Got bored, why not just plant a bunch of seeds in solo cups anyway. July 18 - The seeds: six photoperiod seeds from my Laughing Buddha Clone 2019 (II), induced by a nearby industrial flood lamp. My alltime favourite strain, a high yielder, perfect for a bunch of mystery seeds. I won’t list Barney’s Farms because of the source of the seeds, but Buddha is Thai x Jamaican. The lineup: each with a different amendment mix as listed. Every seed gets one shot to germinate in a peat pod, no mulligans. So, a failed seed to sprout is also a failed attempt at a mix. All six fail, diary is deleted. I poked many holes on the bottom and side of each cup with a thumbtack, easily 100 hundreds each. No. One - 1 Perlite: 1 Worm Castings No. Two - 1 Perlite: 1 Worm Castings: 3 HP Pro Mix No. Three - 1 Perlite: 1 Worm Castings: 1 Alfalfa Meal Compost: 2 HP Pro Mix No. Four - 1 Perlite: 1 Worm Castings: 2 ASB Greenworld Black Earth: 1 HP Pro Mix No. Five - 1 Perlite: 1 Worm Castings: 2 ABS Sheep Manure Compost: 1 HP Pro Mix No. Six - 1 Perlite: 1 Outdoor Soil Dedicating this secret diary to “The Spider,” as the best webs are the hidden ones. Using the GrowDiaries function “Hide Diary” until it is fully completed, and then voila - entering at the last second! July 19 - Just waiting for germination. Currently inside under LED/fluorescent lighting. My thinking: its really late to start. Truthfully, this is just because I got bored - I’m not really trying. I basically used amendment I would be composting now that I’ve changed to Gaia Green product in my other grows, and six of many Buddha bag seeds I unfortunately got. I don’t think you really want the plant to fill the cup and start to struggle. My experience with multi-plant sharing same pot scenarios is that once it starts to get compacted you have diminished returns. So, I will give some time to reach out and explore the cups, then as the space starts to fill with roots it will be flower time. Buddha has a three week stretch so there will be plenty of pre-flower growth. I shouldn’t have to feed or muck around at all in the short veg., although I expect some of the potential seedlings to be overnuted. July 20 - Was going to be a hot day today, plenty of UV, so time to learn to survive if any beans are actually emerging. Other than perhaps pulling them inside during a projected thundershower, time to cook the germinating soil today. This will be the regular vegging spot into the fall, it can’t sustain a full visible public cannabis grow, but can grow a few solo cups for a couple weeks at intense full sunlight without suspicion. I allowed the solo cups to sit outside until about 10:30pm, giving an hour or two of rest period, then I moved them back inside to the LED tent to get extra lit time. July 21 - Back outside this morning. Looks like I have life. The Reverse Kramer, “I’m IN the contest!” First (perhaps only) to emerge is No. 2, the HP Pro Mix, worm castings, and perlite mix. If any were to appear, this is a good cup for an attempt. Look 👀, I grew wild flowers and sunflowers too. High of 28 Degrees Celsius, daytime length of 15hours16minutes. July 22 - Well, well, well. Ba boom. Laughing Buddha, as expected, is like Beast Mode: OFF [ON] Looks like 6/6 may make it and we have a true sample size with many mediums. Great catch at the end of the day, No. 1 was snagged in the peat pod mesh, I was wondering why it hadn’t popped out. I fixed it. Another lesson, I have them in a tray with no holes with the vision of nutes or run off cosharing amongst pots, and the wicking action absorbing. My goodness, I underestimated the wicking action and they really absorbed all the run off. It was going to be HOT today so I left an amount of water in the tray to cool them and absorb, it worked, but they are all soaked and heavy. No. 6 in particular got most of the water, the yard Earth. This was likely more to do with the levelness of the tray on the ground. Projected high was 29 degrees Celsius, daytime length is 15hours14minutes. Looks like thunderstorms and heavy rain tomorrow so the Secret Six will move inside after it becomes dark for an hour outside, for a constant light cycle for the next night/day. July 23 - Rain and high humidity as expected. Sleepover! The various strains are having fun, I’ve had to tell them to keep it down a few times. All six Buddha solo seedlings seem to be alive. Who invited the little kids? Am I right? Trying to keep this production on the down low 🙊 but there is benefit to some collusion so I am interested in how other Laughing Buddha seedlings do in this type of challenge. July 24 - Thus ends week 1. Its going to be a nice day. I wanted to show the plants that I’m a fun grower so we played some hide and seek outside to get acclimated to the yard - I won. Projected high is 29 degrees Celsius, the daytime length is 15hours10minutes.

