Lucy's my girl ...she has the will to live . I hardly had her out of the packet and I swear she sprouted before she even hit the jiffy pot . Talk about and energetic start in life. Amazing spring out of the gates . So its off to the races with Lucy in the Sky .....lets see if she is a winner !

LSD-25 is looking healthy . She has been busy putting down roots I think . Im waiting for some veg growth to start in earnest this week . Giving her a little weak solution of root boost and filtered water. Thats all . Water from top and plenty of air moving around . She is wagging in the breeze which is good as it builds strength in the trunk for later . Everything is normal. And nice to see a little flush of early color at the leaf base and stem . Hope I get the purple pheno. So nice to get a Fastbuds seed germinated and off to a great start. I have had such a bad run with my Fastbuds seeds of late. Im only getting 50% gemination rate from my Fastbuds seeds over the last year . Dont understand why , but hey ....shit happens ! . Anyway I'm positive about this grow .

Week three and growth looks is about normal . Increased hours under lights and lowered the lights . I pinched out the growing tip ( FIM) at the thrird node in order to promote some lateral structure. Will wait and see how the plant wants to grow and ajust my training as required. Looks like a have a light coloured Phenotype so time will tell if she produces the purple flashes .

Performed FIM at 3rd node end week 2 and again at 5th node mid week 3 . The idea was to promote the lateral branches without stressing her too much . Not quite sure how she will stretch but this strain looks like it wants to grow straight and true . Photos show that side branching is progressing and Im considering topping at node 5 or 6 either today or tomorrow . I have a feeling she is going to take off this week as she prepares to flower . The trunk has stiffened and she looks like she has a fairly robust frame so I think I can get away with topping her if I do it no later than tommorrow . Viewing other diaries for LDS-25 and some plants get very stretchy and upright with long internodal spacing . This pheno looks a little squat by comparison so Im hoping to get her to develop side branching forming somewhat of a flat canopy. First time to grow this strain so fingers crossed . To Top or Not to Top ...this is the question .

Day 28 saw a third severe FIM at just above 6th node, The result of the FIM process is that the lateral structure is starting to develop nicely. Day 32 I removed some fan leaves to let light into the core of the plant . Its developing a little canopy and looks like a lot of bud sites . A busy week as the plant starts to stretch and enters pre-flower. Only a mater of days untill the first flowers form , She looks so ready to flower. Day 34 She is still in pre-flower but about to show bud burst , I gave her another wee trim to allow more light into the center of the plant . I want light to get to all the emerging bud sites . This is because my grow space is limited for height so I want to present a wide flat growing canopy to the light. This strain appears to want to grow up through the central cola so I may have retarded the veg grow stage a little with 3 separate FIM trimmings but I appear to be getting a desired result . We shall have to wait and see . No special feeding program just 5ml/litre Hydro in an Auto Pot setup .

LUCY appears to be flourishing ......she is off into flowering and stretching a little . Such an easy plant to grow. Took to my rough handling like a trooper . Lots of photos because this is the most interesting stage for me. The plant has developed its structure now , Now we can see her put on some weight and flower up ! No special feeding . Will give a feed of flower boost this coming week . Enjoy the photos and please comment .
