*Day 1 give or take a week or so starting indoors. Been so frickin cold and finally the weather is warming up, only for a ton of rain to pour over the next 2 days. So pics are from yesterday when I planted them in the ground. . . well at least Glookies is. My other attempts will be done via 98G garbage cans that have had some air holes drilled into them.
This was sent as Durban Poison and not Early Durban as listed, and so the name will stay that way
Day 10 yesterday we had the first real taste of summer. Hot, hazy, humid and pop up T-Storms that will drop buckets upon buckets of rain. You can see from yesterday’s picks that they took it, but look at my little girls today. Handled those downpours like a champ. Plus my neighbour informed us that they have someone coming by soon to trim back a good chunk of her backyard trees. So my girls should be getting a lot more sunshine very soon
Day 14 sorry for the late updates. As you can see I have bought a few plant labels to help keep track of everyone for the time being. It doesn’t effect Glookies but my other 4 outdoor gals just got a huge dose of sunlight. That big chunk of tree I thought that was being removed next door, turned into the entire tree coming down. So it will be interesting to see how their growth goes in week 3 and beyond
Day 15 well DB must be a tasty strain, now if the bugs could stop eating it on me. That would be f@*king great you little bastards
Day 16 had cur great lawn and added some clippings to the tops. Worked last year on some plants to grow (guess some nitrogen in their) and should sweep into the soil nicely over the next 2 days with some rain on the way. Just wish Blueberry would improve soon as I’m getting a little nervous/worried on her growth
Day 19 pretty warm or dare I say Hot past couple of days. Thought a small watering with some Mega Crop was in order. Should be fun to see what MC can do for an outdoor grow
Day 22 had rain a few nights back and waited for the soil to dry just a bit before giving them a watering with Mega Crop. Hopefully this will get my Blueberry and Glookies a motoring, but the Glookies area is being invaded by the Raspberry Plant that started on the outside of its bin. Hopefully it won’t rob it of nutrients and root space and allow it to reach at least half its growth potential.
Day 26 sorry for the late update. Just got the tail end of that tropical storm and so everyone was covered up last night. My plants are too tall now and will have to bare whatever punishment Mother Nature throws at them from now on. Sort of bent the tops on everyone so tomorrow’s picks should look much more photogenic
Day 27 ok a few things done today but not really pictured. I have pretty much topped everyone at either the 5th or 6th node. Only ones not topped were Blueberry and Glookies, but hopefully by next week, it can be done. Also gave everyone another drink with MC. They seem to like their first drink of it last week and hope for more of the same with tomorrow’s pic.
Day 35 and holy shit are we ever hot outside, but they seem to be loving it. Well it could also be because we had some big tree limbs removed last week and are just seeing more sunlight. The Glookies and Blueberry are finally on the right path and have shown some great growth this week. . . finally. So I’m upping their drink with MC to 2G per plant today. Probably get another watering tonight as the suns starts to go down and my sister waters he veg garden outside.
Day 38 got some good rain today and the plants have been loving this hot and humid weather so far. Will probably make a Mega Crop watering later this week when we have another round of hot and dry weather. Probably make a MC watering once every week from here on out. Maybe up things when we make the switch to flowering in early August
Day 41 well they are starting to get some nice tall limbs. So I thought with my tomato cages I would try a little bit of training see if I can get some new upward growth with the new nodes popping up. Should be fun to watch over the coming weeks to see if the training pays off. Might of trained a bit too hard on one of my Durban Poison limbs on the right side (propping up with a branch that my dog will hopefully ignore)
Day 43 I meant to do this last week but I did my watering with MC today. My training seems to be working out nicely too. Lots of upwards growth from the inner nodes with the exposure they are getting from the pulled backed limbs from the new training. Might top them once more later this week or next, if they continue their steady growth
Day 53 FUCK IT’S HOT!!! Thankfully everyone is still going strong, as my sister gives them a good drink every 2 days. Did a bit more training to AP, JH, DP, Glookies and Blueberry with my foam green wire. I think by the end of this week or next I will not do anymore training and just them do their thing and grow upwards.
Day 54 well I gave everyone a small watering with MC today and finally used a measuring tape (and not my eyes) to guess how tall everyone was. So I took photos of everyone at the highest stretching for their final height above
Day 59 I have added more soil to the tops of my Alaskan Purple, Jack, Durban, and Blueberry because my roots decided it wanted to show some legs. Also did just a bit more LST training to my Black Domina and Glookies, both of them. Might be the last of my training as I don’t think I could get anything better growth wise from here.
Day 67 not really much to say with the girls. They were thirsty yesterday, and today Mother Nature is pouring just buckets upon buckets of rain on them for me. Will try to take new measurements sometime this week or next, because that Unknown Fruity Pebbles plant is stretching like crazy and she is showing Female flowering pistils already. So HURRAY I don’t need to give her the chop, but is she ever looking Sativa like in her structure.
Day 75 ok I have a few things too confess. First I gotta admit that I have let the girls dry up a bit this week, but when they warn of downpours happening sometime that day. I play it safe then sorry and I’m sorry plants, the weather network lied. Still can’t get out of the heat, but some relief coming maybe next week. So last night the kids were all given a drink from the hose and you can see they responded nicely today, then I went around and gave them some Mega Crop today as I was seeing yellowing leaves. Even though the past 2 weeks said I used MC, I didn’t. Although I think I will be be doing it for sure once a week from now on with the switch upon us. Should be fun too see if there is any changes to everyone tomorrow
Day 82 been meaning to give them their weekly feeding of Mega Crop but I have been sideline in doing so because they were getting some outer bands in Souther Ontario from Hurricane Isaias with torrential downpours, some wind and T-Storms. Finally after 2 days of dry weather, they got their feeding. As you can also with today’s update, their new official height. The runts/slow starters Glookies and Blueberry are now my #2&3 plants in height.
