Didn’t plan on doing this journal sense I’m doing another Royal Queens Seeds. Not many journals on this strain so I figured I would share my experience with this strain. First of started from seed and popped a 3 pack. In 24 hours 2 sprouted and took off. 1 popped a whole 5 days later. The other 2 reached 8in in size in about a week from sprout before topping. Took them a few days to recover but once they did it was back to races for the girls. I uploaded pictures for the first 3 weeks of life.

Here we are couple days into week 3 of veg and all 3 ladies are doing great in their on way. They’ve transplanted into there new home. 5 gallon smart pots in super soil I put together. In a 5x5x8 grow tent with a HLG 600h. I popped 3 seed of this strain. One popped about a week after the other 2 and had a slow start. I just recently topped it and and hope it bounces back and continues its growth. The other 2 are doing great. One is leading the pack at 13in in hieght already and the other in 11in tall. Started LST on both these plants and they took to it well. Excited for the last 2 weeks of veg.

Week 5 of life and just finishing up with week 3 of veg and looking for 2 of these girls. Popped a 3 pack and one just didn’t really take. So just continue this grow with just the 2 healthy girls. You’ll notice one of the plants staked. This particular plant is really growing in a very sativa structure. Very stretchy with skinny leaves. Have been tying down a lot of branches to maintain a even grow with all my other plants in the tent. The other is more indica shaped. Bushier with much thicker wider fan leaves and much closer grow. Very strong stems, little branch’s basically. It’s also about a inch and a half shorter currently. So far it’s been interesting grow. Was going to do a 5 week veg but the growth in my new super soil has been better then expected, so 4 weeks will be enough. Excited for flower for these two.

Hello everyone Week 7 of life for the girls. Just finished up the first week of flower and everything is looking good. Originally was going to do a 5 week veg but the growth under my hlg 600 has been amazing. In the first 7 days of flower they’ve stretched about 6-8in. I suspect they still have a little more to go. I switched to flower at 18.5in and by next week 2 of the 3 plants will be over 3 ft tall. Definitely tall girls but they take to training well so easily could be trained to be a weirder plant. So far its been fun growing this strain. Only thing I’ve disliked is the multiple phenotypes. Only because they respond to feeding differently. The 2 indica leafed ones can take anything even stress. The sativa shapes one is much more sensitive. We’ll see what next week brings for us in the garden. Stay tuned!

Welcome back for week 8 of life and the end of week 2 of flower. Busy week for these 3 ladies. In 16 days these girls have tripled in size. I switched to flower at 18 to 19in and 2 of these girls are slightly taller then 4ft. This strain is definitely has not stopped stretching sense the beginning. Topping and lst couldn’t keep them down. I try to keep an even canopy little over 3ft so I can avoid light problems but these girls are going to test my tent space and light. I added a video this week so everyone can see the difference compared to my other plant, which include 2 other royal queen seed strains. I’m couriers to see how buds will form on these girls. Definitely about 4 to 5in in between growth noobs. I don’t expect to see a large yield but that’s definitely my fault for not training a little to keep them more compact. Excited for the last 6 weeks of flower. Sink or swim at this point, but who doesn’t love a good challenge. Stay Tuned!

Week 9 of life and just finished up week 3 of flower. These girls finally stopped stretching at 18 days into flower damn near almost tripled in size. If grown again I’ll definitely top twice and will do a better job at lst. Buds are starting to come in nicely. Leaves are already starting to frost. The smell is sweat and earthy. I have my carbon filter on full blast and can still smell them. I’m hoping the buds will fill out and hopefully they didn’t stretch to much. Stay Tuned!

Week 10 into the grow and just wrapped up week 4 of flower. The girls are doing great! Filling very nicely, forming nice colas. Being this far into flower I’m starting to notice the difference with in each plant. I popped 3 seeds and can definitely say there’s 3 different pheno types. Small, medium, and large is there names. Small started off slow and not sure if it would make it. It turned and could possibly be the better smoke. Golf ball sized colas full of frost with a earthy almost spice smell. Medium is one of the 4ft monsters just slightly shorter then her sister. The nugs are definitely more compact and don’t have as much resin as the other 2. Smell is also faint and a mixture of the 2. Large is a 4ft beauty. Has compact long colas with a very sweet scent. Definitely on the gelato side. Extremely frosty and a wonderful smell. Very finicky pheno this one but worth the reward. Excited to try these!

Week 11 and just finished up week 5 of flower. They’re starting to get really compact and dense. Each plant is starting to get their own smell. You’ll notice 2 of the plants are similar in look but large the third one is completely different. All three have different sweet smells. Looking like they’ll be done by week 8.

Week 13 of the this grow. Finished up with week 7 of flower. Buds are dense the smell is a mixture of spicy and sweet. This was a 3 plant grow with 3 different phenos. 2 of the phenos are similar in coloring and smell but different heights and bud structure. Pheno 3 finished at 49 days and is currently curing. The last 2 are definitely going 9 weeks. Excited to wrap the grow up.?

End of week 8 of flower. Pheno small is ready to harvest and will be cut down in a couple days. Pheno medium looks like it still needs about a week. That puts pheno small at 67 days till harvest and pheno large at 50 days. I expect pheno medium to go 70+ days till harvest. 3 seeds same package, same strain 3 completely different results. I will upload some harvest pictures of the large pheno next week.

After 72 days in flower I cut down the final pheno of this wedding gelato. 3 different phenos in this 3 pack. All produced some quality nugs. One finished at 50 days, pheno 2 in 62 days and pheno 3 in 72 days. I’ll do harvest in a couple weeks after the dry properly.

Fun grow thanks to Royal Queen Seeds. Plants turned out great and not a bad yield. Taste is wonderful on both strains. With high THC in both as well. Definitely will be trying again and other RQS strains.
