Jack Herer Auto

Planted these 2 Jack Here Auto's to speed up production, I have 2 plants from my first grow that are in week 8 of flowering and a buddy just told me Sat they look like they still have 2 months to go! A friend grew some of these seeds I had before and they took a long time. So, I decided to try a few Autos while everything else is Vegging. I have another grow diary started for my Gelato and Strawberry Banana grow and plan to veg them while the Jack's grow. I also have 2 Clones from a friend I am nursing along. But this Journal will just be about my first Auto's. I live in MI and started by first seeds 6 days after the Recreational law went into effect. So I guess I am still on my 1st grow, but have 2nd grow started and apparently starting my 3rd with these Jack Here Autos I bought from SeedKing. My goal is to keep a perpetual grow going. I have a 2x4x4 tent for Veg, but am building a much bigger room under stairs should be done soon. I will take the veg tent down and use this room exclusively for Veg. I have a 4x4x8 tent for my flower room. Sunday at 1AM ish, I planted the seeds in Root Riot cubes, I have germinated 8 seeds this way now and everyone of them have grown, so if it aint broke don't fix it. Hopefully they will be popping up soon. I have them on a heating mat in a cardboard egg container with a Tupperware container over it with a OTT light above and a towel warped around to keep warm. Checked on them at lunch today. 2/26/19 Jack 1 seed looks to be opening a bit and Jack 2 seed looks like a tap root is coming out side? Not sure. 2/27/19 Jack 1 seed this AM is defiantly open and moved up through the hole in the Root Riot. Jack 2 is higher today for sure. Went home at lunch and checked them Jack 2 is now in the lead showing some green coming out of the shell, Jack 1 is definitely open. I bet by the time I get home they should be above the Root Riot. 2/28/19 I was right that Jack 2 would come up first, it was up when I got home last night. Around 9pm I knocked the helmet off with a toothpick. Still haven't seed Jack 1 up yet, but hopefully at lunch he will be going. I have the 2 3 Gal Coco Fabric pots filled and ready for them. I will rinse and treat with Cal-Mag before panting again. I am going to plant right into the 3 Gal bypassing the 1 gal I am using in veg tent. I will have room once my new veg room is finished should be withing a day or so. The Panda film should be arriving today and I have 6 more floor tiles to lay down and then should be ready other than the door. 3/1/19 Had a bit of a worry this AM, the Jack 2 sprout looked sick and almost dead. I just gave it a dropper of water and at lunch today checked it again and looked closely at it and saw a film over it must have been inside of the helmet, i flicked it with tip of toothpick and it came off and leaves popped out. Ok well that is going well now and looks good. The Jack 1 seed has not done anything I spread open the Root Riot a bit and it looks like it started to grow but is doing nothing, so at lunch today I put in Jack 3 and we will see what we have soon. So that one will be about a week behind the other one. I also put a WYSE camera and setup a time-lapse on the Jack 2, if the Jack 3 or 1 start coming up I may restart it on those and get seed to harvest via time-lapse. Should be interesting to see. I am setting them up for 10min pictures for a week at a time. I ran a 3 month long one on my first grow and the file is 9GB in size not sure what I will do with that I am sure I can compress it somehow. That is the update for today.

Jack 2 seedling is growing along, I planted it the other day into it's 3 Gallon Pot and been just giving a bit of water surrounding the seedling about 3 inches in diameter. The other 2 seeds I planted still have not popped, not much hope for the one planted on 2/25 the same time as the other one. The other seed I planted about 5 days ago, hopefully will be up very soon. Not sure why the seeds are not coming up prior to the Jack's I have had 100% seed to plant using this technique. 3/7/19 - Jack 2 was moved last night from the florescent lights to the outside of the veg area under the LED. Growing good, the latest seed I planted still has not come up, If they don't pop, I don't think I will plant anything else, I can see the plants I have now growing in addition to the Jack Auto is going to become too much to flower all together. 3/9/19 Still nothing from 2nd seed I planted. I am going to contact the supplier at this point. The one that is going is doing well I have been watching the playback on my WYSE camera and last night was the biggest growth spurt, I bet that the roots have been growing since putting it in the 3 gal pot. I think it is about to take off.

