizz Grow. The dosage was kept moderate, since I want to ease them into the nutrients rather than overwhelm them. I’ve been giving them water every 2-3 days, depending on how dry the soil feels. Each plant has been receiving around 600ml of water per session. No training techniques have been applied yet; I’m holding off until they reach 4 nodes. The node spacing is still quite tight, and I want to let them stretch just a bit more before I top them. The plan is to top at 4 nodes, which should give me 8 solid main branches to train through the SOG net later on. Growth is steady, and all plants look healthy so far, except #5 which I think is due to the cheap and very hard soil. I’m keeping an eye on their overall progress and making sure the environment stays consistent. No issues with nutrient burn or deficiency yet, which is a good sign that they’re adjusting well to their new feeding schedule. Looking forward to next week when the real training begins!

On Day 16, Plant #5 left the tent and was moved outdoors to a friend’s place. I probably won’t see any pictures of it for a while. On Day 17, I topped Plants #1-#4, and by Day 19, I used U-shaped metal stakes to pull down the lowest branches, helping spread them out a bit more. I’m still feeding them BioBizz BioGrow once a week, but this time I upped it to the full dose of 1.0 ml/L. On Day 19, I also added small reinforced rings to the fabric pots so I can later train the branches with garden wire to prepare them for the Scrog net. Interestingly, while the plants sprouted in order from #1 to #4, their growth has flipped. Plant #4 is now the strongest, while #1 lags a bit behind. That said, #1 isn’t performing poorly, just a little slower than the others. Plant #2 is slightly ahead of #1, and #3 and #4 are almost neck and neck, with #4 pulling ahead just a bit more. Overall, growth is steady, and the plants are responding well to the topping and light training. Looking forward to seeing how they fill out in the next week!

As the pre-flowering stage became noticeable at the end of last week, I decided to give each plant 30g of Greenhouse Feeding Bio Bloom dry fertilizer on Day 23. I worked it into the top layer of the 12L BioBizz All-Mix soil for all four plants. Additionally, I used the rings I attached last week to pull down the top four branches (two nodes) with garden wire, creating a very even canopy. The only exceptions are Plant #1, which still has two branches lagging slightly behind, and Plant #2, with one slower branch. Otherwise, all branches are level and developing well. The top branches are already showing a lot of budding sites, and all four plants are entering full bloom with many pistils emerging. I’ll likely start threading the branches through the net next week as the stretch continues. For feeding, I’m still sticking to once a week, but now I’m using Bio Grow (1.0 ml/L), Top-Max (1.0 ml/L), Alg-A-Mic (1.0 ml/L for heat stress), and 0.3 ml/L Cal-Mag as a preventive measure. Due to high outdoor temperatures, the tent sometimes reaches up to 33°C during the day, so I had to water about every 1.5 days, giving 700ml per plant. At the end of the week, I gave each plant a full liter of water with the added nutrients. I’m skipping BioBloom since I’ve already added the dry fertilizer. The plants are thriving despite the heat, and I’m excited to see how they continue to stretch and bloom in the coming week!