July 25 - Another hot one. My area is having heat and humidex warnings. I had made some amendment tea using blood and bone meal, alfalfa meal compost, worm castings, and molasses, and gave it to the seedlings today. Risky, I diluted it, and then diluted again. Any trace nutrients are fine. We shall see what it does. End of day, they seem fine. No. 3, the one in the alfalfa mix, has been messed up since the start, but its very clear now. Could be the strength of the amendment (likely), but it could also be the root system. I noticed that cup’s medium was a rock after the first irrigation. I need a wetting agent or something. The projected high today: 32 degrees Celsius. The daytime length is 15hours8minutes. July 26 - Had to bring the seedlings inside during a rainy day. The clouds cleared and the humidity soared and so there was a chance to get back outside for the evening and night. I also gave a bit of water. Projected high today was 26 degrees Celsius, not sure if they were outside at that point. The daytime length is 15hours6minutes. July 27 - Tricked by the weather! It was rain and then breaking skies yesterday, with no projection of overnight rain, the container, ground, and solo cups say otherwise. Thankfully, it is blistering hot and humid so they look fine. No. 3 is still comically struggling 🤡 The projected high today is 29 degrees Celsius. It IS going to rain tonight so they will be brought in for 24 hours of warmth and light. July 28 - I played the indoor/outdoor game all day as the weather projected thundershowers, changed, changed again, etc. At the end of the day it turned out to be sweltering, so hot. They got a good amount of sun and UV. At the end of the day we did get eventual night time thunder and lightning, so they spent the night inside under LED light, to be moved back out come morning. July 29 - A good streak of heat wave continues for the seedlings (not for me). Its been hot. I got to water Nos. 1, 2, 4, 5. Projected high was 31 degrees C, the daytime length 14hours58minutes. July 30 - Raw footage director’s cut: moving the seedlings inside today to avoid on/off thundershowers. Outside freedom to creepy murder basement. Halfway through the video I realize I don’t have enough hands for the camera, seedlings, and door(s). Amateur hour. July 31 - The Original Six lineup: No. 1 - Boston Bruins with a good team this year. No. 2 - Chicago Blackhawks with the clear lead, dominating the standings. No. 3 - Detroit Red Wings at the bottom of the league, pitiful. I think it died. No. 4 - Montreal Canadians, probably in second place, and breathing down the necks of the leader. No. 5 - New York Rangers, respectable, in the thick of things. No. 6 - Toronto Maple Leafs, of course my heart is cheering this one, but just middle of the pack. Top dressed every seedlings with some worm castings and a small amount of Gaia Green 4-4-4 All Purpose amendment. Enjoy some photos from The Original Six era, circa late 1940s. Some of my favourite Leafs including two of the greatest of all time, the KLM line, and Gold Dust Twins. Syl Apps and Turk Broda in particular, went overseas to fight in World War II, returned veterans and then continued to play at a high level and light up the NHL. Post-war, they helped start the most successful dynasty in Maple Leafs history. Nice weather today, the projected high was 28 degrees Celsius. The daytime length is 14hours54minutes. Officially sub fifteen hours, flower is coming for outdoors.

