Planted the seeds in a 4x4 tent in 7 gal fabric pots with Botanicare coco. Moistened a small spot off center in the pot with 3 oz of water and planted the seeds, covered them to keep moisture level high. I expect to see some sprouts in a couple days. Will just mist to keep Rh up. I have them under a 600w Vivosun LED, I will be using a full line from a local nutrient company. I plan to use 1 LED (277 true watts) for veg and 2 flower (554w) for flower. If that doesn’t give me the results I’d expect I’ll switch my setup and run an HPS for flower next time. I plan to do some LST and maybe a topping. I picked these strains for control of IBS muscle spasms and PTSD. I’m really looking forward to running these genetics and having the opportunity to be a tester. Happy Growing🌱 UPDATE: Critical, White Widow and Northern Lights broke ground after 3 days. The OG should be up tomorrow, I can see the stem starting to poke through the coco.

Day 7: I Haven’t run anything in pure coco in a while and may have fed a bit too early. I only used the rooted clone mix, but the critical looks a bit beaten up. I always seem to have trouble the first week or so, but then things pick up. Had some trouble with the photos I’m doing right now too. I have just been misting and keeping the temps and RH up. I’m looking for a local store that sells exhale CO2 to give that a try, or TNB if that’s the only option. I raised up the light to hopefully get a bit of stretch. The photos are stacked right on top of each other. Idk how the critical is going to do, so I started a Fastbuds AK and Bubblegum in FFOF coco and perlite in 5 gal nursery pots to see if that mix is easier to start. They’ll just need plain water for a while. I may just add it to this diary or start a new one. So for now we just watch and see what happens.... Happy Growing 🌱

Day 14: I fed this week with the week 1 nutes at full strength- 650 ppm. I added a exhale 365 To one tent and a tnb naturals CO2 in the other to bump up co2 levels and they’re liking it. I still haven’t decided if I’m going to start a new diary for the AK and Bubblegum, but they’re coming along nicely in the FFOF, coco peat mix for week 1. I moved the keepers to the other tent to veg out and not steal the light from these girls. I did some research and have been watering about every 3 days and that’s working well. The lower humidity has seemed to really help with growth. Im pleased with how things are coming along. So far so good.... Happy Growing 🌱

Day 21: I’m thinking this grow is going kinda slowly, I’m a total idiot for using coco, as the last time it didn’t go awesomely. I have more experience with watering sunshine #4 and clones rather than seeds in coco. 🤦‍♂️ I did a heavy macro feeding at 2ml/L Micro, 4ml/L Bloom, 2ml/L Calmag as I haven’t really done a feeding in days. I rechecked the website for what the nutrient ph should be and they say 5.4-5.6 for hydro so I tried that and they responded better than the 6.2. I also lowered the light earlier in the week which they also liked. I raised the light an inch today as the new growth is slightly yellowing. I’m hoping I can turn this around before flowering starts and get some stretch. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱

Day 28: So this week I upped the watering to approx 24-36 hours with about 500 ppm per feeding with an occasional plain water flush. I also added the second vivosun 600. Each plant is responding differently to this regimen. All plants are recieving LST of the side branches and top. The NL is doing well, starting to stretch the way I want them all to so that I can open it up. The critical is doing nicely as well. The White widow has a bit of yellowing overall and edges of the fan leaves is yellowing and a bit of tip burn. The OG, which is a couple days behind the other 3, is a bit smaller, but coming along. The bubblegum and AK are doing their thing and can see roots poking out the bottom of a 5 gal plastic pot. Thinking I’ll see some good growth out of them soon. I bought a fan speed controller and humidity controller and that really seemed to help growth and transpiration as well. So far, no pistols showing, but I’m expecting to see some preflowers soon. Thanks to everybody who has sent me tips and tricks for coco and young plants. Happy Growing 🌱

