Huganji_37 Learning from My Mistakes – Growing Lemon Shining Silver Haze
I have to admit—I’m not entirely sure what growth week my plants are in. Since I never planned to document this grow, I lost track early on. If I had to guess, I’d say we’re around week five. But after running into a few problems, I decided to start tracking the progress of my Lemon Shining Silver Haze plants with photos.
My second grow was a complete disaster, so this time, I want to learn from my mistakes. Keeping a blog seems like a great way to reflect on what’s going wrong (and hopefully, what’s going right).
The Two Biggest Problems I’ve Faced
Over the past week, I ran into two major issues:
I mistook underwatering for overwatering.
I didn’t realize my plants were suffering from nutrient burn until it was too late.
At first, I thought all the symptoms pointed to overwatering, so I adjusted my approach accordingly. What I didn’t realize was that excess nutrients were likely the real culprit. In response, I started watering more while keeping my fertilizer levels the same. In hindsight, this probably made things worse.
Because the soil had gone through a long dry phase, a lot of nutrients had built up. When I suddenly increased watering, more of those stored nutrients got absorbed at once, leading to oversaturation.
It’s frustrating, but I’m seeing this as a learning experience. Hopefully, by documenting everything, I’ll be able to make better adjustments moving forward.

Huganji_37 Adjusting My Watering Strategy – Week 6 of Lemon Shining Silver Haze
In what I believe to be the sixth week of vegetation, I’m still battling nutrient deficiencies and trying to find the right approach. More than once, I’ve questioned whether I’m making the right decisions.
This week, I decided to reduce the amount of fertilizer in my water while increasing the overall water volume per watering. In the previous week, I was watering every other day, giving about 1.5–2 liters across my three plants. However, to avoid overwatering, I adjusted my approach.
Now, I only water every three to four days, and only when the pots feel noticeably light. When I do water, I give about 3–4 liters in total for all three plants. This ensures that the roots have enough time to dry out between waterings, helping to prevent root rot.
I also started to check and correct the Ph Value since end of this week.
A Key Tip for Hand Watering
If you’re hand-watering your plants, I highly recommend waiting until the pots feel light before watering again. Over time, you’ll develop a good instinct for this.
So far, this new method seems to be working—the plants are slowly regaining their vitality. Let’s hope they continue on this path!

Huganji_37 First Week of Flowering – Progress and Adjustments
We've now reached the first week of flowering, and so far, the progress has been a bit slow. The plants have grown about 2–3 cm and are slowly recovering.
This week, I decided to give them a light dose of fertilizer, but a few days later, I switched to just water and Alg-A-Mic. I did this to avoid any nutrient overload, which seems to have worked well so far. The leaves are gradually becoming greener, and while the burnt tips and edges are still visible, I haven’t noticed any new leaves showing similar signs. To me, this is a good indication that the plants are on the right track.
When I water next, I'll be using a nutrient solution that’s lighter than before, but better suited to the plants' needs now that they’re in the flowering stage. The nutrient requirements start to shift during this phase, so we’ll see how the plants respond next week.

Huganji_37 Recovery, Light Feeding & Lollipopping – Flowering Week 2
This week, the plants have started to recover, and I continued feeding them—just with a reduced dosage. They still show signs of overfeeding, which is visible on the leaves. Unfortunately, that kind of damage is irreversible, but it’s a reminder to be more cautious moving forward.
To avoid making the same mistake again, I’ve lowered the nutrient concentration for this week. From now on, I’ll only feed with a full nutrient mix every second watering. In between, I’ll stick to just CalMag and Alg-A-Mic to support the plants without overwhelming them.
The stretch is now clearly visible, and thankfully, the plants are growing upwards quite evenly. You can also start to clearly see the early bud sites forming, which is always exciting.
At the end of the week, I defoliated and lollipopped the plants in hopes of boosting airflow and focusing energy on the main bud sites—hopefully leading to a better yield.
I’m optimistic that the plants will continue to improve over the next few days. If they keep developing like this, we’re definitely on the right track. Until next time!

Huganji_37 Steady Progress – End of Stretch and Bud Development
This week has been smooth and stress-free. The plants have recovered nicely and are now looking noticeably more vital. It seems like the stretch phase has officially ended.
There’s a bit of variation in plant height, but it’s nothing to worry about. Just a few individual branches are stretching out—most of the canopy is fairly even. Two of the plants have their tallest colas reaching around 60 cm, while the shorter one is sitting at about 50 cm.
I’ve noticed a bit of yellowing on some leaves, but it’s nothing too severe, and I’m confident I can get it under control. Currently, I’m watering every three days with about 4–5 liters in total.
The buds are slowly starting to bulk up, and the trichomes are becoming clearly visible. The flowers and sugar leaves are beginning to sparkle, which is always a beautiful sign of what’s to come.
I’m really starting to feel a connection with this grow and have developed a solid instinct for what these plants need. Looking forward to the next few weeks—until next time!

Huganji_37 Weekly Grow Update 🌿 – Things Are Looking Up!
This week has been a real win. The plants bounced back nicely, and I’ve finally found a good rhythm with the watering. Nutrients are still being fine-tuned, but everything’s heading in the right direction.
The buds have bulked up and are filling out more and more – love seeing that progress! The plants are noticeably thicker and bushier now, looking strong and healthy overall.
At the end of the week, I did a round of defoliation to lower the risk of mold as we move deeper into flowering. They’re looking a bit bare in some spots, but airflow is way better now – totally worth it.
All in all, super happy with how things are going. I’ve been sticking to about 4 liters of water every 2–3 days, and that seems to be working great.
Can’t wait to see what next week brings – stay tuned and happy growing! 🌱

Huganji_37 Weekly Grow Update 🌸 – Steady Progress and Sticky Buds!
This week was super smooth. The plants continued developing nicely, and the buds have been packing on size. Plus, they’re getting stickier by the day, producing more and more resin – love seeing (and feeling) that!
On top of that, some of the buds are starting to show a slight purple tint, which looks absolutely beautiful. Every day, I’m getting more excited about finally harvesting and testing these beauties – but there’s still a good bit of work ahead.
Next week, I’m planning to tweak my feeding schedule a little: I’ll start lowering the Bio-Grow and increasing the Bio-Bloom to match the plants’ needs in late flowering. Watering habits have stayed about the same – around 4–5 liters every 2–3 days, depending on how heavy the pots feel.
pH levels are usually between 6.4 and 6.8, and overall, the plants are looking fit and healthy. I really hope the next few weeks keep going as smoothly as this one.
See you next time, friends – happy growing! 🌿✨