Not much going on with Jack. None of the other seeds ever started, I took the two out of the root riots and put them with one more in a wet paper towel on a heating pad. At lunch today the new one looked cracked open. The other two still nothing. So maybe one more auto will be coming shortly. 3/12/19 Well last night the new Jack Herer Seed I added with the other two duds, had a tap root, I opened up a Root Riot and stuck it in and put it on a heating pad with a few clones I am trying to get going. So Jack 2 might be on it's way. Jack 1 is looking great, I am thinking about just letting this Auto run it's course and then try a bit of training or mainlining on the 2nd one. I really want to get stocked up on product, I am almost out and my first grow is taking forever to finish. 3/14/19 Not much new, just watching little Jack grow. Gave him some feeding with the other girls last night. All looks good. The other seed I started Sunday is getting it's first leaves, I will get it's 3 gal pot ready tonight, but probably won't plant it yet, I am going to move my light over about 8" tonight to spread all the girls out a bit, I have 4 5 Gal pots, 1 3 Gal and 2 1Gal pots now and need more room, but I have more than enough space in the room I built. 3/15/19 Spent a lot of time with my other plants last night and spent a good amount of time researching training options on Auto's since this is my 1st Auto I am growing I am just going to LST on this one. I put a wire to support the bend in the stalk and then pulled the stem down and pulled one leaf flat and will just try to get as much light to the center as possible. I am now getting concerned over space there is no way all these are going to fit in my flower tent I see in the next few weeks new room being built or having to make my veg room into flower room.

3/19/19 Jack Auto 1 is growing great, I am continuing to LST her as flat as I can keep her. She is growing so fast now. Fun to see a auto grow for the first time. I had a bag of dirt left from my first grow, so I decided to plant the other Jack auto with that dirt, will just have to remember at feeding to feed her a bit diffrently than the Coco grow. 3/20/19 Well this guy is just growing like crazy, the main stalk is crazy strong and is pulling the wires right back up. But Go Jack Go! The new seedling is looking fine not doing much yet. It is crazy how fast this girl is growing her branches are pulling up my wire anchors, going to have to tie her down soon,

4/9/19 Jack 1 is doing great just some lst I did deflower it a week ago. I had a big change in my life and been a bit preoccupied lately. The pictures are over the last 2 weeks, on Sunday I moved Jack from the veg room to the flower tent. While I won't detail the grow the 2nd Jack I planted 4 weeks ago is starting to take off, I am not going to do any training or anything to this plant, I have never let one just grow.

This post was on week 5 by mistake, the actual week is 7 on the Jack it was moved to the flower room on Sunday. She is looking great, may do a general defloration one more time when I water her again. Probably tonight. 4/9 Gave Jack 1 a feeding and it she is growing so fast, I looked before bed and the night before even with canopy of others, and was almost above. I bet I will have to lower her when I get home tonight. The other Jack in the veg room is growing good, I am not going to do anything and just let this one grow other than feed her. 4/11 Last night checked in on Jack in the flower tent. She grew about 3 or more inches yesterday. I took a rack she was sitting on off and she was same level as the other girls in the tent again. I am likely going to take some fan leaves off this evening and she probably needs some feeding. 4/12 Last night I took Jack 1 out and gave her a good deflower to expose as many bud sites as possible. The LST I did on her seems to have several good bud sites developing. I hung her with a ratchet strap like my 2 one gallon clones hanging by rope. Using the ratchet straps I can raise/lower the plant as it grows and keep a even canopy. I am still not planning to do anything to the Jack 2 plant in the veg room still I want to compare yields. The only thing that is going to throw off my comparison is Jack 2 is in Potters Gold soil and Jack 1 is in Coco so there may be some differences between the growing medium. 4/13 All is going well I moved Jack 1 around in the flower tent while hanging she is now centered under the light and can raise or lower her as needed. She will need a feeding along with the other's in the flower tent. I ordered a CANAGROW 300W COB LED light and will setup my 2x2x4 tent again to veg in, I am going to have to flip my current veg room to flower because I have 3 photos and Jack 2 in the veg room and they need to flip on Easter to 12/12. I started my last Jack Auto seed last night and will get her in the new tent when setup. 4/15 Jack 1 looks good no new photos, I lowered her a inch or so to get her even with canopy in flower tent, I really like hanging the plants, I may try to hang a shelf for 3 plants, not sure if that would be too much weight. Jack 2 in the veg room is growing great, I have not touched her at all and plan to just let her grow. I started my last Jack Herer Auto Sunday in a paper towel along with a new strain G13, so Jack 3 is going now. Tap roots about 1/4 inch and put in root riots under CFL's on heating mat. Going to be time to setup my 2x4x4 tent very soon.