August 1 - Flowering just around the corner! I’d say growth will increase in the next week or so. Laughing Buddha will be visibly budding into the third week of August based on last year. Just enjoying a little evening dusk. Projected high today was 27 degrees Celsius. Low will be 15 degrees, a huge relief for the area. Daytime length is 14hours51minutes. August 2 - Lets get at ‘er! Sun coming up and the surviving are looking perky. No. 2 is establishing itself as the alpha (fe)male. I gave some overnight steeped tea today, diluted. I took 1 cup blood and bone meal, 1 cup alfalfa meal compost, 2 cups worm castings, 1 cup Myke mycorrhizae, 2 tablespoons of blackstrap molasses, and filled a 17 Liter bucket. I pulsed it with a concrete mixer/drill for a day to aerate it. Then applied the next day. The projected daytime high is 32 degrees Celsius, the daytime length is 14hours48minutes. August 3rd - I took the seedlings in after sunset on the 2nd, as there were overnight rain showers. Back outside early in the morning shortly after sunrise. Another good day outdoors. Things started off a bit overcast but eventually got incredibly hot with lots of UV. The projected high was 31 degrees though I know it was surpassed. The daytime length is 14hours46minutes. No. 2 looks like the winner. Really starting to gain size and develop normalized leaves. Timing should be ideal as the days get shorter and stretch approaches. August 4th - More raw footage, my babies were enjoying a piano concert and I tried to capture the family moment with their uncle. I was sweating my balls off looking to clean my garage alcove for my outdoor flowering plants (check out Blueberry Clone 2020 (I) and Aurora Indica 2020 (I & II)), and was just dead tired so its muffled. It has been hot, a projected high of 29 that was surpassed and a daytime length of 14hours 43 minutes. August 5th - Blistering. It continues to be hot which us good for my expedited solo grow. No. 2 is the ribboned pig 🐷 🎀 🥇 The projected and surpassed high was 30 degrees Celsius. The daytime length is 14hours41minutes. This is significant because last year outdoors I would signal this as the beginning of a three week stretch for Laughing Buddha. August 6th - “Cannabis: After Dark.” Its like a new nighttime talk show. Chatty little bunch, “keep it down out there, dad has to work in the morning!” Projected high was 27 degrees Celsius, another clear day. The daytime length is 14hours38minutes. August 7th - Self-explanatory. Have fun and don’t try hard! Or at all, really. Projected high was 29 degrees Celsius. The daytime length is 14hours35minutes. Its on now, I expect stretch is under way as the daytime length drops fast. Flower time. I’ll likely be giving a couple weeks of natural stretch, then maybe choose a spot to flower these.

August 8th - Why won’t the sun go away?! The plants, on the other hand, are loving the heat. Things are looking green, partially thanks to the 24-8-16 All Purpose Miracle Grow (and blackstrap molasses) I have at dilute amounts. Little nitrogen boost going into stretch, and then more transition to flower food. The projected high today is 30 degrees Celsius, and it is hot, the daytime length is 14hours32minutes. August 9th - The heat still not letting up. Sweltering. The plants are too young to be doing anything major but growing. Giving water often to keep them moist. The projected daytime high was 32 degrees Celsius, the daytime length is 14hours30minutes. August 10th - “Wake up in tha mornin' and it's hard to live hard to live yes it's hard to live and it will be a long time before shit starts to give, every single day its getting harder to give but i would be up for being down with a ho lord knows that i got mic control do you got mic control? you notice your stylee is well original“ Hey, at least No. 3 is good for something, growing mushrooms just to be burnt up by the sun. The projected high today is 31 degreee Celsius. The daytime length is 14hours27minutes. August 11 - Nature is telling everything in my yard to bloom. Here is a comparison. The last is amongst some nightshade - (don’t) eat it ☠️. I gave some very dilute 24-8-16 All Purpose Miracle Grow because I wasn’t confident in the fading green. Over the course of the day they regained a deep green and should be ready to continue stretch and maybe even pop a little bud out. The projected high today was 33 degrees Celsius, the daytime length is 14hours24minutes. Tomorrow calls for rain so I may have to leave the seedlings with some cover. August 12th - A small proportion of the day, but massive downpour flooded parts of my city. Oh no! 🙀 Good thing these plants have a dedicated father figure! Cannabis kids > human kids. Projected high was 31 degrees Celsius and it was incredibly humid. The daytime length is 14hours21minutes. August 13 - Okay, I’ll be honest ... I never thought the details out. I may use my flower tent(s) to bulk the buds up, but I’m not sure when I’ll pull that trigger. The days have still been sunny and hot, and that big ball of combustion is the ultimate lamp. I gave a much diluted feed of 18-18-21 Miracle Grow Tomato food as the transition progresses. The projected high was 31 degrees Celsius, I never list the humidex/humidity, buts its hot! Climate change! Global warming! Thats for Silverback_Guerilla. The daytime length is 14hours19minutes. August 14 - Took a bunch of time today and trimmed the fur around my tan line as I prepare for the Bikini Buds Contest. Today is the WildeWeed photo session tribute 👊🏻 Projected daytime high was 31 degrees Celsius. The daytime length is 14hours16minutes.

