Just getting started with 2 seedlings. Have them in small Solo Cups with "humidity domes", which are actually Dairy Queen covers. Don't judge.
I got hooked up with a 500W HID for veg and 500W HPS for flower. This is pretty excessive for a 2x4 tent, but they were free, so I'm trying to make it work. I've gotten temps to be stable at 75, but my humidity is at 10% RH. I have a humidifier going and a wet towel, but the RH doesn’t budge. I’m assuming the problem is that my exhaust fan is sucking out any moisture I’m adding. I have the fan on medium to try and control the temp. I'm experimenting with opening more vents to see if that might help. We shall see.
UPDATE: I added a small clip fan to the tent. It's blowing the vapor from the humidifier into the direction of the plants. This has gotten the RH up to 20%.
Good luck with the grow!
As for the RH, you're right, probably have 'too good' air exchange and the fresh air that comes in is relatively dry, although 10% seem a bit low even then. You can put the exhaust on slower speed or connect it through a timer ;)
@bobo420, I'm having a hard time finding the right balance. If I lower the fan speed, temps go up. I put a clip fan in the tent last night to circulate air a bit better and lowered the exhaust fan. We'll see what that does.
