Maiden Voyage

Kountry67 So this is my first cannabis grow ever. My grow room is still coming alone. Started out with light at different heights. It seemed like everywhere I looked there was a different opinion of how far above the plants an led light should be. So if anyone sees anything that I’m doing wrong please hit me up and tell me.

Kountry67 For the second week still playing with light distances. Almost got the watering schedules figured out. Started wondering if my plants were behind. #2 has been slower since germination. Brought in a fan to blow air constantly on plants for stalk strength.

Kountry67 Tried moving the lights a little closer at the beginning of the week. On days 17 & 18 started noticing a little rolling up on east west leaves on #1. As well as some yellowing of the leaves on #2. I kept coming up with heat stress and the most likely culprit. So I set my lights to the manufacturers specs for seedlings and veg plants. So now I’m just seeing how it’s gonna play out. I guess being new at this I have had some trial and error. But it’s all knowledge gained so hopefully these errors won’t happen again.

Kountry67 So as of now I’m only 2 days into week 4. And I’m starting to wonder if my plants are getting behind. I have read that growth picks up speed when they’re no longer seedlings. I’m gonna say that they are on day 2 of not being seedlings. So I will be back at the end of the week to finish out this update. So day 3 of week 4 in the pots. For the last 2 weeks or so I’ve been noticing some leaf tacoing as well as leaf edges turning yellow. So earlier today I noticed that as well as leaves starting to roll down leaf edges are turning brown and are kinda crispy at the tips. So I have buried myself in research trying to figure out what is causing all this. I’m just about positive that I have it worked out. And what I’m gonna have to do to get it fixed is gonna be a monumental task for me as this is my very first grow indoors or out. I figured out that being the newbie that I am I planted these girls in the worst possible choice of soil that I could have found.... Miracle-Gro... that keeps feeding my plants the same ratio of fertilizer for 6 mos. It made me sick to my stomach. So I’m getting ready to completely transplant these to to a completely new home. All new soil and a bigger bucket. I figure this should either fix my problems or I’m gonna be forced to pop 2 more and try again. I’ll give updates as I get them.

Kountry67 Starting this week off with hopes that my problems are over with the burnt looking leaves. They’re slowly looking better. So we shall see.