4/17 Well I forgot to move up a week yesterday, but here is a update. Jack 1 is growing like crazy in the flower tent. She got a good feeding last night and took off some fan leaves covering lower bud sites other than that just keep lowering her a bit to keep her level with the canopy. When I feed her she drops down several inches and then as the pot dries it goes back up a bit, but the hanging idea really seems to be working well. The Jack Herer 2 Auto in the veg room is growing well, she is 2 weeks behind the other and I am not doing anything training wise to her. Just keeping her watered. I will be installing a vent fan out of the veg room this week in preperation of flipping the veg room to flower for the photos that are in another diary. My last Jack Herer Auto seed is sprouted and will be setting up the 2x4x4 tent very soon they are under cfl's for now along with a G13 that will be in another Journal. 4/19 Gave Jack 1 and the other girls in the flower tent a good feeding last night. Jack Herer seems fragil, i broke a branch and it did not split but it bent over a lot, i guess a bit of supercropping is going to happen to Jack 1. Jack 2 is growing like a weed in the veg room. I am flipping that room to 12/12 tomorrow. Will probably move Jack 2 to the flower tent as well. Jack 3 is about ready to get into it's 3 gal pot. I will be mixing some coco today.

Jack 1 is doing great the resulting accidental super cropping seems to be fine the bud sites continue to grow like crazy everywhere. It will be interesting to see the comparison yields from the two plants one with a good bit of LST and one with no training. Both are now in the flower room hanging next to each other. I really like hanging the fabric pots, I don't think my tent would support hanging the 5 Gallon pots, but I might make adjustable shelf in the back of the tent. I had to flip the veg room to flower for my 3 photos that would not fit in the flower tent and setup a 2x4x4 tent I had with a 300 watt light temporally while I get some plants to finish. I still have one of my first grow plants that I sprouted on 12/16 growing and it won't finish it just keeps building bud on bud on bud. After the 6 photos I have growing I am doing all auto's for a while. I will be starting a new Journal for my next Auto Grow. 4/23 Fed all the girls last night, Jack 1 is forming just a ton of bud sites. Looks like there will be several colas of good size, time will tell. She looked good a lunch when i stuck my head inside the tent. Jack 2 is growing as well. I think I am going to turn the plants around tonight to give them a different angle to the light. Still have not done anything to her other than tuck some large fan leaves back. 4/24 Amazing how fast these auto's grow once they start. I have 3 more started in another journal and they are just sitting there doing nothing but growing roots and they they go. Anyway, Jack 1 continues to show lots of bud sites and the flowers are really starting to grow. The Jack 2 which is receiving no training is starting to show flowers. I have also even though the Jack Herer seems to be fragile I am going to try to quadline the 3rd one then I can compare yields of one with just LST, One with HST, and one with no training. Only factor is the one with no training is grown in soil i had left just enough to fill one more 3 gal pot.

Jack 1 is doing great, she has a ton of bud sites, and directly centered under the light in the flower tent. The Jack 2 which is 2 weeks behind with no training is also looking good. It is interesting to watch the buds develop and find their way to light under all the fan leaves. She looks great and am very happy with both plants. I look forward to tracking the yields of these two. 4/29 I watered the 2 Jack Herer and moved them to the Veg Room (on 12/12 now) and raised the light a whole bunch for the 2 of them. I was watching the time lapse last night and the Jack 2 grew a good bit last night. Look forward to seeing her growth at lunch today. I moved the photos all to one room and will grow the Auto's I am doing for a while in the veg room since light cycle doesn't make that big of difference. 5/3 The light burn on the Jack 1 plant is pretty bad and some of the leaves are drying up. I pulled those off yesterday. The Jack 2 with no training just keeps getting bigger and that is fine there is plenty of room and light for them. Sunday I may be moving a few other autos in this room. But the buds are starting to really form on Jack 1 and Jack 2 is starting to flower Jack 2 is 2 weeks behind Jack 1.

Been a while since I had time to update, I got the flu last week and was in bed from Thursday evening till Sunday. I did off and on get up and tend to the girls a bit. Thursday I did give them all a flush at 6.0 except for the Jack 2 in dirt I gave her around 7.0PH. I figured out what happened again to the Jack 1 it had Melbourne Dif, my PH meter was not working right and was way off. I ended up using my chemicals to measure it. Took a bit longer but I was sure that it was off. I checked with my meter it said 6 and it tested with my chemical reader at lower than it would show. Anyway the tricomes on Jack 1 is looking very good the buds are smaller but maybe they will bulk up some more. They are all clear still maybe slightly milky. Jack 2 is huge and lucky I have a lot of room for her. I am about ready to move a few more Auto's in so Jack 1 needs to get done.
