Apologies for lack of photos for the first couple of weeks. Germinated in moist/wet paper towel inside a sandwich bag in a dark warm spot. ~24hrs to crack then into rockwool until seed opens. Couple of days tops. Then into 2l pot of coco.
Kicking along nicely. Inch layer of clay balls on top of the coco because I think it helps distribute the water more evenly over the coco plus hopefully stops any winged bugs from getting in and running amok.
Week 4. Everything seems to be going well, would like a bit more stretch though. Bit of lst on the lower branches to spread everything out a bit. Some light defoliation happening too.
Pistils everywhere in the last couple days so counting day 30 as day 1 of flower.
*Day 35* Stretching a bit, still doing some light defoliation and leaf tucking. No trichs that I can see yet. Kind of considering untying the bottom branches but don't want it to get too crowded in there. Overall pretty happy with how things are progressing.
*Day 37* Gave the tops a good tie down to spread her out a bit plus I'm only using a 250w HPS which has pretty average canopy penetration. A bit unsure on whether it was a good move or not, time will tell.
*Day 40* Not a great deal happening doing its thing, just grabbed a pic for the record. Temps a little high the last couple days hence upturned leaf serrations.
🌱 Day 42 🌱 Slowly starting to kick into gear. A few trichomes starting to appear, stretch has all but stopped. Began Canna pk 13/14 @ 1ml/L a couple of days ago, never used it with autos before so not too sure on the timing, we'll see. Temps a little high but not out of control, have a fan blowing onto the plant so the combination of the two is causing upturned serrations on the leaves. Still a bit of defoliation and slight lst to spread things out as much as possible.
🌱 Day 43 🌱 A few more leaves taken off, bit more pulling down of ties to level things out. I don't want any branch to take over and grow taller than the others, theoretically this distributes the plants energy evenly across the tops instead of into the one main stem when not tied down. I just like playing with it lol. Can see the wind and/or heat damage on the leaves. Humidity around 42%, probably doesn't help.
🌱 Day 45 🌱 Kicking along, got temps under control 24c and between 40 - 45% rh, spot on vpd so pretty happy there. Moved fan off canopy now it's cooled down too, serrations starting to respond. Could probably do with a good defol but I'll leave it a week I think.
Cheers for visiting and happy growing! ✌️
🌱 Day 49 🌱 Ok, 7 weeks. Increased the feed strength and amount the last week, pushing the limit though seeing some burnt leaf tips so will dial it back a little. Light is quite close (only 250w so every inch of penetration counts... lol) still a bit of serration curl but it doesn't seem to be affecting things too much. Gonna give her a good defol in the next couple days. Some nice trichome development now I think she'll be a frosty lady in a few weeks. Smells great very grapey almost like a red wine, mephisto had the scent description down pat 😍
🌱 Day 51 🌱 Starting to stink a bit now in a great way though, and buds stacking nicely. Bloody leaf serrations annoying me I think it's from such low humidity, sitting at around 40% before I water. Overall still pretty happy with things.
🌱 Day 52 🌱 Photo for the hell of it, seems to be thickening up every day now 😍😍
🌱 Day 53 🌱 Still pulling lst ties down and more defol to spread the heads out or else it's going to be a bit crowded in a couple weeks time. Getting tricky to get the watering can in there!
Thank you for looking! ✌️
🌱 Day 56 🌱 She's fattening up so nicely now quite impressed. Stopped all feed except base nutes and multizyme as per house and garden feed chart. Sticky and stinky as anything. On track to stop nutes at the end of this week, flush for one more with ph 6.2 water and chop at day 70 - 75.
🌱 Day 57 🌱 Temps wandering up a bit could do with 5c less please 😂 Bit more leaf tacoing not sure if that's from the warm, the low humidity or because I've cut their feed strength in half over the last few days. Not too worried I won't be smoking the leaves and the rest looks quite ok in my opinion. Can see a few pistils dying off, which is to be expected around now.
🌱 Day 60 🌱 Not a lot to report, drinking a bit but temps still high. Might need a bigger pot next time water is pooling on top so must be a bit rootbound. Still smells amazing!
Thank you for looking and happy growing!!
🌱 Day 63 🌱 Fatty mcfattersons 😂
Chucked another small fan in blowing at as much of the lower area as possible, rotating plant every 10 or 12 hrs to hopefully get a bit of airflow through it. Very tight in between the buds. After a bit of reading my crispy tacoing leaves could be caused by running 24/0 as well as the low humidity/high-ish temps. Not fussed buds look good to me, another 5 days maybe a week and I'll chop day 70 because my next run needs the space.
🌱 Day 64 🌱 Going to stop all nutrients tomorrow. Some parts would be ready now if I were to judge the old way by pistils. Have read a few reports on not to judge an autoflowers readiness by trichs either but who knows, I'll probably pick a done looking bud off to dry soon and if it's good enough for me it's ready, not enough experience with autos to make an informed decision 😂
🌱 Day 67 🌱 Took a few leaves off, stopped all nutes just watering with ph 6.2 water. A couple amber trichs here and there, mostly cloudy but still some clear. Still planning on chop @ 70 or 71 days. Smells lovely too.
Once again thank you for looking! 👍✌️😊
🌱 🌱 Week 10 🌱 🌱 Done like a dinner 🤪🤗
Unable to harvest her until tomorrow afternoon but gave a quick defol to help speed things up. Relatively happy with how she turned out, very easy to grow and handled pretty high strength nutes and all over the place temps/humidity without too much fuss at all, plus me training it all of a sudden at week 5 or 6. Smells amazing, fruity but offensive at the same time. Most likely snip any bigger leaves that are left off and dry trim the rest on a week or so.
Cheers for checking my diary out! 👍✌️