Day 30: The Fastbuds seeds have turned around and are coming along nicely. I moved both vivosun 600w leds to the top of the tent and that is helping them to stretch and create bud sites. I put tomato cages to open up the side branches and they responded very well to it. Would you growers who are experienced with autos defoliate some of the leaves or let them do their thing? The plants will soon be starting to preflower. I don’t want to stunt them, but if it will benefit like it does to photos, I’m game. These plants are getting watered about 1-1.5 L per day, I have been feeding about 500-625 ppm and a ph of 5.3-5.6, which seems to be working for them. There is noticeable daily growth from most plants. The plants in the 7 gal fabric pots of coco are just showing their first pistils at node sites and clustered leaves at tops while the 5 gal plastic pots of soilless are already showing numerous pistils at the tops. The OG is the smallest, but broke ground 2-3 days after the Critical, White widow and Northern Lights. It seems to require less light, so it is moved to the corner as best as I can. It is starting to stretch out a little bit more, but is very leafy. I’m glad to see that these plants are doing better than 2 weeks ago and looking forward to see what happens next. Happy Growing 🌱

Hi I am wondering what you experienced auto growers would do. I am starting to have stretch and a few preflowers showing. Would you defoliate, if so to what extent. Bottom 10”, upper fans, etc. On photos I would, but idk with autos and dont want to stunt them too much. Thanks

I defoliate my autos all the time and it is very beneficial. The key to it is to not take a lot at once to prevent stress, and I normally remove anything in the shadows at the bottom and any large fan leaves that cover any flower sites.

Flower has finally begun. They have been stretching for a while now, but really getting at it now. There’s little buds starting to form all over. There is a product in the nutrient line called Red Sun that accelerates the switch to flower. It is not a PGR and has been checked and approved by Health Canada, we’ll see how it works. I am still feeding with 2ml/l of micro and cal mag, 4ml/l of Bloom, 0.5ml/l of b vitamin and 0.5ml/l of hydrogen peroxide. Diluted to 800 ppm and ph to 5.3-5.5. They are liking that, so why mess with a good thing. Lights are at the top of the tent and the plants are growing up into them. I added the tomato cages last week and they are reacting well to being spread out. I did some light defoliation, about 8 leaves per plant mostly inside the inner ring of the cage to allow light down inside the plant. I am thinking of doing more after a couple days, don’t need any stress right now. Critical, White Widow, Northern lights and Bubblegum are approx the same size and growing well with roots poking up out of the coco and out the bottom of the fabric pot. AK is starting to stretch out but a bit behind and the OG being a low, light sensitive, bushy thing that idk what to do with to optimize its yield. All in all it’s going well and we’ll see what happens. Happy Growing 🌱

Last week ended with a bit of problem solving. There was so much foliage on these plants that it was starting to get very humid. It was to the point where my exhaust fan was on constantly trying to drop the RH, but in turn the temps were around 73. I decided to defoliate the bottoms, and large fans to reduce The RH and so far it has worked, including turning the veg tent up to 750 w which acts as a heater for my flower tent. 🤞 They seem quite happy with the ppm range of the feed I’ve been giving. The 900 ppm was at the top end as one plant got a bit of slight tip burn. I have started adding just a bit more Cal mag as the NL has a touch of purple on the fan stems. Idk if that from cal mag deficiency or low temps, and extra 1 ml/gal isn’t going to hurt til I can find out, especially in coco. Other wise, I’m just feeding every 24-36 hrs with 675 +/- ppm with 1ml/L Micro and cal mag (plus a bit extra) 2ml/L Bloom, 0.5/L b vitamin, 1ml/gal of hydrogen peroxide. I am going to be adding resin by Green Planet and see how that works. I’ve been tucking the leaves I can and removing the ones covering bud sites. There seems to be pretty good growth everyday and just trying to keep this going til the end. I’m in the process of getting a rosin press so I’m super pumped to see how this turns out. Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱

