Going good, the girls are looking strong 💪 they are really starting to take off we should see some explosive growth over the next few weeks, I love the DWC method the plants really are on another level compared to soil or coco, it's like a turbo engine compared to a naturally aspirated engine DWC has nutrients on standby rather then the natural way of the plant finding and then converting the nutrients for uptake DWC is almost like force feeding your plants then your plants can spend all of there energy growing, DWC also lets your plant roots grow faster and bigger with no resistance they can spread effortlessly through the water.
Week 3 is going alright the growth is starting to speed up, this is why I love DWC the growth rate is just incredible. The look and the structure are very similar to Gorilla Glue Auto.
Week 4 and powering on 💪 the girls are developing a sweet & tangy aroma. The growth is short, compact & vigorous, I will use selective defoliation instead of LST for these two.
Week 5, the aroma is increasing and they have started to pre-flower.
I have also started to selectively remove the foliage that is covering up any bud sites and hanging down under the plant.
One of them is also stretching a bit more than the other, I'm not sure why so it might be genetics.
Week 6 and powering on 💪, these ladies are starting to become very aromatic there's no hiding the smell I definitely recommend using air filtration if you need to keep it discrete.
A slight set back this week the girls were showing signs of nute burn, when I checked the reservoir the wand was flashing between 1400-1500 ppm, when I seen it I almost had a heart attack lol.... I think the bat guano was building up and causing it and I hadn't been doing enough water changes so I will do them in more regular intervals. I fully flushed them both and gave only water for 2 days to flush the plants out too, I also stoped the bat guano and started giving ozi magic tonic instead. Since doing all of this they are recovering fast so I hope it doesn't effect the end yield much.
Thank God for sticky cards, the girls are putting off some very nice strong aromas at the moment which have attracted Fungus Gnats. I have screens on my windows but these little buggers can get through. other then that they are going okay after I overfed them last week and now they are starting to fill out, one looks like it might be ready in a week or so and the other should be ready in about two more weeks.
The tall stretchy pheno has reached her peak and has now been put into darkness for 48hrs while flushing to increase THC production. I have taken a small tester bud off and quick dried it for a sample and it still smoked very good it has a sweet smell and taste of pine & fruit and the high is deep and relaxing.
The short pheno is still not quite ready yet so I will check her again in a couple of days.
This Phenotype of GSC is a very aromatic strain and smooth to smoke with a nice blend fruit & pine on the exhale. The high has a very deep and relaxing effect but with no couch lock, it's easy to relax but you can also get things done, this is the perfect stress releaver for me. I would of given more stars if the yield was better but I think that's due to my effect of the growing process because I believe I could of grown it better.
This grow was another learning process for me as I made a couple of errors along the way but overall I'm still staisfied with this grow. There were two different pheno's one short and the other stretched, the shorter one didn't frost up as much as stretchy but had a slightly higher yield, the individual weights are 126g for shorty and 114g for stretchy. Overall the grow could of been better and there's lots of room for improvement, I feel that I can do better next time but still Happy with it 😁