August 15 - Finally, some climate relief. The projected high is only 23 degrees Celsius today, and you can tell it is cooler. This is what I expected from a summer day growing up off the Wolastoq river/Bay of Fundy when I was a kid. The daytime length is 14hours12minutes. A benefit of outdoors is the constant breeze which actually has the stems fairly strong. August 16 - Time is flying by. I’m thinking this would be a good last week outside, and then reevaluate the (lack of) plan. For now the weather is really holding up. I seem to have gained a little arachnid friend. I feel like I want to help him out and draw in all the flies. Still lots of green in the leaves. The projected high today was 28 degrees Celsius. The daytime length is 14hours10minutes. August 17 - Controversy ensues ... No. 4 has some balls forming! 😫 I am in total denial and refuse to accept this. How is it possible? What happened last year? Did my outdoor get pollinated, and I’ve been misled for a full calendar year? My paranoia concerning a nearby floodlight a total deception? Well now I’m really going to have to get creative and narrate. Maybe it is worth preserving pollen and get into the breeding game. I’m grilling my friend, the only sample size of growing one of these Buddha seeds out - it was female and lovely. But, now a full year later, are they admitting maybe a straight comparison to Laughing Buddha clone was not as good? Sullied by a nearby creeper pollinator? This is where Beans goes off the deep end. The projected high today was 26 degrees Celsius. The daytime length was 14hours7minutes. August 18 - Well, its time for a eulogy. It appears that I have another male. Its clear. I’ve lived a lie for an entire year, believing fake, larger than life fairytales. My source of seed wasn’t a light stressed hermie, it was probably just a run of the mill pollinated outdoor plant sullied by some random nearby strain. BudXs has taken me aside, given me the wisdom like any great father figure on Growdiaries - i.e. Beans, you are an idiot. Hundo. Today has been cathartic, I’ve done ample amount of discussion, thinking and reflection. There also seems like larger fish to fry around here. So, only fitting I shift gears and put this diary into the next phase. No males are coming into a flower tent, thats for sure. Lets be dramatic and bury them alive in my compost pile. Now there are three. The three amigos. Mark my words the next ball gets chopped up. This is why you plant six, fools! The daytime high today was 22 degrees Celsius. The daytime length was 14hours3minutes. August 19 - Shout-out to the growmies, need y’all today. Thanks for keeping my head on. Early morning shot. Three is a lonely number. The days are getting less reliable and less hot. Rains have been surprising and they are much cooler. Time to bring these babies indoors. I’ll get a headstart today and then reflect it in the week 6. I will flower right up until near the end of the contest, just giving enough time to dry. Projected daytime high was 26 degrees Celsius. The daytime length is exactly 14 hours. *Breaking News* The solo cups are back outside. I almost got caught with amateur hour 🐒 but not this time, not for this monkey. I sprayed the solos with potassium based soap as they awaited the HPS tent. Upon entry I happened to examine closely, aphids! They were suffering (the insects) which caught my eye. Out! Out! Out! No, not for a half-assed solo grow. No, no, no. I may reconsider if I heavily treat again. August 20 - My motivation has been sapped with these aphids hanging out on No. 6. I feel like No. 2 has a chance to really build. I will attempt to spray them again in a day or two and see how I feel about it. I didn’t get resolution but you can see two white specks hanging out. At worse they can continue outside but I feel like they need some extra juice, the days are getting mild. The projected high today was 25 degrees, the daytime length is 13hours58minutes. This type of weather is what the Maritimes are about, very nice. August 21 - End of another week. I just won’t give up on the American Dream and so I sprayed the three remaining solos with potassium based soap and neem oil. They are drenched in the photos. I want to give them time under HPS. I thought I broke my timer/fuse/bulb today, but just too stoned off of BudXs’ good product. Whew 🐒 The projected daytime high was 20 degrees Celsius though I believe it surpassed that. The daytime length is 13hours55minutes.