Week 3: Well I say week 3, but it’s tough when you have 6 plants that all started flowering at different times. The Bubblegum is the furthest along and is definitely in week 3, where as the OG and the AK are the latest to start. I am going to have to keep doing defoliation as these big bitches are pumping out tons of humidity and is causing my exhaust fan to go constantly and lowering my temps to mid 70s. Once I defoliate RH drops to -/+ 50% and temps bump to 82. This will be ok with photos but we’ll see how these autos turn out. They don’t seem to be too stressed by it for more than a day or 2 so 🤞 I’m feeding 1ml/L Micro 1.25/L cal mag 2/L Bloom 0.5/L b vitamin 2/L rezin 3 tsp/ 20L bud fusion, 1 ml/gal H2O2 and diluting that to 800-1100 ppm depending on previous results and ph 5.3-5.6. The smell is crazy when the door is open, no terpenes specifically just powerful skunky goodness. I’m wondering if the added Green Planet Rezin is cause of that. The trichomes exploded after the second application. Overall just waiting and watering every 24-36 hrs, they have started drinking more so that frequency may increase. I’m glad the stretch is done cuz the NL and critical are within 18 of the light and stacked nicely. Looking forward to seeing what happens in the next couple weeks. That’s all for this week. Week 4: This week has been pretty chill, just watering every 24-36 hours. Watering volume has increased to approximately 2 L. The plants are requiring different amounts of water and nutrient needs and are obviously in different stages of flower. I would say in the 2 Auto grows that I’ve done, that is the biggest problem with them in general. That is why I like photos, I pick when they at least start getting 12/12, not flip whenever they’re wanting. It may be easier with a organic grow where you just water and they uptake what they need for where they are. I’ve been feeding all in ml/L 1 Micro 2 Bloom 1.5 cal mag 0.5 B vitamin 0.5 H2O2 1.5 Rezin 2 Grotek Heavy Bud pro 1.25 grams/L Bud Fusion Comes out to about 1050 ppm Then a cal mag, molasses, B vit every couple days like a bit of a flush. As you can see, AK, Bubblegum and white widow are further along, NL has started stacking up and and critical is slow moving along with OG. Idk if that due to defoliation causing some stunting or environmental effects of high RH and low temps or just different phenos and strains, either way things are coming along. I haven’t identified any specific terpenes, but it’s got a solid musk when I open the tent up. Pic1/2: Critical Pic 3/4: Northern Lights Pic 4/5: White Widow Pic 6/7: OG Pic 8/9: AL Pic 10/11: Bubblegum (My diary won’t let me add info on the pic) Overall happy with how things are progressing and if you have any comments or tips I’d be happy to listen and look into them. So as I’ve said in previous weeks, these 6 plants are all over the map as far as where they are in flower. The AK, Bubblegum and White Widow are the furthest along and are kicking out trichomes all the place, whereas the Critical, Northern Lights and OG Kush are a ways behind. The smell when the tent is opened up is incredibly potent and has a combined smell of berry fruitiness with an undertone of pungent musk. It’s intoxicating!! The buds are coming along on everything and I may have to tie up the NL and critical. They have potential to snap. Hopefully they pack on some good weight 🤞 I am continuing to feed daily with the odd flush. Idk if it’s the light or a mild N toxicity, But the fans seem dark green with purple stems on some, along with a bit of tip burn and yellowing veins. I have been adding extra cal mag, and today added 1 tsp/gal of Epsom salt. It’s hard for me to tell, as I usually have some kind of issue in early flower and my fans usually yellow quite a bit. Otherwise just watering and watching. Thanks for checking in. Happy Growing 🌱

Week 6: I have white “stuff” on pots (Last 2 pictures)and I’m not sure what it is. I wiped it off with my hand, it doesn’t smell musty like mildew or salty like synthetic nutrient residue. I read on a couple forums that it’s most likely residue. Does anyone know how to find out for sure. I am so close to finishing and don’t want to end up with a shit ton of root rot or something that ruins my crop. I was thinking about spraying the pots and doing a thorough watering with 4% hydrogen peroxide, just in case it’s some kind of bacteria and if it’s residue it’ll get a nice flush. I had to stake up the Northern Lights, when I moved it the branches were swaying like crazy. I also had to tie a bunch of branches on other plants to the cages. My arms were sticky after tying all that up. When I open the tent up the room is full of amazing scent. Continuing with the same watering/ feeding schedule as pervious weeks. I’m thinking I may try to use a bit less water per day as I’m getting a lot of runoff and I have to haul water. Picture 1&2-Critical 2&3-OG Kush 4&5-AK 6&7-White Widow 8&9- Bubblegum 10-12 Northern Lights Other than that just cruising along. Happy Growing 🌱

