After soaking the Humboldt Ice Cream Cake seeds in distilled water, I was happy to see two of them sprout strong roots within twenty-four hours, while the third seed opened up just a bit. I’m hopeful that this last one will catch up soon so that all three can grow together. I’m especially excited about this grow because I’m aiming to make it my go-to for a wake-and-bake, with high hopes for the flavor and quality, especially since I enjoyed Ice Cream Pie before and expect this to be even better.
I'll be running this grow under a 400W HPS initially, but if I manage to keep the temperatures down, I’ll switch to a 600 w HPS and after this grow I'll buy a 720W LED ( wont say which one), which I plan to use for the flowering phase etc. For nutrients, I’ll be using the pH Perfect Connoisseur for flowering, along with pH Perfect Cal-Mag to keep everything balanced. I also plan to add Big Bud and potentially Overdrive as the plants progress to give them an extra boost for dense, flavorful buds. I’m really hoping for a great outcome with this setup and can’t wait to see how these plants turn out!
