Day 26 - the sprouts have put out roots and are growing faster. I add fertilizer every other day to avoid overdosing.
The previous days were similar to those described in my other report - germination in mineral wool plugs, then formation of the root system in mineral wool cubes in a container with an air compressor
Day 36 - WestCoast OG plants have grown a lot in size. One has slowed down, the other is a few cm taller and 1-2 leaf levels taller.
The tallest 7CH is getting the most light in the middle of the box and is growing strong.
The solution has flowered due to the high temperatures in the sun during the day. I plan to replace it completely to keep the roots healthy.
Day 54 - 2 plants have grown to 50 cm. Red stems - lack of phosphorus.
The plant №3 has grown to 60 cm in height and is actively blooming
The green plant in the background was not autoflowering. Looks like it will be bigger than the others. It was a bonus seed.
It will be -2 degrees Celsius outside this week, I hope the plants will survive the cold and be strong
Day 63 - flowers at their peak, most trichomes are orange. Harvest today, after drying in a box without light for 7-10 days, room temperature - 18 degrees Celsius.
I picked 4 of 5 bushes. From WestCoast OG one is not bad - 40-60 cm - drying.
The second is very small - picked small flowers in a 2 liter container.
The third 7CH - was the most vigorous of all, without any growth retardation.
It grew to 60-70 cm, then I bent its top under the lamp so as not to burn it.
It is also drying, in 7 days we will see the dry result.
One nut did not bloom on its own, I switched it late to the 12/12 mode, it will be ready in another box in about 4-6 weeks
Day 71 - the plant bloomed later than the others, because it turned out to be photoperiod.
The plant is slowing down in growth due to cold nights. The temperature at night in the tent dropped to 6 degrees Celsius, this slows down growth.
The plant was moved to a separate box for 4-8 weeks until ripening. The roots look healthy, took up about half of the 20 liter container. They are in water 4 cm below the level of the DWC system basket.
The temperature at night is 12-18 degrees, so the plant may slow down in growth.
Due to the installation of a 600 W HPS lamp, additional green shoots with flowers began to grow. I hope for a fat harvest!
Soon 2 other plants will dry out (WestCoast OG), 2 others fit into a 2 liter container - weak bonus nuts.
Plant Condition
Active new foliage formation
Old damaged leaves removed
Overall condition is good
Stable water consumption (1L/day)
Maintenance Activities
Care
Daily misting with spray bottle
Regular watering with osmotic water
Planning to trim lower branches to concentrate growth in upper flowers
Nutrition
Replacement of Hesi Bloom with alternative feeding:
Foliar spray with flowering nutrients
Humus solution treatment
Forecast and Plans
Expected time until harvest: 2 weeks
Temperature monitoring due to approaching frost
Planned preventive harvesting before severe temperature drop
Problems and Solutions
Lamp burn issues resolved by adjusting suspension height
Lack of specialized fertilizer compensated with alternative feeding methods
Recommendations
Constant temperature monitoring required during cold season growing
Maintaining backup supply of primary nutrients recommended
Important to maintain air humidity through misting when using HPS lighting
I started this period to evaluate the efficiency in my conditions. Hydroponics or soil. Conclusion - it is better to start hydroponics with a full set of fertilizers, it is also important to monitor the flowering of the solution and change it in time. One bonus bush remained in flowering.
It did not bloom because it was photoperiod. I moved it to a separate place under a 600 W HPS lamp and installed 12/12, I think in a month it will also be ready.
In another report, the same variety in soil - I want to compare the efficiency with it.
These two plants were slow to grow until the very end, there was no chance to get a decent harvest from them. I made a lot of mistakes with hydroponics, I'm waiting for the last one from this report, it's about a month away
Day 94 - today the temperature inside the tent dropped to 10-12 degrees Celsius. So it's harvest time.
I trimmed almost all the leaves and hung the plant in a dark place to dry at a temperature of 12 degrees. This is not enough, but unfortunately there are no other conditions. Drying may take longer than the usual 10-12 days.
The plant itself has stretched almost a meter in height, the roots are also impressive.
