Germinating 5 of each seeds to determine viability of feminized seeds.
Took clones from mama Africa 2 for monstercropping. 3 April 2020
Germination on my own hybrid femminized seed is 100 % (PHEW ) tHE CLONES ALL DIED .wIll have to rethink equipment on clones.Growing seedlings in window sill as its getting really cold outside.I doubt if ill be able to get them to spring to plant outdoors.at least i know that my seeds are viable.
Transplanted succesfully.Plants are now outdoors in natural light.will see how the experiment works.All 3 cali o plant are different even though the parent plants are the same.Will have to grow out a large number of these plants to start Phenotyping.
Not much in terms of height growth this week but plants are bushing up a bit.Still feeding nutrifeed and Limestone ammonium nitrate.Plants are in reveg but still have flower pistels.Temperatures are dropping sharply to 0 deg at night.The plants are staying outside in sheltered spot and gets carried to sunlight early every morning.This experiment could get interesting to see what the plants will do as far as growth period ,size and actual flowering.😒
Re vegged plants still showing pistils. Will they continue growing as veg or flower or they in limbo until harvest. Dont know how to clasify them at moment veg or flowering.What could be expected.Never had this situation before..can i fim and lst at this stage .

What I understand the pistils are just sign of sexual maturity and normally they show when switched to flowet but for example ive seen some clones show pistils very early in veg 'cos actually the plant is much older than the roots.
So I think that there will be pistils even after transition back to veg but it does not mean it is still flowering.
This is my hunch on this
Temperatures are getting pretty extreme for a outdoor grow.The plants get carried into the house every evening but are doing really well.There is some strange leaf growth on big red from revenging but it is revenging nicely.Starting moving out of the reveg stage back into full flower
Winter has arrived in full swing.Temps are really low but the girls are handling it very well.The black poison is showing me a finger with single finger leaves.

I think she's revegging and must've been for awhile by the looks of it.
I think you are not giving them that 12hrs of complete darkness 'cos this is happening or you gave them too much of shock so she started to reveg.
Not much happening.its flippen freezing at night.i just leave the girls out and they are actually handling the cold very well.Growth has slowed dow to almost none but they ere starting to make proper little buds.
Apart from shitty wheather the girls are doing fine.The big red has completely revegged with no flower growth.im hoping to take her through the entire winter and then putting her in the garden in soil.
The girls are having a good time with the slightly better weather. One of the California orange plants decided it OK to herm on me.Had to move the plant to a different location where she cant pollinate anything.
I used some feminized pollen from my large indica to pollinate the black poison and one California orange. I hope the seeds will be done before the actual growing season kicks in in a couple of months.
I dont expect a helluva harvest but if i can get a couple of seeds for the next grow it would have been worth it.These plants are really hardy as they survived a harsh winter.
The star this week has to be the reveg.Its the only plant that is doing the thaang in a visible way.Shes hit the stretch.Not a pretty sight but shes gonna give a lot of happiness.Heads up to big red go girl show em what you made of.
Decided to eventually clean up the girls.They are in full flower.Black poison is starting to show her colors.I cant wait for the full display.Temperatures are a lot better in the day but night temps are still hovering around zero deg c.
Hey I use purpinator to really bring out the natural colours of the girls. I find it works well with any nutes and you can really add it in near the end and watch the colours come out. I hope that helps and happy growing
This started out as a test just to see how the hybrid turned out.Its been a pleasure having the little bonsai girl around after growing a few monsters in summer.
this is one of the best strains i have ever grown.it was a kick to get it outdoors in minus temperatures and then to see it turn pitch black as harvest approached.then the curing and drying.this is one of the best if not the best plants i have ever smoked.its the total package.the rush from the sativa and the body effect from the 4 indicas.remember i then shoved it on a cheese from cape town .it was a seed test .i still have about 20 seeds to go apart from the ones i germinated already on the african summer grow.so now to grow my f2 on these.
This girl is doing well in full flower.geuss its just a matter of weeks till harvest.This was my first monster cropp plant and something ill definately be doing again.
This girl is procastinating or something.So close yet so far.Istarted the f feeding of molasses and wil flush from next week on.She is a beutifull specimen but its time i finish this diary as it is spring and my attention is needed on the other girls for the african summer grow.it was worth the effort growing this girl through a seriosly harch winter outdoors.shes a star even if shes making me waiiiiiiit and waiiiiit.
This plant flowered as soon as winter started.I put it back inside at 18/6 and she revegged lovely.In spring i stuch her outside again and she went for it,A reallly pleasent smoke with a great earthy taste and smell.