August 22 - I know, I know. I’m like stupid risk when it comes to cannabis. I just got rid of pests and I bring these solos in. I want to see some growth under HPS. I’ll even move them back outside eventually, I promise! (Maybe). Just don’t trust any of the plans. Definitely less exciting inside. August 23 - I gave some 0-10-10 Alaska Morbloom after yesterday’s update. This will be the first real cycle in the HPS. I’m curious how fast the cups will dry out. I plan on prevent pest treating again before letting them go. I should note I’m not stressed about anything in the tent as everything is almost finished, especially compared to the Buddha solos. But I’d like to be thorough with killing everything. I have learnt my lesson and all tents get swept and sprayed before transition anyway. August 24 - I treated again this morning before the dark period with potassium based soap and neem oil. I couldn’t sleep knowing the possibilities. Now I’m quite confident no harm will be done. I gave a good portion of water to rinse the soap through and make sure the HPS doesn’t dry them out. I don’t even feel they are full flowering because of their size, no matter, I’ll run them in flower right up until the end of the deadline. August 25 - Today’s edition: “If Beans Were a Serial Killer.” The rumors are true, this is where I send fake accounts, spammers, and those autoflower diehards. Dingy Silence of the Lambs type basement, yeesh! Just sort of waiting for major flowering. Obviously I’m putting all the chips in for No. 2. I’ll over water for certain to avoid a complete dry out, prepping for more food soon. August 26 - Steady as they go. Trying not to rock the boat and upset things. Everyone looks alive and well. I watered with 0-10-10 Alaska Morbloom with a popsicle stick dip of blackstrap molasses and Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag). It seems things are going to dry out quickly so I may need to rotate more irrigations with just water. Its tricky having such a hot HPS tent and such small solos. Something to note: sometime soon all the flowering plants are done. So, what happens to the Buddha solos then? Not sure. They aren’t staying in with a new batch of plants to flower, thats for sure. They might have to immigrate to another tent I have. I don’t see them doing anything special outside at this point in time so I’d rather them stay indoors. August 27 - BudXs Girth Edition. Look at the stem on No. 2! Wowzers! Looks like two are well into flowering now, No. 5 is still getting there. No need for liquids today. August 28 - The first documented week of flower complete. The stretch has been comical under HPS. That environment has come to an end as I have had to move the larger mature plants outside to finish. I’m serious about cross contaminating future HPS grows, this ape has grown up. No mixing. So, the solos have to go. My climate isn’t over powering anymore so a flower tent may still be the best option. Good thing I have another flower tent ... not on GrowDiaries as of this writing but soon in terms of breeding. For now, the solos are chilling under about 550 LEDs watts. Most of it is full spectrum, but some yellow, and other. I have No. 2 right in front of the yellow bulbs lol.

August 29 - Storming outside, tropical storm remnants, had to expose the little ones to the wind and rain for their curious inquiries. Then, back into the tent after photos. The drying out process will be a challenge as its not quite on a daily basis, but its fast. If I’m not careful I’d state I’m trying too hard at this. 61 days left in the 2020 Solo Cup Contest. August 30 - I envision these would be good solo cup basketball players. I’m thinking the little alien dudes from Space Jam. I fed 0-10-10 Alaska Morbloom with a popsicle stick dip of blackstrap molasses and Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag). I really saturated them. No. 6, the one with just earth from my yard seems to have decaying leaves and less stable pH. Dark alleyway photoshoot. August 31 - Just putting away the time at this point. Not much size, or beauty, but hey ... yeah I’ve got nothing. Going to see this one through! Video is of the cream of the crop, No. 2 which was a mix of HP Pro Mix, perlite, and worm castings. September 1 - Pistils across the board. I’ll be monitoring for any shenanigans. I don’t imagine there is much smell or potential yield, but I feel the half-trying, yet daily updates has been a success. And I can balance another dozen legit diaries with ease. No reason to give up now, moving on. I gave some water just to help rinse the food through, but I’ll give more water before another feeding. Maybe bust out the big boy food. September 2 - Trying to dry the plants out a bit and then apply more water and then food as stated. I can see No. 6 is not very happy with its leaf colour. Days are being overshadowed by more important cannabis business, and rightfully so - solo cup challenge afterall! This is back, back, back burner. September 3 - 22 inches! I love the comical plants. How much bud will these yield? Will I need to vape it all in one session? Story yet to be told. I was able to give No. 2 and No. 5 water so they will be soon ready for more food. No. 6 was still heavy with liquid so it will have to wait. The leaves on it are like, “noooooo,” and I’m like “shaddup, you!” September 4 - Another week down. Quite a journey so far. I applied some 0-50-30 Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz with some blackstrap molasses and Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag). So, big boy food. Lets see if they die... that would be less diaries! 🙀

