First grow. Glueberry OG in a 2x2x4 tent. Placed the seeds in a shot glass with tap water for 16 hours in a dark cupboard. Transferred to a paper towel in a zip lock bag and placed in the same place for another 30 hours or so. Both seeds popped and had a pretty good tap that I transferred to a styrofoam cup. 24 hours later, the cotyledons were visible.
07/16 - Moved from organic forest medium to a garden soil in 10 liter pot. Mostly still doing periodic misting but game the soil a bit of water before the switch. Nothing to do but wait at this point.
07/17 - While there isn't much stretching, the plants are definitely progressing slower than I was hoping. Seems the light is probably pulling closer 100 W when you consider the fan. I am moving this cheepo LED from 24" to 18" to see what happens. Cheap Lux meter shows 12,000. Will monitor the situation.
07/19 - Good response to the LED move down to 18". Continuing with 1L/plant every 2-3 days (when soil dries out) with some light misting in between.
Back from vacation and will start giving each plant 1L of water every 2 or 3 days. Probably start with some nutrients this week, 25% of the total solution with 2/3 base and 1/3 bloom solution every second watering to see what happens.
08/05 - Topped the Blueberry plant at the 3rd true node. Will do the same for the Glueberry as soon as she grows a bit taller.
Topped both plants after 3rd node. Will do some LST and administer 25% recommended nutes at 67/33 veg/bloom.
Reacting well to 25% nutes. Week 6 I will switch to 50% strength at 67/33 veg/bloom every second watering. Currently about 1L per plant every 2-3 days.
Pretty much status quo at this point. Upping the water given per plant to ensure the soils gets a good soak with 20% run off. Doing 50% of the recommended nutes with the same 60/40 ish mix of veg/bloom.
Keeping up with the LST this week. Nutrients are at 50% still. Addimg every second watering. Going to add the ScrOG next week.
Other than that, nothing new. No pests, no signs of disease, under/over watering or nute burn. Just going to keep with what is working so far. Had some mushrooms appear but they disappeared just as fast.
Added some basil, mint and a gala apple seed I found germinating to the tent to make things interesting.
Going to spend another week in veg as I defoliated this past week and I want to let the plant recover. Everything else is looking good. RH is keeping consistent, no pests, no major nute issues. I am going to switch the next feed to 50/50 veg bloom for the next week. Other than that, just staying the course.
Flipped to flower this week. Keeping nutes bat 50/50 veg/bloom for another week. I can tell i am going to struggle with humidity, so I placed about 300g of silica in the tent and added another small usb fan.
Moving to 60/40 bloom to veg. Seemingly have the humidity under control at 40% for now. No real signs of any issues so I will just keep patient and let her do her thing.
Needed a vacation so the wife is taking care of the ladies. I am happy to report they are alive. Humidifier came this week so happy to be able to stay on top of that a little better moving into the final weeks. Certainly more to come next week.
Back from vacation and the ladies are still thriving! Finding some of the leaves are yellowing at the base. Probably need some more hydration. I will keep an eye on it.
Moved to 100% bloom nutrients. Being in the 6th week of flower and hoping the buds really start to fatten up. Currently they are healthy but small.
Blueberry seems to bee fattening up more than the Glueberry OG at this point, even though there was more of a stretch with the latter. I tightened up my ScrOG to allow for more air flow and separation between branches and the humidity seems to remain constant between 35-45%. All things considered I am happy with how things are going and looking forward to harvest.
Week 16 underway. Trichomes developing nicely, still mostly clear. This will be the last week I administer nutes before a flush. Fan leaves are staring to turn yellow and it would appear that this is a signal for the buds to fatten. There is no longer any nitrogen in the mix I am given. Humidity is good at high 30s. No pests. Plants have a nice blue tone.
Final week, giving her just water at this point. Fan leaves are yellowing fairly quickly and while the trichomes are getting cloudy there are still no sight of any ambers. Looks like the blueberry in the back is an little ahead of the glueberry OG so I might harvest that one first. Yield also seems better. I think I am going to adjust to 10-14 light schedule to see if I can get a final push to mature. Given she has been in flower for 8 weeks now it seems reasonable to do so at this point.
Pulled them out the tent today and chopped them down. Seen about 10% ambers in the mix and the rest seemed cloudy so I figured it was time. Preliminaty weight with stems and only a few small leaves was about 4 oz per plant. All in all a good grow. The branches are hanging upside down and the tent. Will report back with full harvest details when the time comes.
