These gals were planted on 5/30 and 2 of 3 seeds sprouted on 6/3. They’re in the pots they’ll finish in and already sunbathing. Grew a bit since I got home from work!
The third of three seeds sprouted after my last post. These ladies are looking great and growing fast! Still just one light each. (I have a 17-week old plant taking its merry time and consuming my other lights... but I’ll pull the plug when I need them for these babies.) No fertilizers so far. First time trying a 24-hour light cycle; we’ll see how it goes. Not much to report yet except that it’s going to plan!
Tons of growth from last week! Two of these ladies are already hella leafy, looking healthy and growing a lot every day. The leaves are fat and the plants are squat as expected from the seeds’ description. Really pretty growth so far. One of the plants has taken a turn, maybe due to some potential residual fertilizer I didn’t realize was in its pot. All good because I only want to raise two plants through adulthood anyway this round.
I started adding some veg fertilizer a few days ago for the two plants that are doing well, and that definitely helped speed up the growth this last week. Going to chop down my big momma soon and get those two up to 300 watts each. ☀️
These ladies are doing great! Doubled in height since last week and have grown outward and bushy. The seed distributor says they’ll go into flowering after 2–3 weeks, but I’d bet they have a good amount of veg growing left to do. They’re now living under 300 watts of light each. I added auto-waterers which are awesome! Each plant is hooked up to a quart mason jar of water with three auto-waterers in it. Looks like the planties are taking up around a quart every four days. I usually err on the side of under-watering which has always worked well. I’ve been adding fertilizer separately so I have good control over how much they get. Trying to do the equivalent of once every two waterings which I’d say is once every five days or so.