September 5 - Dare I say they plumped up a bit? There may even be potential for a gram. I’m back to being invested, love it! Just drying out and soaking up the plant food. Lots of time before competition expiration date. I’m surprised by how quickly my creativity was sapped for photos hehehe 🐒 September 6 - Here we are again, why are we going in circles? Familiar surroundings. I threw the solos back into the HPS tent, not touching anything, and way off to the side. I have a new batch of plants to flower incoming, and I’m weighing risks. Also, I don’t know what I’m doing. I’m an impulsive gardener and get really stoned all the time. This flower tent should dry things out ... September 7 - Huh? Where did all these lovely pistils come from?! I should have kept the solos in the HPS the whole time, especially with the fact I moved them back with the generation I was avoiding contaminating anyway. Oh well, half assed and typical of my habits and lack of planning. 52 days left in the competition and I’ll need some time to dry the bud. I gave a water drench. September 8 - Just a bit more water to wash everything through, I’m not concerned about overwatering based on the extreme heat of the HPS tent. White pistils still shooting out of the twig stalks. Three little twiggys 🐷 September 9 - Just chilling, doing a bit of growing, hanging out in the heat. Not much to update other than just pistil action. Too much else goes on in the tent for me to get a sense of smell. I’m going to try to apply more plant food, worked out well last time. 50 days left for the competition! September 10 - A picture is worth 1000 words, a video is worth ... 10,000 words? So, 30,000 words? 🐒 I gave some dilute food because: why not? I was watering other plants with 0-10-10. Nothing wrong yet. September 11 - Its that time of yeeeeeeeear! 🧀 Go Pack Go! Thats all I can think about, the plants ... right, um ... looking fine. Drying out from yesterday. Shout-out to MUDBUG, you Saints loving bastard. Football!

September 12 - Just chugging along. I’m trying not to drown them so I will risk No. 2 getting droopy to allow them to dry out tonight - it is always the first to drink everything. The pistils are still shooting straight and white. Character, thats what this grow is about. Grit? Charm? Washed out yellow photos? September 13 - Some up-bud shots. I want to give more food but not time just yet. Heat pump install tomorrow so hopefully reduced temperatures? This is just a passing of time sort of day. September 14 - Heat pump installed, duct work set up with the tents. I will admit the flow is average but thats fine - better than nothing. Force feed some food tonight, 0-50-30 Beastie Bloomz with some blackstrap molasses and Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag). *Update: its chilled! I’m going to have to tinker with the system* September 15 - Things are routinely below 30 degrees Celsius now with the new duct periodically pumping in new air, this is surely good news. No. 2, No. 5, and No. 6 still remain alive in this diary. No irrigation today. September 16 - Time advances on. 43 days left in the contest. These Three Stooges are likely done bulking as I rinsed the food through. I may dial back to Morbloom next feeding. I certainly will try not to waste on such a small project. It may be the easiest trim job in history. September 17 - ‘Nother day, ‘nother trichome. No major changes as time just marches on. I am more than out of creative ideas to spice things up. I’ll be happy to get the daily task off my plate. Just glancing through other entries I don’t see any prizes in my future, but it has been a fun background project. September 18 - Another week done. This would be roughly four weeks of flowering, if this were pure Laughing Buddha I’d say six weeks to go. Because of the taint of whatever outdoor pollen, who knows. I will be moreso dictated by the solo contest. Just water for one of the solo plants which dries out faster (No. 2), and just time.

September 19 - A close up of the developing trichomes, the drugs, mmm’kay? No changes, no alterations, no adjustments or meddling. Full speed ahead. Very manageable temperatures. September 20 - Nothing to report, I was busy doing other diaries today. Plants are still alive and kicking. Lets get to the end! I did not even water today. September 21 - GrowDiaries was glitched so quite a process trying to get the update in - there is no real update today haha. No changes and just sort of giving water as needed until I feel confident to feed again. Time is counting down! September 22 - Same as the day before, no real changes, and no real action. No. 6 consistently dries out the slowest so the other two often get some liquid just to sustain them while waiting. These buds have somewhat come along if you consider the varying environments, little veg. time, and the fact they are off to the side of the tent. I might have to up my goal to 1.5 grams total. September 23 - Gave some 0-50-30 Fox Farms Beastie Bloomz with some added blackstrap molasses and Plant Prod MJ Spike (CalMag). Maybe I’ll get a bit more bulk, I anticipate fading it out now though anyway. We shall see how they respond (if at all). September 24 - Still going strong. Truthfully, I often forget about these three amigos. They won’t quit though. Hard to get any distinct smells in such a mixed tent. September 25 - I thought it was worth bringing the three solos outside for morning pictures and chill - week end full shots. I’d put them outside for the final weeks but for such small plants the weather has been inconsistent, with frost. So, for now they remain in the yellow HPS tent.

