First time grow and finally got around to creating a diary just as I am near the end of the process. Didn't know what to expect but am pleased with how it is turning out.
Have really enjoyed growing it - it's a beast!
Thoughts / learning below:
- growing outdoors / in a greenhouse takes a lot longer than I thought. Reckons around 9-10 weeks but I am in week 18 now and probs gonna harvest at 19 so essentially double it has taken. I have contributed to this tho with some rookie mistakes.
- used miracle gro compost thinking it would be a good quality soil (which it probs is) but have since read that the slow release nutrients hinder your control of when the plant will flower
- even tho it is an auto flower I had to use a tarp to restrict light to 12 / 12 for a few weeks to kick it into flower at around week 9
- topped it around week 4 or 5
- used ona blocks to mask the smell when in greenhouse which worked at first but now the smell is overpowering (I like it but is incriminating to neighbours. Nothing been said so I'm happy with that)
- used bio bloom supplement during flowering with every water, 3 times a week
- started flush week 17
