Katsu Seeds Hotcakes

Doing a test grow for Katsu Seeds a cross of the great Katsu Bubba Kush X Burnt Toast. The Bubba was breed to a Burt Toast male. These babies popped very easily. I soaked them over night then planted them in solo cups and they were up in 4 days raring to go. Glad Katsu gave me a chance to test the babies and hope you guys enjoy the grow. Growing under 2 Kingbrite 240s.

Gave the plants a good feeding and boy did they take off they I do have 1 that is a clear front runner growth wise plant #1 is twice the size as the other plants. Going to do a Cultural Biologix Veg Tea and Big Foot Myco. to get a good recharge on the myco and microbes.

I gave them a veg tea from cultured biologix and a shot of big foot gold myco. @ days later they got there normal veg feeding . Doing the nectar feed feed tea, feed feed flush program. After this next feeding i will start foliar feeding them with some bloom khaos. Thanks for checking out my grow.

Gave the plants a myco/microbe inoculation Wens. then gave them a good flush later in the week and then gave them a good feeding. Pants 1 and 4 are very similar in grow as far as size and the look almost identical 3 is just a tad smaller. Plant 2 is starting to pick up speed a little growth wize may think its gonna be a shorter pheno. Plant 3 is kinda different it seems to be a little nute sensitive compared to the other 3 but shes doing better after i cut back on the nutes to about half strength. Got some xtreme gardening on the way gonna try those out when the arrive.

Sorry for the late update been a little busy and finally got a chance to snap some pics. Plant 1 and Plant 4 are almost equal in size and are growing almost identical. Same with plants 2 and 3 both are short and kinda bushy. Did have to increase the mag in them a little more than I normally do and since i did that they really took off plant 1 is 18 in tall and plant 4 is 20 inches tall. After next week I will be kicking them into flower and we will see what we got, as of right now i can tell for sure out of the 4 i have 3 females 1 is still undetermined lol. Ok so I just kicked these ladies into flower yesterday. Got the mag issue under control added some epsom salt and got some Cutting edge Mag amp'd to supplement with. Also foliar fed them some Cultured Dr. Growth I will be doing that once a week until the preflowers show. I can say that I have learned alot about the Bubba next run of these i will be running the rest of them i have and doing some pheno hunting 3 of the plants really are bubba leaning with big fans and short bushy plant. Going to supplement with some recharge on all these the end of the week. They are growing great those despite the mag issue one that epsom salt soaked in they perked up pretty quick. So I'm expecting everything to gp smoothly through flower cant wait to see what these ladies will do out of the 4 3 are for sure female. The showed sex after about week 3.

So 2nd week of flower and found out that one of the plants was a male so 3 out of the 4 are female thats not a bad ratio. So feeding wise this week I fed them with recharge and the normal feeding and also did a EZ tea bloom tea feeding as well. I did a little deleafing on the 3 ladies had alot of big fans to get out the way lol. they all seem to still be bubba leaning but we will see once the buds start forming on these ladies. Gonna do a feeding and do some foliar feeding with some bloom kaos and some EZ Tea Dr. Growth formally called Trigger. They really perked up after the recharge was trying to see what the hype was about and it really did seem to help but ill wait until a couple more feeding with it and see what I get. We did get some stretch with these girls but not a ton. But im gonna keep a watch to see if they stretch more.

Everything is looking great these ladies are perky and have plenty of flowering sites on these ladies. They are stacked very well and have a a very strong gassy smell to these ladies cant wait to see them pack on the weight . Stay tuned.

These ladies are looking and doing just fine. I couldn't wait to update to let you guys know that there is a pheno of this that smells just like cinnamon toast crunch lol. I cant wait to see what that taste like. The other 2 are heavy bubba phenos as you can see they are already starting to frost up and i cant wait until these beauties start to fatten up. These ladies are looking great as usual I did some defoliation to these ladies and things are looking great so far. These ladies are super frosty and sticky really strong smell of chocolate and coffee. The nugs are super dense golf ball size goodness lol. I cant wait to get these ladies finished and in a jar curing. I gave them a a good feeding this week and they will be getting a microbial tea next feeding and a another normal feeding.

These ladies are looking and smelling phenomenal. I cant wait to finish these ladies off this will probably the last week of feeding for the girls and then i will start flushing them with Herculean Harvest and Aphrodites and Triton trawl for a week then the last week just Herc and Aphro the first day of that week then just plain water until harvest. They smell of coffee chocolate and hints of pine and cinnamon. They all 3 really have the Bubba structure I do have one thats alot more purple than the other 2 but they all smell pretty much the same one has a little stronger pine scent. The nugs are rock solid and golf ball size nuggets of joy.

Had some power issues we were without power for a few days and the plants were a little stressed after being in the dark for 4 days then have the lights kick back on I dimmed them about half way for the first few days and after a mix I used for stress I gave them a feeding with some recharge to try to get them back going and I gotta say they have perked back up. Katsu said for them to be premium that you should take them about 9 weeks. So have about 2 and a half weeks to go. Stay tuned .

Just a few pictures before we chops these ladies down next week and start the drying process boy have these ladies been gassy this week lol the choclate/ coffee smell has really become prominent in these ladies. Can't wait to chop them and see how these beauties smoke. I have to say these are definitely some of the best looking buds that I have grown the colors these ladies show are truly beautiful the purple has really came out alot more in the last week. And also they have really gotten sticky /greasy. The resin production has kicked up guess they know it's almost harvest time lol stay tuned for the harvest and smoke report after about a 2 3 week quick dry and cure.

As you know this was a test grow for Katsu Seeds of there new strain "Hotcakes" which is Katsu Bubba X Burnt Toast from Raw Genetics. These were a joy to grow very easy not picky at all you can start light on your feed early and gradually increase as you go through Veg by the time it's time to flower they will be running full strength on food and loving life. I must say the yield in these were great as well rock hard golf ball size nugs with beautiful purple and green colors. You will start getting those coffee terps really kicking in after about your 3 to 4 week of flower. I have to say after I chopped these ladies and hung them to dry for a week. Afterwards I've had them hard and curing for the past month.I have to say this strain is no joke it hits you hard with the chocolate and earthy flavor and puts you right into that classic heavy stoned state. I smoke about half a raw cone and I was baked. I stared at the tv for about 30 mins until I finally passed out on the couch. This is definitely a evening smoke forrrr sure when you want to just sit and chill this is one thing that I truly loved about this strain is that it is by far the smoothest strain I've had the pleasure of growing. I will for sure be going pheno hunting with these real soon!
