Pheno #1 is getting fatter and fatter by the day although she is starting to fade out a bit. It’s a shame I had to tie her down because I swear her main cola would have been a foot long 😂She is also sensitive to light and has received slight amounts of burn and bleaching. She is the largest of the three but she has the least amount of resin and terpenes which is a bit unfortunate... She smells earthy, no banana scent or fruit terps like pheno #2. I still have about another 4+ weeks to go so that could easily change but we will see. I will try to be optimistic!
Pheno #2 is a frost monster. She is completely covered in resin and trichromes. Her smell is out of this world, definitely has that banana fruity type smell. I don’t think I have smelt another strain quite like this so I’m very excited to see how she continues develop.
Pheno #3 is a bit funky. She is stretching and getting bushier but she is extremely slow to flower. She has tons of shoots and bud sites. Almost every popcorn type branch at the very bottom raced to the top of the canopy. I feel like she hasn’t changed in the past couple weeks but maybe that’s just me being impatient. She is developing some interesting deficiencies but only on a couple leaves here and there. She is also somewhat lackluster compared to the other two. In my opinion she is a little dull looking...
It’s odd to see how all three pheno’s are expressing different traits regardless of being grown in identical substrates with identical feeding schedules. It’s hard to say if it’s the genetics, substrate or the nutrients but I have a strong feeling it has more to do with the medium not being properly balanced. I normally would never grow with such a light substrate but DP grew theirs in a similar medium so I thought for the first time around I’d try to grow similar to their style. Next round I’m definitely going to switch it up and use the NFG or a custom soil blend I’ve been developing for auto flowers. It should be nice to see how a commercial soil compares to a homemade organic soil tailored for auto flowers. I’ll most likely run that experiment within a month or so once I get my new grow space setup.
This week I’m going to lay off the nutrients and feed with some compost teas and microbes instead. In the video you can see my smaller brewing bucket. This is a mini-Microbulator along with an air stone. This allows for maximum dissolved oxygen saturation and also helps with preventing anaerobic spots in the brew.
Set up a new space for future grows. Will top out the max I can grow in MI at 12 plants within the next couple months! Thanks to @MarsHydroLED

@Mrs_Larimar, Thanks! They all look slightly different from each other but all smell about the same. Should be interesting to see how they look a few weeks from now. Thanks for stopping by! 🤙
Looking nice and healthy. Im growing the same strain and they seem to be strong and healty plants! Super bushy, and with lots of tops. Check my diary if u dont mind! Happy growing
@yomi23, Thanks!! I see you did some nice LST on yours, I’ll probably start LST in the next few days or so! I followed your diary, I’m excited to see how it turns out!
Fresh.
I totally stole your rain science bag idea.
Ordered 4 wowzers they ain’t cheap lol hope they give me a little more wiggle room for a baby room humidifier I got my eye on.
Cheers
Josh
Sorry to her about your girl
I’ve been popping by to see any updates.
Have you ever had heat issues in the pass ?
I’m finding it hard to find the sweet spot.
It’s on avg. 5° hotter inside my box then outside.
My apartment is 22°C (71°f) and the box gets past 27° (80.6°f) all the time.
Poor baby’s that’s to hot for them.
I’m also finding it super hard to regulate RH.
You have any experience with these issues ? Any advice ?
Cheers
Josh
@Hahshshshshsnanamamau, Thanks man, it was definitely a dumb mistake!
I used my USB led and turned off the exhaust to kick up the humidity and drop temps. Later on I forgot to turn on the exhaust so when the full spectrum lights kicked back on in the morning temps got up to 90 degrees! Thankfully only one died but two got damaged. Ive been trying to nurse them back without any issues..
I moved my boxes to my basement which is always around 65-68°F. I get a 10 degree increase with the lights so I’m always in the 76-80° range. I use Agsil16h to help the plants deal with the additional heat stress. My last plant grew within an inch between it and the grow light for 16 weeks and I didn’t deal with any light burn. The silica really helped her manage all that extra heat.
As for humidity, I only care to keep it above 55% until the 2nd week of veg. I use clear plastic cups and Tupperware to cover the seedlings for additional humidity but will also lightly spritz the plants with spring water and or water/Agsil16h mix throughout the day. Once the plant gets into veg a bit 50% and below RH is optimal!
Is your RH too high or too low? Also, check your chat messages, I started a group chat for StealthBox growers so we can shoot ideas, troubleshoot, etc.
@Hahshshshshsnanamamau, It definitely could! I have the bags close together for water retention at the moment. I think I could honestly fit another one of these 2gals right in the middle if I had another! Next round I’ll give it a try! I have another stealth box going but that one is recycled/no till with living mulch, worms, etc. I’m waiting at least a month for the cover crops to become established then I’m going to plant dark devil in that box!
I also purchased a single fabric Grow bag that is 4.5gallon. It’s about 4inches shorter than the stealth box Grow bags so I think with the added volume and shorter bag I could get one large plant going maybe around the size of 150g-300g