Day 84 and aren’t they looking a little sad today. I would of thought with the cooler weather we have had for the past 2-3 days, downpours from a couple days ago and my little feeding 2 days ago that they would be fine u TIL our next set of storms come in tomorrow night or on Monday. So everyone was given a good drink of water from the hose and then I went around with my watering can to feed them some Mega Crop as well. Everyone should look much happier with the start of the new week of pics.
Day 86 oh boy do they look dry. Well it was a scorcher of a day and I might as well do my Mega Crop feeding. Didn’t want to over do it either as they are warning of downpours/storms coming in tomorrow weather wise. Also found more white mildew on my Rainbow Kush, and was quickly removed. I’m kind of worried that I might not get too far with her flower wise, if these hot humid days keep persisting
Day 90 decided they were dry enough to get a watering of Mac today and I started to add some bud explosion to their feed as well. So tomorrow’s pictures could produce some interesting results. Cause some are really stacking up nicely and can already say they will be some chunky ass colas when they finish.
Day 94 and new measurements are in from 49.25” to 60” so +10.75”
Day 95 and the leaves were starting to droop and so I thought it was the perfect time to give them a watering with nutrients. I didn’t even bother with my Rainbow Kush plant. I’ll keep taking pictures but I’ve pretty much have written it off 😢
Day 98 and more of a yesterday update. Last night before sunset (and after my updated post here) I decided to give them all another nutrient watering. Had the hot, hazy and humid weather coming in again this weekend and they seem to drink a lot during this time. Look happy today and maybe a little stretch in DP, and BB
Day 100 Everyone looking a little thirsty today. So I waited until an hour before sundown tonight and gave them all a good drink. Also decided to do their first round with nutrients, and lets see if they respond nicely tomorrow
Day 105 ok a little update from last night. Decided to water everyone last night with some nutrients before the “downpour of rain” was to come in. We got a shit load of lightning but no rain/watering whatsoever from last nights storms. Although me and the family did a ton of weeding yesterday and so the pics for everyone should look much more presentable, and dare I say bigger 😊
Day 109 Well the weather got warm again and so my plants got thirsty too. With that and lack of rain showers that we were suppose to get. I went ahead and gave everyone a good drink with nutrients included. Rainbow Kush is showing some signs of recovery but still a ton of unhealthy looking plant too. They did start budding, and everyone else is starting to show some good stacking happening. At least cooler weather is on the way and should help me out from any issues developing with them flowering, and maybe start getting some colour to come out too. Time will tell I guess
Day 117 And they were starting to look thirsty and so a watering with nutrients they got. Sadly I have a few issues popping up on mostly my Jack Herer and Durban Poison with what appears to be my nemesis this outdoor grow White Powdery Mildew. Thankfully it hasn’t gone the way Rainbow Kush did and located on backend by fence. Had a few nights of dew forming on the plants but no wind to dry them. Which has also allowed a few aphids appearing on them as well, but mostly on DB and again on the backend of the plants. At least the wind was picking up a bit tonight and pulled them a slight bit away from the fence too
Day 124 sorry for lack of updates recently. I’ve been a)too tired to do so b) too lazy or c) stoned off my ass. Anyways you can a few looking a little thirsty. Gave them a small sip from the hose but tomorrow I shall give everyone a nutrient watering. Also keeping an eye on Jack and Durban with my dreaded 2020 outdoor enemy White Powdery Mildew. So twice this week I have gone out and sprayed them down with water and 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar to keep things at bay. Looking better but will be doing a couple more applications I think. At least Rainbow Kush is flowering
Day 130 The Big Fucking Update. Yeah it’s been a few days and it’s because I couldn’t login to update anything until today and a different browser. Anyways I’ve pulled Jack Herer slightly away from everyone else for better air circulation in hopes it helps curb my wpm problem. Alaskan Purple on the other is looking gorgeous with it quickly going purple on me this week, and some purple on my Glookies reveg as well. Black Domina is just getting thicker and thicker looking and should hopefully be a couple of weeks away from harvesting. Which 8 look forward too and don’t because it’s going to take forever to do if my indoor girls were any indication.
Day 137 Yet another big fucking update posting. I’ve been having issues galore trying to update my journals here on various browsers and so here’s hoping I can post An update for everyone. Looks like by next week my Fruity Pebbles X Unknown, Black Domina and maybe Alaskan Purple could get the chop. Had a little rain today and a few days ago and the buds are soaking it like a sponge and branches are going everywhere. So I’m reinforcing here and there best I can until the end. God it’s going to be a pain in the ass for everything and was dreading it. So I went ahead and bought myself a TrimPro Motorized Trimmer. Says it can do 3-4lbs an hour and that is music to my ears, after Fruity Pebbles last year took me and 2 other people 10hrs to trim down to the buds. Also to anyone wondering about the indoor grow portion, they are coming down and just waiting to report
I haven’t abandoned my journals. I’m in the process of taking everyone down and waiting to give them a try before giving my finished report. Expect a couple over the coming weeks, as I wait my turn with the family to use the freeze dryer. Some are actually waiting their turn in my freezer but I should have a review up for Alaskan Purple, Black Domina and my Fruity Pebbles x Unknown cross. Plus a few tent gals I have yet to report on too. So enjoy a picture of my dog, it’s his 9th BDay today.