Week 7: Things have been cruising along this week. I have lowered the temps and Rh in an attempt to increase flavors, aromas, terpenes and trichomes production. They are running 80-82 F and and 43-47%. For some reason the huge NL and Critical aren’t packing on the trichs but what can you do. I am waiting for all these to fatten and firm up. I have been doing a mostly water only flush As my ppms range from 800 in the AK and BG and 1600-2300 in the ww, OG, Critical and NL with all PH ranges around the 5.8 mark. I know I have to get those ppms down this late in flower. I have used occasional resin, molasses and ripening agents to help these finish well. The critical and NL are having some kind of leaf issue, if anybody has any tips I’d love to hear. Otherwise things have been going pretty well, just want these beasts to be done so I can get going with my next round. This is way longer than I thought autos could go and my stash is getting thin. AK, WW and BG starting to darken from the cooler night time temps. Also is that foxtailing on the NL or is that how this pheno could grow?? Thoughts on going down to 1 of the 600w LEDs to finish up these last 2 ish weeks? Trichomes seem to be mostly cloudy, I will be flushing next week if everything looks right. Take care during this crazy time everyone and Happy Growing🌱

Hi, I have a few questions. If you could leave your answer or follow up question thats cool too. 1)Leaf condition in week 13 pic Nute burn or deficiency? 2)How many weeks til flush and harvest? Pics in wk13 3)Foxtailing or kush type pheno? Should I reduce to 1 light? Wk13 pics

1) it seems to me a lack of magnesium, burnt tips and curls upwards, black spots and yellowing between the veins of the leaves but at this stage I would not apply any solution to correct. 2) I think about 5-7 days and will be at the point of flush, until then just giving water 3) the more lumens you have better results but be careful with the temperature

Week 8: I am just watching and waiting at this point, trying to get the best and most product I can. I fed with 600-700 ppms of molasses, resin, sea weed extract and bloom nutes last week as a way to lower medium ppms slowly while still giving a light feeding of what they’d need. This week will be water only for most of it til I notice some fade. I am at a point where I think the AK, Bubblegum and white widow are close so they will be flushed and finished to keep the Sativa effects. The others will flower for another week or 2 as the critical is a 10 week strain. Some of the trichomes look like they’re starting to Amber and 50-75+% of the pistils are darkened. I’m going to try to let the medium dry for days between flushes and see if that causes more trichome production and 72 hour dark period prior to harvest and see what the results are. I bought a rosin press, so trich production is even more important to me now. We’ll see how this end up in the next bit. Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱

The end is near. I have been flushing for about a week, first off with florokleen to remove a lot of the salts, then just with water and a couple times with resin and molasses. They have faded out pretty well, some better than others. They are now sitting in complete darkness for a total of 48-72 hours. I don’t know scientifically if it increases trichomes Or potency, but I haven’t found any research that it is harmful so.....I’m gonna do it. So harvest day is Tuesday!! In the past I have harvested “too late” when there’s a lot of Amber and I’m looking for a more potent product this time. I don’t think I’m too early. Trichomes are all cloudy as far as I can tell with some darkening/Amber on the sugar leaves. It’s tough to know the exact week each plant is in as they started all over the place, a definite con to autos in my opinion. I am very pleased with the varying results of these @Fast_Buds autos and look forward to growing more in the future. 5,6,7: AK 8,9,10: OG 11,12,13: Critical 14,15,16,17: Northern Lights 18,19,20: Bubblegum 21,22,23: White Widow

For some big ass buds, they dried down a ton. There isn’t much there as far as weight. Can you think of any reasons why the buds would feel quite dense wet, but now that they’re dry they are very airy. 👎🏻Dried 6 days 70 F RH 50%, light air circ and exhaust fan running. Thanks

Very potent, earthy, musk and woodsy aroma to buds. When broken open/ground or exhaled the aroma changes to a piney menthol forward flavor. Not my favorite terpene profile. Effects are nice and 50/50. Body is relaxed, mind is chill. Can still have conversations and preform tasks haha. No couch lock unless that’s what you want, but a short hike or walking the dogs would also be enjoyable. I love fishing and this would be a go to for that. I really like the effects of this strain, but the terpenes and flavor was not great. I am planning to press a lot of rosin so flavor is priority of mine. I am excited to try the other testers to see if there’s a pheno with a better flavor. This plants was easy to trim, easy to grow, has spongey structure. Overall ended up with 540 grams from 2-277 watt leds. I’m quite pleased. Thanks FastBuds for allowing to test these out.

This specific seed seemed to have trouble from go. My wife and I love OG kush and will for sure grow the other 2 testers out to see what the outcome is. The smell is great, the plant just had a ton of leaves which required defoliation which in turn shocked the generally weaker seed. The taste and effect are very nice, and would love for the next ones to be the same with better buds. Total from the tent I got 540 grams under 2- 277 watt leds. Im pretty pleased about that.
