My 1st grow on Grow Diaries. Barney's Farm Cookies Kush.
Seed soaked in water and put to dirt afternoon of Aug 13. She broke ground on the 15th and by the 16th was reaching for the sun, or at least the led lights.
Attack of the Fungus Gnats!!
Saw them in the soil of the seedling, decided that since she was young and growing strong I would take a chance and change out the soil and repot her.
It slowed her down for a couple of days, but was soon back to normal growth. Tough Cookie!
Cookie is back to full health after the gnats/transplant. Great root growth coming from top to bottom of cup, will need repotting soon.
Didn't mention it last week but I ordered nematodes to deal with the gnats. Had a swarm in late Spring, used fly paper, a jar of apple cider, and nematodes...worked like a charm. This bunch of gnat came in with a bad bag of dirt, not giving them a chance to get settled in.
Cheers!
Cookie is growing full speed again. I moved her a bit too close to the light and she yelled in bright yellow to let me know.
Switched from Mega Crop regular to the Mega Crop 2 Part....plants seem ok with the change.
Cookie is growing at a great rate. I will top her and start a quad-line at the end of the week. I'm letting her grow at least 6-7 nodes so I can grab a couple of cuttings.
Cookie is running at full speed. A gentle rub of a stem gives a wonderful and strong scent of Kush. {love that Kush smell} She's drinking more and more each day, def ready for transplanting to a 5 gallon grow bag. will do that in a day or two. Really good news...I took 2 cuttings from her, put them in a spray box, and 1 of them is about to pop roots. Vibrant is the word of the week.
PS...just got Barney's "Runtz Muffin" seeds...can't wait.
Cheers!
