Day 97 for the two Aurora Indica. In reference to my clone generation, the first pictured is ‘A,’ the second pictured is ‘B.’ The first is taller and less bushy, perhaps wider leaf fingers, and is exhibiting the same leaf curling under nutes. The second is much bushier and off branching. Both are looking bigger.
I made a veg tea at the start of the week. I took 2 cups blood and bone meal, 2 cups alfalfa meal compost, 2
worm castings, 1 cup Myke Flower mycorrhizae and 1 tablespoon of blackstrap molasses, and mixed it with 20 Liters of water. I pulsed it through the day with a concrete mixer/drill, and let it steep overnight. The next day I diluted and watered. I think it was a bit strong at first, but it rained, and I think things are fine. I showed the thickening stalks, not bad for 5-6 hours of sunlight. But, if you aren’t one of the outdoor gurus, Hellishjam, AnneJ, or Butterstotch, its outdoor amateur hour.
The projected high today was 27 degrees Celsius, the daytime length is 15hours21minutes.
When you mention a hard leaf fade and maintaining nitrogen at the end what is your thinking? I’ve wondered about adding some N during late flowering but I’ve read that make the buds too loose. It feels like I could do more for flowering but I want to stay organic. I haven’t tried aerated compost teas yet so I guess that’s the next thing to try.
I’m at 53N (Edmonton) and I think I will mostly stick with autos as the sunlight fades too quickly in the fall for photoperiods. Frost isn’t the real problem here but lack of sun. Force flowering works but covering or moving plants everyday is a pain in the ass. You were dedicated moving it daily. Good job.