September 26 - 34 days left in the competition. I want to have a harvest so I’ll have to leave like a week to dry and consume. So, this means there is not much time left! Some feeding remains, and flushing of course, but its realistic to think there is only approx. four weeks left. September 27 - I can notice the smells now, especially when touching the buds. I might get a harvest, I never considered actually doing a “review.” Maybe I should consider what I’ve learned ... did I learn anything? September 28 - Fed some food, still just used the Beastie Bloomz because I was feeding others and I didn’t want to mix a whole batch for the solos, but I majorly diluted it. Bringing the concentration way down. September 29 - Falling completely apart with this one. Some days I feel like I’m updated and have a handle on it, somedays I feel days behind updates or forget if I am current. Clearly we are in the final stretch as my motivations are sapped. September 30 - Last day of the month and then we are into October which is REAL harvest season! It is tempting to put the solos outside for a bit to get the low temperatures and humidity, except for that my region has been really humid and damp lately. Hopefully some better fall weather will give me some flexibility as we close this grow out. October 1 - Busy, busy, busy with the rest of my grows. Not much attention paid other than to ensure they have enough water ... if that. I’ll be back to pay some attention in the coming days. At quick glance they are still alive, pistils spry. October 2 - “Family photo! Come on, gather round! Squeeze in! Now, hold still. Hands off!”

October 3 - No changes, this thing is dragging on. What will the vape be like? Will it be potent? Harsh? I will be sure to well flush the soil given the size of the plants. October 4 - Officially done with my outdoor so maybe the three solo cups will get 1% more attention. A ton of outdoor trimming done. *sarcasm: I dread the trimming for this solo grow* No major alterations or changes today. October 5 - No changes here, I can’t really invent events. I’m going to start flushing and get ready to close this up, as the contest is almost done! October 6 - I am hoping the pistils start to fade out soon. Continuing with the same plan, just water as needed and finishing up. The tent never gets above 30 degrees C at hottest now, as my climate is into fall. October 7 - Look at this tip. The old Statue of Liberty. No, not Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl. Trichomes a poppin’, pistils a poppin.’ 22 days left in the contest and I better get a move on! October 8 - Brainstorming on how to present the ending. Maybe a growmie who was a source of (non-cannabis) inspiration deserves a shout-out. I reckon not this weekend but next weekend is choppity chop for the three solos. Gave some water. October 9 - Customary full plant shot as per the rules. This is probably one of the last formal photo updates as we near the end. It is hard to believe we are almost there.

October 10 - Just continuing water, letting it dry, water, dry, etc. Enjoy some gratuitous trichome shots. Still mostly clear but we will need to finish up anyway as the contest is almost expired. October 11 - Still constant and warm in the tent, low humidity, unlike the very cold, fall outdoor weather. The plants are really nearing the end of life based on the stems showing signs of flushing. Harvest is less than a week away. October 12 - I feel like its close now. Okay, okay. A bit longer. Most signs point to the solos being finished, by some pesky pistils are just loving things. Perhaps a tribute to the HPS yellow. I am rushing things perhaps as I sense the contest will be done soon. October 13 - Time to end things .... FINISH HIM! Of course a full formal shot is in due order. They seem to have been unchanged for so long, I would certainly adjust my strategy next time in a future solo grow. I’ll expand on that in the harvest report. My plan is a couple days of dark and to dry up. October 14 - No photo, just sitting in the dark. October 15 - Pretty simple harvest of course. Bud wash as always. I’ll have to just time and coordinate the ending. See y’all soon.

Harvest was incredibly fast, *snip snip snip.* I wet trimmed, two step budwashed. First container is lemon juice and baking soda (and water), second container is a water rinse. Hang to dry. I was rushing the cure as the contest was ending, no worries.
