My diary will focus on the one week old sprout in the 2 gal clay pot. The 6 week old in the decorative pot ( Don't say it, please! ) was my training/learning experiment. Biggest mistake was probably using Miracle Gro potting soil. Now I know it retains moisture too well without adding perlite. After week 3 I tried to feed by adding a 1/2 tsp per gal of GHE Flora Bloom Series. I got brown leaf tips pretty quickly but didn't yet know I could flush it, now I'm afraid to try because of the poor drainage. I fed 48 hour old tap water after week 5 and I' have some brown leaf tips but 2 of the largest fan leaves have a rusty looking appearance. Any advice is welcome! Anyway, enough with the old and on with the new. It's going to be about the new sprout from here on. It's another Blue Dream Auto. I just got in a PH/moisture reader and some PH Up and PH Down. I'll be checking the 20% run off. I used Fox Farm Happy Frog and added 20% perlite. I germinated in paper towel and planted 2 days later, with the sprout braking dirt on Sunday March 22 so I'm a couple days late for 1st week reporting. Super good drainage with the added perlite and I've given it 8 oz of tap twice.

2 weeks old today and looks good. Soil drains nicely compared to my "practice pot". No nutes yet. PH nice right at 6.5 in run off. Practiced tying down branches on the practice pot and I'll LST the new little guy at week 3. I'd like to have 3 pots going at a time once I've demonstrated some proficiency with training. Kind of wish I'd bought that 6 foot tent but this 2 by 2 by 4 is just right for a our apartment. I assume once I have a leaf I've transitioned to veg stage??? ** Ordered a 3 In 1 TDS EC PPM Multifunctional Water Quality Meter Tester Pen LCD Display but won't have it till the 16th.

Picked up some nice growth for the week. I'll be going to 3 gal pot for sure from here on. I'm thinking I can handle 3 pots in my little 2*2*4. Did chaos LST with the practice plant at around 6 1/2 weeks. Going to try and shape this grow from here.

Easy week, flowering for sure. Fed once and watered once. When I feed I use enough to get just a little run off. When I water w just water I give a good half gallon for a good run off and ph read. Temps holding good with nights 73,74 and days 77, 78. I'm using the rheostat on the 4 inch fan (exhausting) to control the temp. It's an air conditioned Florida apartment at 74. I didn't do any further LST and when I tried to push the "stake" in a bit more the stalk pulls it right back up so I'm thinking use ties for any further LST. As always I welcome any advice, comments or feedback.

I see I either overfed or over watered, losing 2 lower fan leaves. Had good growth this week. The cola doesn't want to bend again yet so I staked down 2 branches and I think that will be it for traiining.

I'm not sure if I over watered or if I over fed. Plant lost some bottom leaves and took a few days to dry out. Watered yesterday and almost dry today. I have to laugh because I've included 4 quick pics of my "practice/learning" plant and it's thriving. Wrong pot, wrong dirt, didn't feed till week 9 for bloom. Hope my little 2 gal pot takes off this week.
