First week of Permafrost! I've heard good things about this little one! I'm glad everything worked out easily in the first week too, because I only had 2 beans! I'm pretty happy with the first 7 days of growth from seed, over the weekend I'll probably end up transplanting to a 1gal felt pot! The goal is to use this plant, as well as the California Orange for seed projects! We will see how it goes.
Week 2, big week for Permafrost. Transplant into 2 gallon, topped, and getting ready to be trained. Looking forward to the coming weeks. Swapped to Green Leaf Nutrients "MEGA CROP" 1 part NPK nutrient I like the idea of having something easy not a ton of mixing. Lets see how it goes. Until next week!
Week 3 went well. Spreading her out nice, removed some of the larger fan leaves to make sure that there's heavy light pen and the chutes can all develop. Happy with her so far :) Until next week
Week 4 went fine, defoliated her since she grows so dang bushy. Flipping this week changing lights to 12/12 looking forward to keeping these plants small, but training for some good bud.
Enjoying how the Permafrost is turning out. She grows short, and very bushy. I'm keeping her very small, and trying to keep symmetry/nodes high. Should be a nice little bud wielder when it's all said and done.
Continuing the training as she's on 12/12 light schedule. She's growing, but I'm keeping her tied down, and short. Expecting some bud formations this next week.
Alright so in the last week we dusted the Permafrost with some G13xHP pollen. Hope it takes.
Bud has started to form nicely, and training is prettymuch done. I'm just doing some defoliation here and there for some penetration.
There's not a lot of information on this strain, and I'm not even sure it's actually Permafrost as the source is unknown (got beans from friend in the i502 industry)
Hoping for nice thick buds in the end.
So, I was told this seed was "Permafrost" I wasn't told any more information about it, and I am no longer in contact with the person who gave it to me. The bud appeal for this strain is wonderful, dense, and covered buds with purple hues. The yield, however, is pathetic. Haha no worries. This was just me testing the strain out nothing more.
Plant grew easily, but slowly. It also didn't get very big at all, especially for the size of the pot. It was very bushy, super dense plant. Lots of small dense buds with lots of leaves that had to be removed for penetration. Buds were purple and covered in trichomes. Super pretty plant. The yield and smoke however and not memorable. Overall a fun grow though, and a nice night cap smoke for while I have it. Probably wont grow again. I do have another seed though.. maybe I'll pop it to see if theres another Pheno in the future time will tell.
@CodyCannabis, thanks, they seem to illuminate the whole tent quite well and evenly.. especially when tilted this way. Is that a 2x2 (judging by the size of the light to the width of the tent)?
I'm currently trying to find a good lighting-setup for a 2x2 flowering tent, that would do the same without creating any hotspots, so i've ruled out the dual-cobs and unfortunately also the qb96, but such a dual-QB setup (and then obviously dimmed down by quite a bit) might fit the bill quite nicely. Might be a bit overkill and not the cheapest solution, but a good option.
The HLG are difficult to get here in Europe, but i've seen quantum boards rated at 120w and two of them dimmed down could fit the bill (and can be reused for bigger spaces as well).
Hello from Russia. Your plants look great! Keep developing in the same spirit! If you are interested in following the Russian grass subscribe to my diary!
@Mosherd7, It could be the strain, maybe, but part of it is the topping, and the training of the initial branches lots of wind and movement young will force them to thicken up! Thanks for the comment though buddy!
@@HiddenColorado, I didn't really set any set in stone goals for these ladies. Cali O is in a 1gal, Permafrost is in a 2gal. I expect something like 3oz each though, we will see.
