This is my first grow. Wish me luck! All seeds were soaked in water for 24 hours and stored in a dark place. After ~10 hours I gave each seed a little push with my fingertip and they sank the the bottom. They were then planted directly in soil at a depth of ~0.5cm and broke through the soil after 3 days. My pots are 12 liters filled with mostly BioBizz Allmix and about 1.5 liters LightMix on top. My plan is to not feed them for the first 3-4 weeks, because the prefertilized soil might burn the plant if I add additional fertilizer. The lights are on 40% and 80cm above the sproutlings. I picked those strains because I wanted to have a strain of each type: HBH Is described as an uplifting sativa. PA sounds like a sativa leaning hybrid and the effect of BKC is described as very relaxing. I am a little afraid that my space (0.5m²) might be a bit too small for those 3 plants. While HBHs and PAs official description list them as being around 100 cm tall, I have read a few reports stating that the plants grew way larger, up to 130-140 cm. I have ~150 cm from pot to light and maybe 160 cm if I rearrange my setup. The tent is 92x54x189 cm, so it might get crowded. It is designed to fit in an IKEA Wardrobe, which I have ordered but not received yet. Updates: 05. October 2024: It is day 6 now and they are developing their second set of leaves. My BKC seems to be quite light hungry. As soon as it developed the second leaves it started stretching againg. Again I added some soil and lowered my lights. BKC now gets 340 PPFD and ~22 DLI which is above any recommendation I read. Hope I don't burn any leaves. I placed the other plants to the side, since they are not stretching. They are now receving 290-300 PPFD and ~20 DLI. Any advice?

I added pictures from 4 days after germ and wonder why my seedlings are so leggy (~5cm). I already filled it up with soil and they would be 10cm by now if I didn't. First 2 days was 12-14 DLI and since yesterday am giving them more light than many guides say: 250-270 PPFD, 18 DLI

Hey, a little bit of stretching is normal under SanLight LEDs as they emit not so much blue but more red in their light spectrum. If it really would have been 10cm long by now without adding soil on top, you may have had the light a little too far away for the first 2-3 days...it should be fine now with the adjustments and start to make bigger leaves while slowly getting bigger with the stem thickening. A good indicator is the color of the stems, they shouldnt be too light in colour, thats when you dont have enough light. Good luck!

We have a decalcification machine (natrium based), so I have low magnesium/calcium. People say my soil is low in cal/mag. Should I add Biobizz Calmag on my first watering?(50% of recommendation for autos?) This one looks already droopy, doesn't it? Think I need to water soon.

If you have a water softener, it may be best to mix 50% of it with unsoftened water. Water that is low in minerals is not good for plants and does not react in the same way with fertilizers, in terms of pH and EC. After that, if you want to give it calcium and natural magnesium, it is available in quantity in clay. By adding some to your potting soil, the plant will take it when necessary 😉👍
