Nov 2-8
Nov 2, Cooler temps this week have not slowed the growth at all. Starting to form a few budlets, and the ladies are showing off their impressive growth spurts even still. I am concerned that they will continue stretching and I may have problems with height. I will need to defoliate this week and maybe a little more training to keep them from hitting the roof lol.
Nov 3, Big defoliation today. I took everything below the trellis and removed ALL larf in the lower parts. The airflow beneath the canopy has much better movement and the plants will hopefully put those resources to the top. The canopy is still about 6-8" thick and thats just fine with me because there is very little light hitting the floor. I took a few of the big fans that I felt might be impeding development. This also improved airflow, as well as light penetration. I have noticed a positive response when I did this before so I was fairly comfortable doing it again. I was going to fertigate today but the pots felt moist and the humidity was 60% so I will let them recover from the stress and give them a nice big drink tomorrow.
Nov 4, Fed 40 liters with very little runoff, will feed again in 2 days to avoid PH Problem. (suspect early stage mag def on one, not worsening, just keeping an eye on it)
Nov 6, 40 more liters today, everything looks great, and budlets forming, the three branches I super cropped are perking back upward and should begin to heal up soon. still slowly stretching, but noticeably less having defoliated. The removal of some fan leaves slowed the stretch as intended.
