This seedling was 7 weeks old and was intentionally kept small in a 12oz solo cup before I put her in the mix.
Her leaves are more sativa-like, which I like.
When I put her in I top dressed with EWC, MBP and neem. I coated the room with DE and watered with bti.
Week 1 doesn't show much. Slow growth as her roots spread. No problems though. Gnats are less than last round.
I don't think I'll be mulching in veg any longer either. I don't know if it's helping with the gnat problem... but something sure it.
I changed my mix up a little from last plant and it's been beneficial as growth is explosive in week 4/5 with zero deficiencies.
This time:
I changed my base mix from 3/3/3/1 coir/EWC/perlite/biochar to 4/3/3 coir/ewc/perlite (removed biochar from the base)
I increased my basalt, glacial, gypsum and OSF to .5 cups per cubic foot from .25
I added insect frass at .125 cups per cubic foot
I upped my MBP from .125 to .25 cups per cubic foot
I added DE at .0625 cups per cubic foot
I added .5 cups of biochar per gallon
I'll be upping the biochar to 4 cups a cubic foot and my basalt/glacial/gypsum/OSF to .75 cups per cubic foot for the next run. I'll also be changing my base mix to 6/2/2 coir/ewc/perlite.
