Welcome to the ninth week for my dan Pedro ( echinopsis pachanoi) cacti’s!
They are doing really fine and there is some change in colour and length of spines!
I needed to replant them, because they fell out of their pot, due to my clumsy cat:/
Now I found out that I have one Twin! They got planted with more space to each other, so now it’s easier to count them and to let them grow
Sadly they fell out of their pot last week and didn’t recover well. Something was killing them really fast, only those ones survived, same with the peyotes. I transplanted them now and I hope they’ll recover.
Im sorry for the late Update. Sadly the peyotes died, I’ll continue the peyote diary with an other small one.
My san pedros are doing well, they have a cacti-like structure already!
I needed to take one small echinopsis out, ONE fucking fungus gnats flew out of the pot and she killed the tiny roots of the seedling, I’ll take a very close look on them now.
Hi there!
I decided to update the reports of my cacti every month now, so you can see a real difference in the appealing of my Trichocereus/lophophora seedlings. Both are doing good so far, Trichocereus looking thicc😋
The spines are bending a bit, I think thats happening because the space upwards gets quite tight now, that’s why I removed the lid. With that age they are fine receiving fresh air and lower humidity.
Welcome to my monthly update on the Trichocereus pachanoi!
They’re doing really good and start to grow out of their winter-break. Spines are all the way up without the lid!
See you next month or in the comments;)
I transplanted them into eazy plug trays filled with bio bizz light mix:)
They’re doing really good in them, I spray them once a week and they look super healthy
Finally the spines are coloured in a nice brown/reddish way and I really love it!
Now they have 2 more months to go until they receive their well deserved winter dormacy!
Yeah man! I used to grow them but I have never ever cooked them... They were cool growing rapidly but then somehow I think I have overwatered them and started rottening 😪😪😪😪😪😪🤧
I should have made the juice 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤯
@TheDoctor
Let's see that journey mate! Followed.
@Ferenc,
Hi!
Yeah they’re growing quite good! I mean it’s winter now in my area so they don’t receive so much light, I might place them in my grow tent next week. Currently I have some peyote seedlings in my tent to see how they react to the light. But it’s amazing to see the progress of the spines my pachanois are developing!
@PurpleWorship,
Oh yes it is! But I love growing cacti, because it’s like raising a child, you don’t need to kill her😅 I mean you can harvest them but they’ll pup a month later and it survived it:)
@DaSofaSurfer,
I bought these ones from zamnesia, but I have many seedlings from private sellers, because the localities of different cacti are always displayed in their growth and appeal
so your clumsy cat did a good deed in the end. I have a tabby as my garden sidekick. especially helpful defoliating . he just doesn't understand when it's needed and when it's not. he's still learning.
all the cats I've had nibbled on cannabis leaves and many other growers told me their's is the same way. nibbling on tips of fan leaves 🐈
